I support the transfer of free servers to LOWER POP SERVERS. Not low to high. I hate to use the example, but WoW transferred high to low for free. Wanted to move to a higher pop server, pay money.

To be honest to all those saying SBI doesn’t have a chance, or that they will never come in first. WE DO NOT WANT FIRST PLACE. Not right now. Not till the server transfers are closed. We don’t to end up with the long kitten queues from the bandwagoners. If we never get first, we won’t have the bandwagoners. And besides, it’s been really close lately. And we like where we are. Also, most of the server is too busy with the halloween events. There isn’t a queue for us.

I’m not taking a screenshot. I’ve reported SEVERAL times. It has been bugged for MANY WEEKS. I think it has been bugged for about a month now. The skill point does not work, and is a blocking issue. If it isn’t bugged and someone else can figure it, then tell us. ’Cause I know MANY people who claim it is bugged as well.

ACTUALLY, as far as I saw, he was using a bow when I died. But that was when I was downed. I couldn’t even get my number 2 skill off when I was downed, which is fear.

Thief killed me in less than 4 seconds. Had 26k hp. Imbolized, poisoned and bled me, all while being stealthed. I couldn’t even get one spell off. That is OPed.

The move for events still is less than 2 silver. Then the waypoint cost 3. Loss of money.

I’ve came to the conclusion that the prices for waypoint movement SKYROCKETS after a certain level. Considering it cost me 2-3 silver across the map is absurd. When I used to have 3 gold in the beginning it was costing me less than a silver. So it is making it impossible to make gold in the game.

I purpose to Arena Net, that you stop all free transfers between competing servers until said competition is over.
Er, how about only allow free transfers to lower pop servers. You can’t transfer for a week from the transfer time and you can’t participate in the current WvW competition.

This won’t work. If you want population balance there is only ONE way to do that.
Stop free world transfers to higher population servers. Make those cost gems. You want to even out the population, people will realize, “Oh, I can’t transfer without paying money, I’ll go somewhere with no queue.”
That is what should have happened, but Anet kittened that up.

You can’t go afk, to whoever said that. The game will kick you out after 15 minutes.

I think 4 servers on one map would be amazing. Perhaps the top 4 servers duke it out on one epic map, and the rest are 3 team matchups.

I’m a condition build necro. And trust me, before I can even cast any of my skills, expect for the number one skill, but even then, only two hits. I’m dead.

Here is the thing though, me, playing a necro, once your high damage outputs our down, before I could even hit my healing skill, I’m dead. That shouldn’t happen. Not at all. It shouldn’t be, before I even get a chance to heal, when I got the drop on him, that I’m dead. So I have to start my healing casting time BEFORE he even attacks?

Way to be a part of the bandwagon. It is SOOO Much easier to just change servers and get your achievements. So stupid. Honestly, Anet should have made it so transfering to high pops is not possible

That’s not my issues. MY issue is that they are able to 2v1 people and do a total over 40k + in 4 seconds. That is a DPS of 10k. That is absurd. Yeah, some other characters do high damage. But it is usually burst damage. That is what the thief is supposed to specialize in. Burts high damage. Not CONSTANT high damage.

Thieves are the most OP class in the game BY FAR. There is no way around it.
Tell me, I spotted a thief, before he even made a move to attack me, I put two hits on him. Within less than 2 seconds, I was downed. I went from 22k + Hp to 0 HP in less than 2 seconds. Not to mention, I didn’t see him at ALL during those two seconds. That stealth bullkitten needs to be nerfed. I’m sorry, but once they attack, they shouldn’t be able to go back into stealth for a while.
Here is another, Somehow I went from that 22k+ HP to 1k in less than 3 seconds, he was stealthed, hit me MULTIPLE TIMES with even my AoEs hitting him so he didn’t come out of stealth. But then he also but MANY conditions on me. That’s bullkitten if they are able to do HIGH damage output and Condition damage at the same time. I’ve been saying it Since BWE 1, Thieves are OPed.
I also don’t think they should be able to be in stealth mode when “finishing” a player. How is a downed character supposed to use any of their ablities while downed if they can’t target the thief because he is stealthed? You can’t, therefore again, OPed.

I went from level 54 to level 72 in a week of just doing WvW. I went from 25 to 49 of just doing WvW. I gain 3 levels today of just WvW.
It is worth it. If you are getting stomped fast, that means you need think more tactically.

Great Idea. I’m in full support of this. Perhaps the idea of taking a keep/tower/camp, the camp is now NPC or neutral owned. No way of either team taking it.

I vote for a 3 day WvW. Two matches a week. On the 7th day, no WvW. This gives the 7th day, for servers to reorganize and get money back up to purchase more siege and do repairs.
I also think, just because it has ended up this way, they need to make the top 4 servers ALL duke it out. instead of 3 way, make it a foursome people the top 4. Yes, new maps would have to be created and some content added. But it would make it more fair, because currently, it is NOT fair

I can not disagree more. You obviously haven’t attacked a well defended, and upgraded keep before, have you?
You forgot to mention which server you were on, which would help quite a bit as well. On SBI, we were defending Stonemist for over 3 hours. They were inside the castle. There’s been constant battles I’ve seen that last over 8 hours just to take hold of a choke point. Play against more organization.

Honestly, ET is one of the larger servers. There are 4 servers, HoD, SBI, JQQ (see what I did thar), and ET. ET and JQQ will switch back and forth all the time in fighting HoD and SBI.

I love hearing JQ players complain about a que. Here on henge I have been in que every night since friday 6pm-10pm pacific with out a pop. Today is tuesday. I predict HoD will fall to ET due to less than 10% of TA ever getting on the map at the same time. No offense to the millitia but the ques are going to take HoD down.
I have a feeling ET is going to get smashed next week. They are essentially a whole week behind the meta game and strat/tactics since they are farming their current match-up. It’s obvious how much better HoD’s “millitia” has gotten and SBI as well just this week. ET is going to be playing a match they are unprepared for.

I think it is funny that JQ says they are superior. This is solid fact today. When SBI took Stonemist. We have had it held for 3+ hours now at the time of this post. We had all of Henge, and all of JQ coming in, from two sides. We held off both servers. Sure, it was prettykittenhectic, but we still held off two servers. Want to say you have better PvP now JQ? This proves it wrong.
Anyway, the simple fact is there is NO ALLIANCE between the servers. Perhaps between the guilds on the servers. Such as a guild on JQ being allied with a guild on HoD. Which has been proven I believe, in the past. That is possible. But not an Entire server. And when it truly comes down do it, it will always be a 3 way battle. Even the alliances will break just so someone can gain the upper hand.
I do have mad respect for HoD. Tough fighters. JQ, I really wish they would stop QQing.
Also we need to get this thread closed due to massive butthurt.

I make a pretty hefty profit as well in WvW. If you are having money issues, than it is a money problem on your end. Learn to handle your finances. Granted I usually only end up with about 4-5 silver at the end of day, but That is still TECHNICALLY a profit.

I think you should only get rewards for it if you ACTUALLY protect it from attacks. But I do know the server we played against once was so upset that we were sniping their dolyaks that they started doing 3-5 man escorts for all of them.

I’ll say this once more:
JQ relentlessly attacks SBI umberglade camps and bravost/durios without leaving defenses in their northwest side.
HoD sees this opportunity to attack Anzalias/Mendons and proceeds to do so. While their towers are being attacked, JQ REFUSES to back out of SBI territory to defend their own, so after quelling the JQ invasion, SBI now sees an opportunity to attack while they defend Anzalia’s. SO WE PUSH.
On the flipside, when we attack Ogrewatch with a large force, more often than not our southern towers will get sieged by HoD. However, we (oftentimes) have the sense to leave scouts and defenders. If the force is large enough, SBI FORCES ACTUALLY PULL OUT AND MOUNT A PROPER DEFENSE. HoD forces see taking QL just won’t happen, and back out.
HoD are great opportunists. Show them you won’t make their siege easy, and they’ll back out.
JQ has crap tactics and doesn’t know how to properly defend or attack. They make themselves a target by being bad defenders.
Kinda this, i’m on HoD EB mostly and from what i can tell this is what’s happening. By the time we push into overlook they realize what we’ve taken in their territory and they pull back. We try to hold out untill the timer ticks the next round of PP, then let JQ have the towers.
On the other hand SBI doesn’t really make a large push at all in any of our lands, except maybe golanta every so often. Very strange.
We have tried making pushes, but honestly we are trying to dig in right now. We might make small attempts at supply camps or towers to show we are actually still alive, but we are trying to gather our resources.
What HoD is doing is smart. Taking camps RIGHT BEFORE the timer tick ends. Get more points. Very smart. sneaky, but smart.
JQ, you guys are just easy prey. More than once, especially in the open field, we destroy you in PvP combat. Not numbers wise either. Honestly, SBI is still disorganized, and I will admit that. Not enough people dedicated the WvW yet, and it bothers me.

Now hold on, why should the server who has a night crew get punished. It isn’t their fault. Not their’s at all that they have people on at all hours and your server doesn’t. If you are worried about that, then move to a server that has a night crew. Because people like me, for instance, only get on at night and the evening. To me, that would be punishing me because I work a job that doesn’t allow me to get on during the day. I would quit playing if they restricted that. I bought this game for WvW. Besides, a very well organized group of 5-10 can take/defend anything.

If your server is worried about why all their stuff is gone over night, well, start recruiting night players. Not the other’s fault.

SBI Player here. If there is an Alliance, than can the Henge players in Stonemist stop shelling our keeps/towers with Trebs?
There is absolutely no alliance. None. Sure, it may seem like they are ganging up on JQ, but nothing was ever played. I know the reason while I was playing, that we attacked JQ, was because it was easier fighting you guys than it was Henge. Henge steamrolled us everytime we took something. I remember trying to do an attack on Stonemist earlier in the night, Henge was not merciful. In fact, they toyed with us for HOURS after that attack.
This is actually a very close match. JQ is just a server without any organization. As far as I know, they do not have clear leaders and are just a zerg. HoD on the other hand is smart. I really hope SBI beats them down the line. Sadly, most of server/guilds are not using the TS server we have set-up.

Players SHOULDN’T have access to supply if they do not own a supply camp. That makes perfect sense. Obviously there is a main way out of your spawn. Then there is a back way DIRECTLY TO A SUPPLY CAMP! So complaining about being funneled, well that is your fault. Also, there is a point where you can be away from your spawn, but invulnerable. You can’t die.
Besides, if you are INVADERS it shouldn’t be easy for you or fair when you are “invading” another server’s borderlands.

I’m laughing at some of these replies. It isn’t our fault, aka SBI and Henge, that you guys have no communication. We can tell. I ran Eternal Battlegrounds from over 4 hours and I could tell, it was just a zerg rush. That is all you guys were. But you are a very BIG zerg rush so you guys end up being ranked higher. Just how the cookie crumbles.

It is neither meant for either. The entire game was built around both casual and hardcore players. If you are casual, sure, jump into WvW. Have fun for a couple hours, you can do that. You can make it hardcore, where you farm the jumping puzzles daily to get siege for bigger battles. But you don’t have to. That is the beauty of this game. Everything in this game has content for both Casual and Hardcore gamers. I’m in between myself. I find myself having a blast on WvW just playing for a couple hours. Sure, some people have invested a TON of time and effort into WvW. That is fine too.

The biggest thing I found, and I mean this was a wonderful little tid bit of knowledge:
COMBOS
Combo fields are the single most helpful thing in the game. Know them, learn to use them, know your party’s powers. Those things can either dish out of TON of damage, or HEAL.
Learn them well.
