I just want to remind you that you’re angry at a few lines of code.
If you don’t like it, don’t get it. If you do like it, work for it. You have to remember that there are people in the game that do enjoy the challenge of the Fractals, and do deserve better gear for their progress. The game wasn’t just made for you. If you play a part of any game for a long time you expect a reward, and the ascended gear is that….
The game was allegedly made for people who have no interest in the gear treadmill, so yeah it kinda was.
Any chance of an ETA on fixing this issue?
Well it don’t be until next week as they are all out of the office until Monday for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
If they did that then there would never be any chance a new player could play teh dungeon in a month.
You have to complete a series of 3 in a row to gain a level.
You will not have automated LFG system developer already said once that. They are working on improving current tool.
Stop asking for autamated-cross server systems
There are a handful of things they said would never happen but are starting to appear in game, so I wouldn’t be too sure.
The dungeon seems very good and enjoyable with a group you know. I wouldn’t suggest PuGing since you’re going to come up with people that have no idea what they are doing. I’m sure there are exceptions but don’t count on them, try to find a core party you can challenge the place with.
I have done 5 fractals, 4 story mode dungeons, and a small handful of explore mode dungeons. All have been PUGs and all have been decent to very good experiences.
I didn’t deny for something like that to be possible, it’s just that you shouldn’t really expect this to be the case. Seemingly the original poster has had very bad experiences with PuG in this dungeon, he just needs to realize that things can and probably will work out less favourably in high end dungeon like this.
I didn’t intend to disagree or argue with you.
I have heard a lot of people complaining about PUGs but my limited experience has been the complete opposite. Of course that could change on the next PUG (or 10) that I join, especially since i have never joined one that has required certain class/level/gear.
Agreed as a person that seems to DC more than usual on the fractals

Had the same happen to me just now. Final boss of the third fractal, and I got huge 10-second lag spikes before disconnecting. Wasted two hours of time and felt bad for my party. I REALLY hope Anet fixes this issue soon. Until then, I might avoid FotM to prevent further frustration. Sucks that it’s a monthly achievement though, so I might be forced to play it before the month ends just to grab it. Anet, please have the option to rejoin party and prevent counter resets.
Same for me. I feel bad for DCing and I want to avoid fractals until they are more stable, but I need 2 more so I will probably give a another try or two.
I have ben DCing a ridculous number of times as well. The worst part is I have real trouble getting back into the game.
Maybe you were on different layers of overflow?
90 minutes is closer to what I have experienced and heard from others.
I have completed a total of 5 fractals, all with PUGs. The only times I have been in a group that failed it was because of crashes or bugs. The first time I went in we finished the entire series of 3; we started a second run and I crashed as the 2nd level loaded. I eventually was able to get the game started again but obviously couldn’t get back in. The group disbanded shortly after that.
What’s fascinating to me is that black lion chests would easily – easily! – be worth cracking if I could sell everything that came out of them on the trading post. The fact that everything is soulbound and account bound is the major limiter on their value, since there are so many dead drops as a result.
Given the number of excess black lion chests out there, that would mean that allowing players to trade their BLC drops is quite literally a million dollar idea.
Definitely a good idea if all you want is to make BLC’s more attractive. However, ANet would effectively be forced to remove a lot of the Black Lion chest drops (boosters, * access express, repair canisters, etc) from the Gem Store because due to the sheer volume of BLC’s out there, the equilibrium prices of these items would be much much lower than their gold equivalent price on the Gem store right now.
From a business perspective I can see why they would want to avoid that situation, as boosters and other tools probably account for quite a bit of their Gem Store revenue.
How much do you think they may gain in key sales? I personally will never buy a key for cash/gold/gems/RL$ after hearing about the ridiculous drop rates.
Most of my screen work, but I haven’t been able to sell anything on the Trading Post for a few days now, my screen is just blank,
Just finished got about 680 MB total
And hung up at 99% and 3 files left.
I just tried this for the first time, actually first two times, and it didn’t work either time. I will probably try again tonight and if that doesn’t work just wait for the next update.
