You can strafe many projectiles and you can dodge them, but dodge 6 simultaneous shatters is nearly impossible. Many times even if you dodge they change their path and chase you.
If they shatter the copies far from you they can be slow, but at mid range they’re not.

When a Mesmer casts a Shatter skill, all existing Illusions (i.e. the Illusions being Shattered) stop counting towards the Illusion limit. This allows the Mesmer to conjure new Illusions without replacing any of the Shattering Illusions.

Exactly. What I want to know if this behaviour is intended or not. Perhaps new clones must be in cd until old ones explode. 6 copies chasing you it’s dumb.

As I can see mesmers have a limit of 3 copies at the same time, but they are able to shatter up to 6. Why the 3 copies limit is not applied?

Engi patch notes are really sad. Flamethrower still bugged, rifle 3 and 5 buggy. Toolbelt recharging time still bugged. No sigils on kits, elixirs nerfed, smoke bomb nerfed. Some underwater fixes (who cares about underwater combat).

Hah, I was one of them. In our defense I have to say that we were testing other professions and builds. I’m playing with the ele since two days a go, so you can imagine that I’m not so skilled. Same for the necro and one of the guardians. We passed the first map smashing buttons.
Is just that we find much better to test things in 5v5 than in 8v8.

I’m afraid better players left or they’re playing paid torunaments.

For me is a game breaking feature. The reason are “macros”. Before anybody tell me that macros are not allowed, take a look at GW2 official mouse.

As you can see, you can make mouse macros.

The ability to land 4 or 5 skills in less than 1’5 sec without interrupting each other, give too much advantage to users with gaming mouses and keyboards. Perhaps I’m so unskilled, but I find difficult to land 3 necro areas in less than 950ms, but with a macro I have just to click a button.

My suggestion for the Moa. Change it by “Friends and Foes Trick”.
Your friends become enemies and you arent able to attack the enemy team for 6 secs.
Much more fun and a great counter to brainless button spammers. I would like to see a tricked thief heartseeking his own team haha.

It’s a 2,5 sec mouse macro to do between 6-12K + 9 stacks of confusion.

That’s funny too. Every pet seem stupid but mesmer phantasms are deadly. And If I shatter them, they chase my enemy. Even if he dodges, they change their path and hit most of the times. But it’s even better when I have three clones, I shatter them and before they hit I can summon three more and shatter them too.
6 suicide clones at the same time applying damage and confusion.

Even reducing other profession bugs, mesmers are over the top in pvp, and half of their attacks are controlled by A.I. When I play my mesmer I can control much more the environment cause my pets are doing the job.

Caltrops Thief is blatantly broken. They can stack bleeds on you too fast. While Anet fix them (if they fix it, but i doubt it), the only thing you can do is trying to go out of the caltrops. Hit him is very difficult cause he will be evanding the 99% of the time.

Mmm? Did I miss something? I wasnt answering you. I was answering Dual.8953. about the Ele’s downed state.
And well, perhaps in some situations you can be able to stop a revive for 1 sec, but most of the time is much better to force your enemies to chase you. And you can still miss it cause somebody can blind you.

My complaint is not much about the utility, it’s because some professions have downed abilities that can’t never ever fail and others not.

I find it hilarious how quickly someone complained about Ele’s Downed state. Anyways, I don’t think there should be any be all and end all method to finishing enemies off. Downed skills that negate Stab/Stealth/Invul stomps shake things up nicely imo.

You’re reading just what you want. And if you ask me, I’m happy with the Ele’s downed state change, cause before it was a joke.

About the topic, I dont understand why for example necro fear can be blinded and mesmer teleport not. And I’m not talking about 1vs1, no matter how many teammates are playing with you, if you want to stomp a mesmer you have to wait until he blinks. And I know it’s easy and he has a red triangle over his head, but you lose time trying to do it.

Right now it’s impossible to quick stomp thieves, eles and mesmers cause their 2 skill is immune to blind and ignores stability.

So weakest downed states are in this order:
Engi. Most stupid 2 skill, attracting enemy to you, and helping him to stomp you.
Necro*: Sad sad blindable fear…
Ranger: Weird lightning snare. (At least pet can stop your enemy one more time).
Warrior: Same kitten anti-stomp. If you’re able to wake up you can do some damage or revive an ally.
Guardian: At least is an area anti-stomp.

All of them are or negated by stability or miss when blinded. So using a well placed skill you can guarantee the stomp. But once again Anet is rewarding A.I, and unavoidable mechannics instead of good timing.

I begging for more human control.
I want my healing skill on full CD if my enemy pushes me while I’m casting it. I want to suffer 150% of my damage if he reflects my projectiles. I want to get stomped if he blinds me in the exact moment. I want to be punished by using skills in the wrong moment.

Action-Reaction PVP is fun. Automatic and unavoidable skills are cheap and unfun. (That’s why a lot of people complain about thiefs spam, mesmers shatters and phantasms, quickness, retaliation etc)

Stealth exploiting is becoming ridiculous. Stealth attack, stealth again, insta cross the map with bow. If you dont want to see it, just keep lying yourselves.

Even stacking more than 2.8K toughness I still receive 9-10K backstabs (Without vulnerability stacks on me).
So, is there any other stat that I can stack to improve the damage mitigation?

Most broken OP combo is quicknes+lag spikes. How can you dodge, stun break or anything else in the middle of a lag spike?

Everything freezes and one second after, the action comes back with you downed. It’s pointless to do such a quick game with all this lag. And is not just me, the support forum is plenty of people complaining about lag spikes.
Please do something!

AI attacks must be freezed when his owner is downed. It’s very unfair that some players lose the 90% of their damage while downed and others (usually with better downed tools) not.

Avoiding profession considerations. What I want to know is if all that map “shortcuts” are known by Anet and if they think is legit to use them.
As far as I know competitive maps tend to be symmetrical, and designers just try to hide that fact in order to make the map more fancy.

I still remember Counter Strike, when players started with “bunny jump” (very large jumps). Every player was able to do it, but game designers thought that it was an exploit.
So here is the question, I know I can roll one of that classes and do it, but does it help to game experience?
Do I have to learn and use this “tricks” if I want to be competitive?

In battle of Kyhlo the elementalist can jump directly on the trebu from one of the roofs. If it’s intended I find really stupid that the best tank with the best mobility and the best aoe damage is able to do it.
Paid tournaments will become the exploit fest.

Easy fix:
- You cant cross a portal with a repair kit.
-When you cross a portal it stacks on you 25 stacks of vulnerability and 25 confussion stacks for 10 seconds.
That will prevent to put portals directly on nodes.

This week I started to see a thief build that is becoming more and more usual. They just jump around you throwing caltrops and stacking in less than 4s 15 stacks of bleeding. When you remove them he simply applies them again.

Rangers can do it too with the nature spirit. Engi has to sacrifice an ability slot. That’s a lot cause a weapon kit are 6 abilities, and engi can’t switch weapons.

Engineers, can be effective, but one error and they’re dead. Tank elementalists are a nightmare to kill, thieves are not op in my opinion (there are many counters). The main problem, some 1 or 2 button skills that are much more effective than a complex combination, so why bother. Most powerfull skills may have huge drawbacks, if you fail using them, the punishment must be bigger than a simple CD.

Perhaps less pets but stronger and with manual control, or a negative vigor condition. I dont find fair to fight against an opponent who has the same dodges than me while his brainless pets are doing the job. And it’s frustrating too when your pets start doing nonesense and you’re unable to control them.
And lag spikes… A.I pets dont seem to be affected by it, but if I’m unable to pop up some skill, it can be the difference between dying or not.

So maybe it’s too late to change “Digimon Wars”, but a slight mechanics change can make the difference.

Please, make a real pvp mode without pets, I dont see the point of this pv(e)p where half of the skills are controlled by the I.A.
I understand that some people will like it but dont call it pvp, cause is not.

When I try to do a combo with a bomb smoke field, or bomb fire field, the combo only executes after the bomb explosion. It was like this before the october patch?

I find really difficult to trigger combos with bombs when there is a little lag. I’m pretty sure before patch you didnt need to wait for the bomb explosion to execute the combo.

Am I wrong or they changed it?

Thanks for the tips, the problem is that Anet removed the only trait that provided stability to the engi, so perhaps the fastest solution is to use more guardians on our team.
