You guys are totally right about GW2 not being GW1:
It’s a typical MMO in the GW1 universe.
Yay.
I played GW1 because it was different from other games not because it was so similar to other games.
Never played but I really like the idea, the only problem with it was so many were useless. I think a modified version should have been placed in this game
So many are useless in GW2 I don’t see the point…
To OP, yes. That was what kept me playint GW1 for so long. If I could take the movement system of GW2 and put it in GW1 I would be in heaven.
I also miss the elite skills from GW1. They felt ELITE. (Hundred Blades? There was no ‘common’ skill that did anything like that) In GW2 all my elite skills feel meh. :/
The dungeons in GW2 are so boring.
Whatever happened to the missions in GW1?
Oh, that’s right, GW2 is an ‘mmo’, so it must by definition have boring dungeons where you attack one mob for 5 minutes.
If I wanted this crap I would play other MMOs.

Tengu Ritualist please!
And more weapons… many, many more weapons.
I prefer the general feel of movement/combat in GW2 over GW1. However, I generally feel like the skill system and the leveling systems in GW1 are far superior to GW2.
I enjoyed the missions of GW1 much more than I enjoy the dungeons in GW2. I hardly consider attacking one boss for five minutes entertaining. The ‘MMO-ness’ that has seeped into GW2 is bearable to me just because there are a lot of other features in the game that keep me playing; the good outweighs the bad.
I like to stick to the open world since it feels more like the missions in GW1 really.
I generally don’t get into MMOs too much. I was playing Path of Exile while waiting for GW2 though.
Pat on the back to the ANet level designers; not only do they make beautiful maps, but they also position harvesting nodes/vistas/poi near areas that they want people to be drawn to.
It shows a great deal of planning and attention to detail for whomever helped create the world.
I’ve been running power/+healing Well support builds in PvE dungeons that are very similar to your WvW build. I’ve had so much success in groups that I’ve started running it in solo PvE as well. It works great, and I’ve even had group members thank me for joining the group.
I wish I could use my underwater DS skills on land. O.O
They seem to flow better with each other.
Yes, please! I kinda wish DS would just replace your weapon bar instead of coming up as a ‘downed’ type mechanic.
I use a power/+healing Well build to do dungeons with groups (dagger/DS build solo). I’ve even had people thank me for joining the group after the run was over.
^-^
I have 5 gold at level 53 and I haven’t used the trading post once…
Try out the dungeons if you are looking for challenge.
If you are tired of zergs, roll on a less populated server.
Don’t click the link AT ALL. Clicking the link gives the location in question permission to access your account.
Have you ever bought gold using the e-mail/account name you use for GW2? I haven’t gotten a single thing in the mail from someone I didn’t know…
I just love how my Asura sounds like Al Gore.
Excelsior!
I also think the elite skills are lackluster. In GW1 an elite skill felt ELITE. Not so much in GW2.
->Kravik: Are you in PvE or PvP? What level are you? I find that my support Well build works wonders in parties. When I’m not in a group I either run minions or a DS/Dagger build and its really fun. I haven’t touched condition builds since I was level 20.
