But seriously after the elder dragons die off unless they copy and paste more with diff names, i can see dhuum becoming a pretty ba villain…… to reclaim whats his, would he resurrect the dragons against the gods to get what he wants, despite his hatred of the art the world of tyria their battlefield as we get caught in the crossfire helpless

The gods can’t controle what the ED’s do, dev interview said that the power of the ED’s and the gods was comparable.

Though, there are some ghosts in arah that are trapped there because theirt ship was sailing in the area when orr rose. So zaiatain might not have controle of souls.

If the gods are comparable to EDs then the gods are as much as a joke as zhaitan was…. Minion masters with no real threat/fight ftl lol like i said… Ive always thought the gods were nothing more than very power masters of the classes but very much mortal/killable if killing zhaitan compares to killing someone like grenth then pfft they a joke… Eat airship megalazors!!! WE are the new gods lol but like i said ED are no threat to the gods or they’d help us, the gods use the EDs as tools… The dragons keep us from over throwing the gods and taking over the mists thus basically destroying the known world

Id also like to think the gods could easily control the doings of the elder dragons, they’d never allow the ED to live if they were a threat. It’s easily theorized that the gods use the elder dragons to stop the races of tyria from reaching god power status. The gods are very much mortal (see abbadons death) and their powers are also limited (jotun was said to posses power and magic equal to if not greater than the gods themselves. They use the dragons cycle to keep their status..the fact that they have returned to the mist and all of the dragons are now awake means we have gotten too strong and they are preparing to knock us back to normal…. There could be a pretty good theory of the gods controlling scarlet to wake up mordy because of us killing zhaitan, the gods fear us becoming too powerful the cycle could be reset and dhuum could easily become a ally if hes free of his prison or he could just kill us all he is the REAL god of the underworld after all

And Zhaitan’s power is corruption, decay, and undeath. Not resurrection.

Risen are undead which can also fall under the term resurrected corpse or even the souls of the kings and queens to be resurrected as eyes of zhaitan, i don’t believe dhuum would agree with that

Idk if he was free i think he’d def make it known because as it stands he would be THE god, the most powerful being in tyria, and if i was him… The one most p***** off at the world… He now has free access to alot more than the underworld… The gods are missing he can easily promote himself to god of all since grenth and friends are MIA

With the gods gone playong in the mists what happens when Dhuum breaks out of prison and theres no one there to rival him any more? Seems like a much bigger threat than silly dragons

Since i’ve logged in today none of my tabs are working except Pick Up it pretends to load for half a second then simply goes blank i’ve tried the relog method but no such luck

Ok in the middle of map completing Lornar’s Pass on my necro i got to thinking i want a heavy melee class but i also want my necro so me and map chat got to talking and we propuse maybe looking into these new weapon skills for each class,

Polearm/pike Warrior/Gaurdian (spears included into the catagory anything on a long pole basically)

Dual MELEE sword or mace nerco with a possible life steal build to go with (steals life on hit based off a certain % of the damage you do (so attack speed will be key unless you use mace which base damage/crit would be the key factor)

Sonic screwdriver for engie (easy one)

Crossbow Ranger (does higher base and crit but slower than longbow)

Shortbow/longbow ele/mez the Ele shooting elemental arrows based off what element he/she is in and mesmer using bow with clones would give a satisfying illusion of magic arrows flying from every direction

Anyways i hope anet sees this and hope other players can come up with some new ideas to help make the game better

I remember a dev posting somewhere on here that we may want a potato but they want to take it farther and make it a baked potato or mashed potatoes but no…. They are making us gamble for the simple potato that we from the start asked for want me to buy the potato? GIVE me the potato i dont want to gamble my money away for that said potato you are a potato seller anet not a yam seller your business stays afloat on you giving us the simple uncooked potato that we very nicely then eventually rudely ask for, uk skins upgrades and utilities are your biggest sellers put more out there id live to sink my money into some newer wep skins for my toons theyd def get my money if they would just deliever the freaking potato that i asked for in the first place

Its not as harsh as that… Nc_soft are just multimillion dollar investors, if you were in their shoes would you really go “SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!” Towards a aging game that doesnt bring in a big revenue of profit because the games life support is a weaksauce gem store thats not even putting out decent armor skins anymore but surviving off of fuzzy hats and outfits, who doesnt even make profit on their wep skins because they require ridicules amounts of gambling to receive them instead of out right placing them on the gem store which would rake in ALOT more money

Does anet have a community director? And if they do then where the heck is he/she why arent they herding the public into the next installment does anet not have someone to represent them?

Why would mordy control scarlet to wake her up early? Dragons sleep for a certain amount of time kinda like hibernation why would a bear try to wake itself up in the middle of its hibernation… Mordy eats poops sleeps, theres very little mordy would gain from scarlet waking her up and cant a dragon simply just wake itself up? Whats the point of going through all that trouble to wake yourself up…. I honestly dont see how people are coming up with the idea that mordy got inside scarlets head to wake itself up (very angrily with a huge roar i might add) it makes ZERO sense who really led scarlet to mordy ???

No teasers this week ? I was expecting an announcement of season 2 content for today.
I know the festival of the four winds is gonna last four weeks, but so did the updates last year, and that did not stop Anet from announcing the following week’s content.

And wheres your link to prove the 4 week statement? Anet hasnt announced when Festival of the four winds will end for a reason… Its not certain yet… They will play it out until the community gets sick of it until they complete S2 if they cant hold the community’s blade off their throat with festival any longer and S2 still isnt ready then they have a backup stealth called Dragon Bash so they have no plans of pulling festival out until we make them but they cant deliver S2 incomplete so we’d just get dragon bash 2 weeks after festival of the winds ends when it ends

Yet it’s an assumption seen on dulfy: Dragon Bash is in June (recurrent event), but without LA no Dragon Bash, so they’ll probably make it last till LA is back, and the welcome party will be Dragon Bash

Plus, they stated that they’ll add hints about LS2 during the event, so IMHO we have 2 weeks of FoFW, then a little update, and another two weeks

Yet I’d prefer your version of 3 weeks :P

I wanna think itll be 2-4 then IF they really need more time throw out dragon bash to feed us till completeion

Should last another 2 weeks or they could pretty much prolong it to help delay more content so that they can put more time into S2 as of right now the festival stands until S2 is complete so ull have plenty of time to grind it away its not ending any time soon they def made it clear

We should be getting a s2 intoduction at the end of the festival not hintsthat should already be there anet really prolonging it i hope its worth it

Apparently when they meant hints they meant nothing…. They gave us nothing hinting towards s2 unless we get to kill the dragon in china…. No one seems to see a single major hint giving any teasers to s2 whats up anet why arent u good on ur word

Anet knows exactly what its doing… It put out old ls items for china to catch up on because there was no game for them during ls1 and its really just a simple decision if they want to keep returning items… It was all made to welcome the Chinese community and i think they did a really good job on it, anet and ncsoft are multimillion dollar companies with a multimillion dollar game trust me they know EVERYTHING they are and want to be doing (alotta people always forget how much money is put into an mmo for some reason)

Nah, im pretty much done with pavillion ;P just did it 2-3 times to get gauntlet tickets/acievements for my second account

These days i much more enjoy flying dolly ;P when the lightning shoots those dollies down….priceless ha ha

Anyway, now that ive put more thought into it, i think some “normal” and “hard” mode would be quite a good idea for festivals/LS, normal mode would have normal rewards and for those who want to coordinate, some kind of guild thingy can be put in to start hard mode with increased rewards (ultimately if you “fail” hard mode you get normal rewards). I have always been in favor of different difficulty levels, BUT, not different rewards just more rewards for hard mode.

Well, something in that direction. Pavillion is supposed to be returning festival? Then something can be done as i know those who dont coordinate dont have fun with it and it doesnt have to necessarily be that way.

Different mode zones would require way to much work we are only getting festival of the winds now because the players were content hungry and anet needs more time to deliver an awesome s2 i got 2 back skins and a bow skin for my ranger/warrior i cant be any happier but like i said we wont see much of a big change like that in festivals because thats what they are, just something to hold us over till the big one comes most i see changing is festival items swapping out or something every other year

Pfft merge and lock its nothing but hypocrites they’d be begging for a re-release if something like a family member dieing or as simple as ur network going out for the event stopped them from getting the items the first time around, id understand if they followed what they preach themselves but not a single one of them do hy….po….crits

Not really astra its sad that people are too lazy to put any thought into their fights crown pav is far from a one button zerg win it takes using your mind and alil something called common sense anet is pusjing the players to actually play and enjoy the content instead of zergfest 1 button mashing laziness that complains that theres no content left because they zerged through it without a 2nd thought of whats actually being played (we zerg trampled it why isnt there more content to trample already????) this way you can actually appreciate a good fight instead of mindless npc farming anet did a WONDERFUL job

Ive spent about a gold in wp fees the rope to the red airship just isnt solid enough to jump onto (you fall to your death) there is no way to the red airship sadly unless someone breaks the invis barrier somehow

Jormag is basically on hoelbreks door but we arent going dragon hunting for him… We also know theres old K in the crystal sands that we are doing nothing about why would mordy be any different “oh look a new dragon so lets just go easy mode kill it cause we already killed one” ummm no… The ONLY reason why we are looking for mordy is to prepare for the devastation to come from the dragons wake (i.e. Kinda like tracking a hurricane, you find it with the satalite so that you can tell people to ger the hell outta there) i don’t know what has it in your head that the dragons are gonna just kill over and die theres a reason why entire civilazations have wiped and also why it took this long just to kill one, i expect jormag to go before mordys ever touched and thats gonna be years and ill be playing gw3 by then

Mordy is just gonna turn into another jormag and the story trail off to us defending for our lives like usual unless tengu join the fight we arent exactly on the offensive to slay another dragon

2nd pale tree would be in magus not maguuma so no such luck on that but it erks me that the neighboring zone of maguuma is unplayable because brisban and magus will be the most devastated (but we know so very little about gw2 magis that any devastating effects from mordy will pretty much go unseen by the player until they finally decide to finish working on the zone

Well we dont know because ANET WONT TELL US WHERE THEY ARE WITH GETTING S2 ROLLING (HINT, HINT ANET insert a reply here!) they could be rolling it out after this fest or need more time getting things finished and shove more festivals in our faces to get alil extra time

Its a mmo its not suppose to continue it may play like a book but there cant be a ending (dragons are dead and the races of tyria lives happily ever after) ummm no it has to be the same from vet player to new player to keep new players joining the game like i said theres a reason why the coyote never catches the roadrunner every other mmo doesnt just stop continuing when you reach endgame they have it set up where the fight is never ending (because players need content to play or game gets unplugged because vets think they deserve to beat the game…) you can’t beat an mmo lol

Honestly they can introduce all the dragons via living story but as players we’ll never be able to fight and kill them because without elder dragons GW2 wouldnt have an enemy its like the road runner and the coyote i remember seeing him finally catch the road runner and held up one of his signs sayijg “now what?” Id love to whoop mordys butt but i dont ever see it happening

Yes they will…because in the future, when they start seasons or events, they want to do it simultaneously allover the globe…not “EU/NA get first..China gets after 1 month” that’s both stupid and counterproductive.

What are you even beginning to talk about? Chinas syncing in with us/eu they will log in and be at the same place we are in the LS there is no S1 for china they have to just watch the centimatics and fill in the holes they wont get to fight scarlet and never will

I think the living story is more of a end of the story type event thats brings the big boom…. While the personal story fills in all holes so that even if u miss the living story ull still get the jiss because u have the personal story providing the MAIN story (notice they added the aetherblade dung inside twilight arbor to fill in the holes of S1

So we’ll never have the option to replay old content unless anet wins the mega millions lottery and feels generous to waste money on us. Its a nice thought tho

There’s still hope with the Chinese! All that money they (hopefully) will be making can be put to some content sustainability. It’s a nice thought. It’d be like missing out on the first season of Game of Thrones and not being able to find past episodes anywhere. People would be mad, and disinterested.

I hope the game does well in China, but I can only imagine what a gamer must feel when they buy a game knowing they’re paying for a story that’s already in progress with a history they will never engage. I feel it as I wasn’t playing at all during the entirety of season one because of life.

Nah a story time machine is just a waste of money to them like i said… They provide content for the CURRENT players in hope of slowing down the lost of players, their mentality is “we will provide you with the next chapter of the book as long as you dont put it down” and its a dumbed down story for a reason, anyone can buy the game and catch up on the story on day 1, (which is why china’s getting synced into S2 because S1 wasnt that big of a story" scarlet is a bad guy… She raided LA….. LA is now what it is today… Theres now yet another dragon impending doom the end, they even have the clips of it at a NPC in LA. I dont see anet ever backtracking their storys thatd like reading a book with a class and ur absent on a day they read a chapter wwwweeelll the teacher wont ever go back an entire chapter just for you to catch up so u usually just misd out on that chapter… Same concept

Anet team members spent OVERTIME yes OVERTIME to finish season one as fast as they could, they spent THEIR free time to come in and finish the new content for us, it was not required… They didnt HAVE TO stay but they did anyway for the players. It was rushed so quickly that all killing scarlet gave was a stupid looking helmet skin because we couldn’t wait alil bit longer for them to finish it up correctly. Id rather them taking 2 months to produce high quality content than 2 weeks throwing together a disaster all because the few whiners who decide that their the head of the community demanding new content right on the spot:.. Anet PLEASE TAKE YOUR TIME as much time as u need!!! Never fall for that “its my content and i want it now” speech that almost every thread is spamming, did everyone know warhammer online had to stop production on 6 major cities the size of la because EA told mythic to release the unfinished game years early just to try to beat the new WoW expansion and that warhammer online was a buggy glitchy unfinished disaster of a game that no longer exists because it was rushes from the start and ea finally admitted that they failed and pulled the plug on the license agreement selling the warhammer franchise to Sega which will prob let any chances of a new warhammer mmo rot… I dont want anet to go through what mythic had to, thank god they’re with nc_soft instead of EA (properly nicknamed “The Franchise Killer”) by all means dont rush and give us a unfinished season 2.
