I won’t let my hopes up either. The devs do seem eager to tweak bunker eles and AOEs, which eles are loaded with, in the upcoming patches. I sense destruction when I think about this.

Tweak doesn’t mean kitten the kitten out of them.

Whenever my Asura draws his weapon, his ears go up, like I’m standing in an updraft. It’s kinda clever, but it also kinda annoying.

Is this the case for all Asura ear styles? I’m using the large “chewed edges” style.

It’s a shame you’re ignoring your storyline. :P

And yes, all ear styles move upwards during combat. The smaller ears don’t move as much as the larger ones though.

So I’m thinking I want to get back into this game but I’m so sick of greatsword usage, I mean this game has hammer so loosely used and I really want Anet to rework the hammer for Guardians. I took a look and the warriors and its really good for dps and the hammer for Guardians is just slow and awfull. why not shorten the 3rd bash down 3/4 from 1 1/4 to 1/2? I wish they looked at this part of the forum, they never do..

The devs aren’t ignorant of what people are writing in the forums. They just aren’t going to change things on the say-so of one person. :P Even if someone wrote eloquently on the topic, they aren’t just going to change things. If everyone was complaining about it, and the numbers ArenaNet sees confirm that it was an issue, then something like that would be changed.

Each profession is going to do different damage with the same weapon. One could argue that if you really want the hammer damage the warrior does, you should switch to warrior. But then you don’t get all the other benefits that the guardian gets.

have you EVER seen an asura warrior…i have one and she is funny as heck. Especialy with a Great sword and the thousand cuts skill…jumping and slashing all over the place….not to mention they are the ONLY race t swing a GS with one arm..then toss it over their shoulder to run off. I do look like a golem in my armor but its funny..most think she is male until i remove her helm…also Zojja is awesome xD

Hehe. All of the two-handed animations for all Asura professions are awesome. It is quite fun to switch back and forth between hammer and greatsword on my Asura guardian.

Compared to old school WoW, Guild Wars 2 has barely any grind at all. So far it feels like half my levels have come from accidentally stumbling into something at the last moment, like someone else’s skill point challenge: bamf, free skill point and here’s some xp too. Or being there as an escort mission completes. Or killing that last ooze.

GW2 practically throws levels at you.

If you’ve not experienced the frustration of going into a high level raid looking for one item, do that every night for two weeks, only to have some jackkitten need on it the one time it drops and they win… you don’t know what grind is.

If all you have to do is grind a bit for a legendary… :P

If you really think the person was abusing the game, you should report them, instead of posting here and speculating.

Not enjoying my Asura at all. I love the look of it, favourite of all of them but just not enjoying.

can it be the race quests, zone or is it the engineer profession. Anyone else find this

My first choice was Asura elementalist. Now all my characters are Asura.

I’ve liked everything so far, the animation, the sarcasm, the personal storylines…

It’s kitten awesome.

You’d think that would be a cool idea, but you’d never get your place back if you let the Inquest have what they want. You’d have to kill them all…

I’d say this is due to rivalries between krewes (or even individual krewe members) meaning that one krewe does not share their research with another, crippling the ability of the Asura to build on each other’s discoveries. Instead, we have a situation where Krewe A is not talking to Krewe B because the krewe leaders hate each other, even though the research conducted by Krewe B could lead to a breakthrough in Krewe A’s research (and maybe that’s the precise reason Krewe B is not sharing!)

And then the Inquest catch wind of the research, come in and kill both krewes and steal the research data for their own use.

And then a band of wandering adventurers heads to the Inquest lab as part of a Heart, slays all the Inquest, destroys all the equipment, and all the research is lost for another 10 years until another new krewe researches it all over again from scratch. :P

Perhaps the rivalries are what keeps the Asura occupied at the moment, but there had to be a time when the Inquest wasn’t as big a thorn. I mean, the Asuran gates went up, right, connecting capital cities and other places of interest.

And they let people travel through them essentially for free. The Asurans never exhorted money/goods/favors/the world from the other races in return for the gates, did they?

Maybe the other races are beneath them when it comes to Machiavelli machinations. :P

Brain power and magic. But they’re really not that far ahead overall, but are quite ahead in a few key places.

Surprisingly they haven’t capitalized on it much.

Eredon’s not got that low a population. But since it’s my home I wouldn’t complain.

My guess is that they give birth to live young. No nipples? Since there haven’t been any official images of the different races in the nude, we can’t assume any of the races have nipples.

I think they left the models as Ken and Barbie models, vague bumps in the right places.

Food for thought: Remember in Star Trek VI when Kirk kicks the large alien in the knees?

I don’t think it will let you use letters with umlauts or accents.

tbh I have seen quite a few events bug out in the last few weeks, the one the seems to always stick in my mind is the Separatives attacking the sunbmarine on Diessa Plateau (I think), the Maw has bugged out alot as well this past few days on Underworld.

I’ve only just started playing this game, but I’ve got a few Asura. I’d love to join.

My Asura elementalist said “Now I’m even MORE dangerous!” the last time I spent a skill point.

Only started played less than a week ago. Created an asura elementalist. She is a treat to watch in combat, always moving, spinning, jumping about. Then I created a guardian, watching her carry a giant hammer around is hilarious.

Not to mention the sense of humour they possess is awesome.

Hah, stood my wee elementalist next to my friend’s norn… the norn is three times her height. Hahahah!
