I figured out turrets were not doing what they were supposed to do and pointed this out months ago, 3 times if i am not mistaken… still waiting for fixes. Also the amount of bonus HP turrets get when traited seems to be off and is wasted anyway: I’ve seen a veteran pull off a whirling blade of 14000+ dmg on my rifle turret…

We loved it, in GW1…
The public appearance of Dhuum reaping the permanently banned player for whatever his crime was.

I like to see something like this come back in GW2 and I have some suggestions to that.
Some ideas might be overdone but hey, we got a great team behind this game and who knows what their godly designer fingers can pull out of the sleeves.

The ideas:
A smaller dragon swooping down with a fierce roar to draw atttention, incinerating the player.

Shadow Behemoth mini emerging from the ground to ‘eat’ the player.

Acolytes of the six gods performing a portal ritual.

In town, the local guards (lionguard for Lions arch, Wardens for the Grove etc) arrest and escort the player to the nearest portal/cell.

More ideas welcome ofcourse, we’ll see if this is an idea the devs like and what the possiblities are.

Its has been widely reported on the forums but since this topic is all about these kind of bugs: Radiant skins and Zephirite Helmet Skins have an issue with the glowing parts dissappearing in multiple cases, most notable any weapon or skill that alters the appearance of a character (Jugernaut, Spectral Walk, Stealth etc)

To me, you are comparing 2 different items and just hope them to have simular effects as they ‘appear to be in the same skin family’
This isn’t a bug, but something you would like to see implemented.
And there is your probable answer why nobody answered you, it is in the wrong forumsection.

Graphic bug with Stealth + Radiant Vambraces

May I suggest to MERGE this with the other Radiant Vambraces (and soon the shoulders and helmet) and Zephirite Helmet topics?

Since this is not an issue of stealth but an issue with the glow effects on the armors.

Other ways to get this bug is wearing/wielding/using the following:

Stealth
Necro Forms and spectral walk
Juggernaut and other heavy graphics altering weapons.

Again, please MERGE this topic and sum up all the ways to receive this glitch so the bugsquatters can adress this thing properly!

It is not just with the gloves, it is also with the zephyrite helmets. The gloving parts are removed. So It will most likely be the same for the radiant helmet and shoulders

Reopening a dead topic (I know)

After having 3 months of a trollface RNG at 4% less magic find than the possible maximum I can safely say that Magic Find is broken beyond comparison.

Instead of counting every white/blue/green etc drop, I made a percentage calculation on 100 inventory slots (full bags) worth of loot.
At roughly 25000 drops in 3 months doing Personal Story, Dungeons, Events, farming across the maps both high and low level, these are the statistics, rounded at 0.5%, not counting rares from daily boss chests or ANY chest for that matter:

Trophies, materials and salvageables:
17.5%
White:
9%
Blue:
40.5%
Green:
30.5%
Yellow:
1.5%
Orange:
less than 0.5%
Orange-named:
less than 0.5%

There has been NO NOTABLE difference between a character that was full DPS, Tank-Support, Conditionspecced, with or without Magic Find.
However it APPEARED that my tank-support guardian without 20% magic find was getting an average 1 rare extra per 300-400 drops than my engineer with the almost full Magic Find set.

Roughly 70-75% of the time I have played solely with Magic Find gear on including buffs from guild, banners etc. and a bonfire if present.
The amount of exotics I got in these past few months can be count on fingers and toes. It simply cannot be intended that some players get an exotic every hour and others are shocked if they ever find one.

That is what makes this even worse: some players get exotics like rain in hurricaneseason while others are praying for it in the Saharasun…

Either magic find is broken, RNG has faulty values in its code, or something even worse is at work here.

I love the game, having spent over 1700 hours since launch ingame, loving new content and everything already there… But the fun is slowly dying with all the rares and exotics I see others ping in mapchat, or worse, having a partymember snatching 10 rares in a single fractalrun + a lovely endchest while having to enjoy my few silvers I earned and yet again no exotic drops…

This is a mix of things I THINK will happen and stuff I’d like to see:

A glimpse of our Mysterious Deep Sea Dragon, an appearance, but not as ‘Chief Karka’ but as the reason why the karka became so fierce. Driven from their underwater territory, now settling on the cove.

The Ancient Karka boss at the end of the introduction event of Southsun Cove. Remember the little lavapit that monstrosity fell into? Primordus just donated the Great Destroyer’s Heart of his late captain minion. We got a huge lava surimi salade on the loose!

Karka themed armor, new consortium items in gemstore
speaking of gemstore: New items
Carbuncle Logging Axe
A new Karka Backpack

I expect more jewels like the azurite orb and more recipes, overall more Tier 6+ materials.

I hope more fractals. In all the time we could enjoy a few fractals and 1 fractal boss (jade maw)
I hope at least a double amount of this. Also a random fractal boss, Jade Maw is awesome but even at level 40+ you can do this blindfolded at some point.
Fractal flavors: Karka’s, Airship or Naval combat (like storyline), Ring of Fire / Domain of Anguish / Elonian Desert / Desolation themes. (Wurmriding and Titan’s FTW)

There is bound to be an appearance of a certain eye of the north necromancer with a certain staff of a certain vizier some day.

Exotic Aquabreathers and recipes to craft them

More love and impetus to underwater combat

Giant slayer title worked on or amount of Giants in the game.

More dungeons reworked

He is rather easy…back in the day i soloed this guy with guardian, engineer, warrior, elementalist. soo….
At least quadrupel it’s HP and make his invulnerability buff last 5 more seconds to when he actually starts attacking

I do agree with kirbyprime that the wording Unique does’nt stand out enough…make it a distinct flashy color we can’t ignore or put it in CAPS with explamation marks…

Sylvari Racial and Elite Skills

First of all… engineers don’t suck Zeivu…

And I find that all the racial elites are mediocre in comparison to the profession specific elites unless you make a build around it or make a use for it. And I think that is for a reason, intented. Some elites are more of a panic button rather than icing on the cake during combat.

Elites truly define the profession, or the race… But step away from the idea that an Elite makes your build like it did in GW1. In GW2 your traits and weapon of choice make the build.

Swiftness duration stacking

To test this properly, you should look into crossprofession swiftness stacking:
Warrior warhorn and ranger warhorn
Warrior signet of rage with guardian staff
Mesmer focus and guardian Shout
etc.
And even runes and sigils that provide chances to swiftness

I’ve seen this bug so many times that I am not sure anymore what is intented not to stack and what is…if that even is the case…

I am very sorry for your loss…

I am sure you used the preview button but accidently clicked on destroy which is right under it. In your adrenaline rush that you got the precursor you misread the warning about destroying your item.

Reading all the posts, looking at your weak evidence, I come to the conclusion that this is most likely what happened, whether you know it or like it or not.

Be glad you got a precursor in the first place, most of us haven’t found one yet. 200 gold is a lot of money to most, but only with the factors time and effort. It is perfectly doable to get 200 gold in a 2 weeks time while still going to work or school. Unfortunately you either have to be lucky, or take your time and patience to get it.

It is only the scepter, I would cry if it was either of the bows or rifle…

I believe ‘Unique’ is a worldwide accepted term that the item in question being called that is in fact, a one of a kind, not possible to aquire once more item, of which there is only one in existence…

First known occurence: 9th January

Known facts:
Newly created guilds suffer from this issue as well.
It doesn’t matter if you have 5 or 500 members in a guild.
It doesn’t matter how many guild you or the invitee is in.
It doesn’t matter if you have any build queue active.
It doesn’t matter to what stage your guild is upgraded.

You simply can’t invite new members to your guild even if you have room for them.

The errorcode behind this issue is this:

Me and friends have tested this in every way we could think of. Existing large guilds, made new guilds etc, bought upgrades if possible.

It looks like this issue is serverwide or even gamewide and it doesn’t matter if you have 5 or 500 members in your guild.

Just on a sidenote: I have not used this set, but i’ve seen nobody mentioning having full givers gear: Weapons, 6 armorslots, all trinkets. Only parts of this set.
So who did? And with what conditions from what skills?

I ask because this might be a 2-way bug looked at from the wrong direction.
Is it the set that is bugged? Or are there specific skills or conditions that do not proc with this while other skills do?

In short: Is the set bugged? the math inaccurate? or are these issues specific to only a certain condition or skills?

If you are wondering why Anet does not respond, it may very well be because these reports lack details which they have to figure out first. Also I can think of some more pressing bugs in the game which they are likely to fix sooner that this.

Hodgins (Ascalonian Catacombs)

He bugged 3 times for my party prior to the last patch (but after the patch before that)…
It, however, occurs so rarely for me I didn’t think about reporting it, since nothing conclusive was there to report except for the fact that he bugged on 3 different occasions:
Path 1: Right after you kill the oozes before entering the room that triggers the scepter collecting event: Hodgins dialog won’t trigger and thus the event won’t start.
Path 1: Hodgins dialog doesn’t trigger after you defeated the boss and you will not receive your reward.
Path 1: Hodgins frozen in place after the burrow event, not opening the secret room. (this does not prevent completion of the dungeon)

Shadow Behemoth doesn't always spawn [Merged]

Far Shiverpeaks Server:
2 players confirmed seeing the shadow behemoth last night (UK hours) twice, but couldn’t target him nor the portals. I myself have been camping around for half the day now and it just won’t trigger. On a sidenote: The Rotten Oakheart Event at Greatheart Weald hasn’t spawned during this period as well.

What exactly triggers the Shadowbehemoth event chain other than just waiting 150 minutes (as stated on wiki) for it to happen? Do we need more players in the area? Finish ‘named’ event that prevent it from happening? Is it only happening during daytime/nighttime? Do we have to meet a certain unmentioned killcount on Aatxes?

If we knew, that way the players can send better feedback about what the issue is on their specific server. I’m sure this info will receive many cheers from both parties.

Engineers Are Over Powered, Dec 3 Update

Seriously these topics need an official word, there are so many different topics about these issues now. (or a serious fix/tweak in the next update)
I have so many different builds I want to use with my engineer, but all feature at least one thing being reportedly bugged or something that has a bugged feel to it.

Can you also notify the skill and/or trait/sigil you are using to apply to freeze?
This may have to do with the above rather than with the runes you are using.

Can’t remember having this many spawns on lvl10 today, but we did at level 20, we just liked the challenge and found a way to deal with it.
Also de AoE Blast skill of this boss has a seemingly unnatural low cooldown.

Engineers Are Over Powered, Dec 3 Update

There are times I think Engineer is OP (especially with the bugged knights set), but then I get myself into a completely diferent situation and basicly you are done for.
Engineer above all other proffs, is a versatile class.
I’m not going to lift or flame on any build, cause I like and dislike all of them. It is very situational.

There are however a few things that need constructive attention immediately:

We have the various issues with Turrets…range bugs, toolbelt bugs etc….I believe they get a fix in time…

But now this:

Equip a level 1 common rifle: Any Damage Kit does fixed damage
Equip a level 80 exotic rifle: Any Dmage Kit does THE SAME fixed damage.
Bonusses on those weapons: Stats and Sigils alike, are LOST.

In short: No matter what build you run, a full kit engineer with a weaponset wasted money the second he said yes to soulbinding.

This has been bothering me for ages and hasn’t been fixed/altered/explained to me for as far as my forumsearch can give me leads.
The thing is: In particular Healing power, Toughness and Vitality, grant bonusses via traits. And those 3 stats are also my key stats in the supportbuilds I use (engineer can be extremely fun support)
I want those extra points in Healing Power etc, on my weaponset, just like a guardian or elementalist or whatever class. That Healing Power is all gone when I equip my Elixir Gun…And so are the 10% bonus to power from Healing power…Toughness, same thing, 5%. Vitality, same thing, 5%.

What this creates is a few favorable builds, halfeffective builds traitwise, and a lot less supportive engineers I’m sure, because that final push in stats a weaponset can give you is much much needed in later stages of the game and even wvw.

And again a short for you:
Engineer CAN be OP, but it is VERY situational, since you need 1 utilityslot for your weapon (mostly.) I like it, just not the missing stats on kit equips.

Please explain this to us engineers, if this is intented game mechanics and why, or if this is an anomaly you overlooked and needs a fix.

I don’t have any problem with rares begin rare (guesss what, for me, they are, 3 rares a day tops farming my ears out in cursed shore)
The problem I DO have is the fact that people over here are crying about having spent 250g on forge to get a precursor. Guess what: I haven’t maxed all crafting yet, and the only costly spending I ever did was buying a Tier 2 Cultural Armor and the 5g Guild Backpack.
I’m am running 2 armorsets, one being a full magicfind set.

For the record: I haven’t crossed the 50g after these spendings I might have had a total of 80g since launch. So stop the crying that you couldn’t get a precursor or legendary after spending 250g. A majority ‘is so unlucky’ that they don’t even have the means by far to try and use the forge that way!

Spending 250g and not getting anything from the forge isn’t unlucky…it is dumb…You take a risk, and may not be rewarded. Most likely if you have the means to earn that kind of money you should stick to earning more…By the time I have 250g, you have 2500g and can afford 8 legendaries with the current market…congrats…

You are not entitled, you do not own the game, all you have is the right to play it. Some earn big, others don’t, for whatever reason I do not care because it doesn’t kill the game. The gamecode is the same for everyone. The only thing that might kill my enjoyment in this game is if people keep complaining about all these minor things…
Go report a blocking issue or exploit or something…THAT is worth complaining about.

Multiple heart and event quest bugs across many zones

Cacifire’s post brings about all the bugged out I encountered yesterday. This isn’t an attention cry.

As for the holistic state of the game part Schmoopies:
The reason in my opinion it worked for some people is because they rushed the content, did not bother triggering any chains along the way, and thus didn’t find anything out of order.

By far the most events and renown hearts are bugged because some chain event nearby triggered somethings that prevents completion of the other or even itself.
At least that is how it looks to me.

So it LOOKS like it is not just one area littered with bugs, just more events with the same error in the code writing in the same area of the map.
