Im currently playing GW2 on my laptop which is roughly 4 years old and it just isn’t eorking for me properly…

So I decided to buy a new computer, a desktop one this time, as Ive heard desktop computers are better for gaming needs.

I’m not very good with computers, so I wonder what specifications my computer should have.

Also, what internet speed would I need to optimise my GW2 gametime?

So, how much RAM, what graphic cards properties, what CPUs, etc… and what internet speed would one need to be able to play WvW laglessly.

Im looking for a sPvP build mainly, which I could preferably also transfer to WvW with a few tweaks later on.

The goal: Kill.
In WvW I want to roam with it, mainly killing other roamers.

In PvP, I want to wreck anybody trying to steal my point. :P

I was wondering: what stats do we transfer onto our phantasms if any? Or do our stats not matter with the phantasms?

Also, which weapons should one use to make the most of phantasm builds? And traits?

That being said, Id also like to know if you guys have any phantasm builds to recommend.

Hi guys!

Im oRx and I recently decided to roll a Guardian. I only play PvP and WvW, no other game content so I’m only interested in these aspects.

The reason I rolled a Guardian is because I want a heavy class, and Warriors seem too plain for my taste.

However, I encountered trouble as soon as I finished my introduction story.

Namely, I realised Guardians aren’t much of a solo profession, but much more a team one. Now me, I prefer solo play; to be self preservative.

So what I need is some tips on how to adjust my guardian accordingly, as I’ve really no clue.

Here’s what I mainly want to achieve:
1. Be able to 1v1 efficiently – I can fight on my own then, without the need of a team, and without wasting traits to compliment the team, since I don’t have one.

2. Dish out nice damage – Again, I prefer to dish out more damage and sacrifice a little bit of survivability than the other way around. I want to be on the offense mainly.

3. I want to use two handed weapons as much as possible (staff, greatsword, hammer) as I really prefer these to any other, but this isn’t that necessary.

I was wondering about what the actual difference between a D/D and a D/P thief in PvP is?

I’m a somewhat new player, especially to the thief, but I can see everybody says how the “meta” is D/P, all build sites feature D/P builds, but I couldn’t find any D/D builds, even though it seems somewhat simillar?

I run a D/D build nevertheless, because I find the dagger off-hand more optimal due to the stealth gain from the skill 5, but I still wonder, what’s the real difference if I wore a pistol instead?

Also, can you provide me with any build suggestions / builds I should try if using D/P or D/D?

Dude, we’re all (or almost) buddy-buddy down here on Bronze, my response to Rimmy isn’t a serious one. I even added a “huehuehue” to show that it wasn’t serious but I guess you missed that.

That said, you should consider most of the bronze servers. DH, EBay, ET, FC are all good options (Altho FC is kinda dropping to the “no fights tier” atm). I don’t recommend GoM because everyone that I know that came from there only gave me negative feedback, but you can go there too and fight us if you wish.

My apologies then, I thought you were trying to offend him for no real reason. I’m mostly considering EBay right now honestly, because I seem to get the most pleasant invites from their side.

Again, sorry I assaulted you like that then, we misunderstood each other apparently.

Also, @Jeknar please do not hijack my thread or use it as a starting point for conflicts, go do that somewhere else. Also, only the fact you have to assault Ehmry Bay over the forums kind of proves your skill in WvW on the battlefield (no offense though)…

In addition, I never said I was joining a T1 or a T6 server, so Ehmry Bay is definitely more than an option, as I got several invites to it (some also via PM) and I generally found them very nice.

I am however European, and I’m adding that to the OP just to make sure there’s no misunderstandings.

Again, I’m still open for all invites, please do throw some more so I have the full picture!

I’m oRx, I just recently got GW2 and started playing, mainly because of the WvW and sPvP it has to offer. I read about people getting upscaled in WvW, but it does not reach my expectations. Sure we get upscaled, but we still lack all the utilities, gear stats, sigils and runes, etc..

So, it became clear that before level 80 I will not be able to contribute much to the WvW, so I rather not go there, even though it’s by far the most enjoyable thing in-game for me at the moment.

What I was wondering about is, how to level up as efficiently as possible?

I know I may miss a lot of the game’s content and such by “powerleveling” or sticking to one method alone, but honestly, I don’t care. The way I feel right now is, the more content I skip, the better.

All I’m really here for is WvW (no offense to the PvE community or whatsoever, each to his own) so I’d rather not get involved into too many things, as they frankly bore me.

If anybody has any suggestions, please do hand them out as I’m really struggling here to level lol. :P

Hello everybody!

I’m oRx, a new European GW2 player, who wishes to focus on playing WvW most of his gametime. For this sake I am looking for a world, and even more importantly a guild to represent and do it with.

First, I will point out the things I wish that my guild is all about;

1. Minimum requirements. I cannot stress the importance of this rule enough for me. I understand a requirement such as TS3 during raid time, or whatever, but that’s about it. I will under no circumstances join a guild that requires a microphone, simply because I do not have one and do not enjoy using one, and also believe that the only one speaking should be the commander. I will also NOT join ANY ELITIST GUILDS!!! I am a new player and if you cannot be tolerant and let me learn, that’s a no-no for me.

2. A friendly and helpful environment. Again, this is VERY important to me. I am a new player and I will probably need a lot of help, support and friends through my learning of the game and it’s mechanics, so yes, I’d be very glad if the guildies were as friendly as can be.

That’s pretty much it honestly, now a little something about me, just so you get the idea who you are recruiting for your guild.

I’m a new GW2 player with little to no experience of the game. The reason I bought the game is fully because of it’s PvP and WvW features. I plan to do WvW almost all of the time, and a little bit of sPvP on the side, but almost no PvE. I know the idea of recruiting a new player for a guild may seem weird, or even funny, but I can assure you I am a fast learner, and a dedicated player, so keep your mind on that aswell. I plan to represent the guild at all times and bring victory to my server.

I do however prefer the idea of intense PvP in WvW, rather than avoiding combat at all cost, and only just cap towers and such, even though I am aware of the importance of owning these spots.

I have not decided what class/profession to roll my main on yet, and I’m honestly open for debate and suggestions here. The classes I’m willing to roll (the first one being the one I’m leaning towards the most and the last one being the least likely to roll) are: Mesmer, Elementalist, Thief, Guardian, Ranger or a Necromancer. Again, this is still open for debate.

That’s pretty much it for now honestly, if you have any questions please do ask.
