During reset last night was SO much fun on the SoR BL. SoR, we just could NOT understand how you folks kept up holding Garrison. We just could not believe it. TC, you guys had your side of the map on lockdown. You could not even attempt to take anything due to your quick response. I have nothing but respect for SoR and TC. If all fights in T2 are like this, I want to stay in T2.

In one week though you can make over 20 gold. That isn’t hard at all. I made 35 gold in one week. Granted I did all PvE. But I am doing PvE right now to fund for my WvW. Once I reach 300, which won’t be hard, I’ll get into full swing PvE. Especially since I’ll have commander.

Collision detection wouldn’t work and would ruin the game AND WvW. We all know how the culling is in the game. How would like to running in WvW, and then randomly be stopped by nothing. Only to find out 30 seconds later it is a massive zerg? That would cause a lot of people to leave WvW all together. Collision detection is a terrible idea.

What OS do you run, someone else also posted, he runs on Mac.

If you are a smart investor this is what you do. Purchase items, hold them, then tell reason for why the prices will be going up, then wait. Then you make bank.

That is have investors manipulate the market. And sorry buddy, but everyone already knew about that.

That item is done permanently. That item will NEVER again be able to make profit or break even. This will drive the price up for all items depend upon the sale of base crafting materials, which is how a real market works.

Because lets face it, I was looking over gw2spidy to see which items the Artificer would be able to make a profit off of based off of purchasing crafting materials and then the said crafted item. Barely ANY yielded a profit. And most the profit was very small, that it wasn’t worth it. This is because of undercutting. So I made a few ravaging bandit focus. I made 10. I’ve sold 3 of those 10 in 5 days. Why? Because the cost of relisting the item was more than what I was making. In the beginning, I should have been reeling in 20s per item. Now I believe it is a negative profit.

This market is broken. Sure what I suggest would take some complex coding, but it would fix the system.

As someone who makes money from crafting, I’ll give you some advice.

Finding a profitable item using gw2spidy is a great start, but remember that everyone else can do this too, so don’t expect to have the market for a particular item all to yourself.

Because of this, crafting multiples of the same item isn’t really advisable, as you do better in the long run by crafting different items depending on which items are profitable at the time. You may still end up being undercut on some of them, but I have found that enough of my items are selling within a few hours that I can wait for the rest to sell.

I do relist a few items every now and then, usually when the market price is staying well below what my item is listed at, but even then I usually make a small profit once the extra listing fees are taken into account.

My problem isn’t the undercutting. My problem is the people who sell their items on the trading post, AFTER they craft said item, and it creates a loss. Like today, an item was going for over 2 gold. Then in a day went to 1 gold, I was fine with that. Till someone decided to go and shoot for 40 silver. That is a loss of profit if anyone sells that low.

I can’t see how it is an exploit. Buying an item for cheap, crafting it, and then salvaging it to hopefully get an item that yields a higher value is not an exploit. If it is, then how about this for size, crafting an item for say 50s total, but the cheapest sale price is 18s. It is in the other direction, yes, but that is the same principal.

Besides, since when is gambling an exploit. I usually lose out when I’m salvaging for ectoplasm. ALWAYS lose out.

I run into this problem frequently. Like a good high end seller irl, I purchase my materials from the market. I then take these materials and make them into amazing items. I want to make a profit on these items. So, say the price of making one is 36s. I got that then, now in order for me to make a profit, I have to list a price at least 38-ish silver. (figure in the tax). That to me isn’t worth making, when you can make a better profit on just farming the materials, which may take ages. I now then think, okay, the price to make this item is only 17s. And the lowest price being sold is 40+ silver. One day later (a full 24 hours), the lowest price is now 29s. Yes, there is still a profit to be made, but in one day the profit got cut down just because people wanted a quick sale. Those just selling on the TP are not understanding of how this works. If you list you item at the same price for as the lowest price, it will sell eventually, perhaps not right off the bat, but it will sell in due time. I usually list about 5-8 items on the TP before I head to bed. Then wake up to see which kitten undercut me all night.

Only way for SoS to survive is they have to earn enough points in US prime time to survive the night.

You guys have zero coverage issues. I get on at 2:30 am EST and you guys are dominating the playing field. This still keeps happening well into the time I get off usually around 5:30 EST.

No coverage issues. You guys are not going to have a problem. The only problem you would have is if SBI and JQ suddenly had their queues filled up 24/7 which has happened in a long time.

You say comeback. I highly doubt it. SBI has a strong night capping and Oceanic coverage. It’s the middle of the week, and I’ve noticed this was always the time of day it went down. During NA Prime Time. Wait another 3-4 hours and we’ll be on top again. Can’t bring us down that hard

I love playing EB on SBI. It is so much fun. One moment you are sitting fighting off both servers, the next one server decides to make a pass on the other and you are double teaming them, on top of having loads of people swarm into the ever conflicting Stonemist Castle.

During the opening weekend we found an SoS inside of a the terrain hitting us. But that was just one instance.

They are going to be constantly releasing new features. Enjoy those.

I actually play during Oceanic/Asian time zones. On the SBI server. I will say that we do meet some good resistance. It’s not till around 2-3 am EST that things start to moved to SBI’s favor. And it is always the Borderlands too. I play strictly EBG. Nothing else. And it is always fun.

Actually, I don’t think you even need to touch the tutorial. You spawn in it, yes, but you can quickly go to the Heart of the Mists. Now, if you can back into PvE, you’ll be instantly teleported to the Tutorial. I did it with my Charr Hunter I started as an alt.

The arrow is basically a ‘gank me’ indicator and should be removed in my humble opinion. Too many enemy players focus on such players because of the potential ‘easy win’.

I leveled 34-80 pretty much entirely in WvW. I never had a problem. I died the same amount I am dying now at lvl 80. So to say it is an “easy win” means you are doing something wrong.

If this game turns into a p2w model, I will demand, not that it would do any good, a refund. p2w is a horrible model.

We need to get a solid Oceanic presence on JQ, because right now SB is winning solely on their ninja skills at 2am-5am.

That is entirely wrong good sir. If we are winning soley on the 2 am to 5 am area, which for me I’m in Eastern, yeah we has a strong lead. But almost entirely this week SBI has held the lead for PPT. So you can’t say we are winning SOLEY on those 3 hours. And 3 hours isn’t nothing compared to a full 24 hours.

Also, I’m suprised I haven’t seen any mention of the SBI Zerg Golem Army that can running through EB late last night. Took both Keeps and Capped everything Tower/Supply. Wiping upgrades clean. I felt bad for BG and JQ. It was just demoralizing to keep doing that to them.

I’ve been having a blast. Usually our night krewe (see what I did there), will take a lot on SBI. But tonight, we didn’t have as good of a turnout and also commanders making bad decisions, but we still held our ground on EB. I was happy about that.

I’m enjoying this week a lot more than last weeks. I just hope JQ and BG wake up

I’ve seen it where BG said they were being Double Teamed. They go, “LOOK! Swords on both our borders!!!!”

Well, news flash, there were also swords on all THREE borders, theoretically, everyone was getting double teamed. I wish people would stop worrying about, if something doesn’t go right, people complain about it.

PLEASE for the love of it all, stop complaining abut being 2v1’d. It is going to happen. It will happen. There is no way to stop it, unless we switch to a W4 layout, which is happening. There is no alliance between JQ and SBI, just respect. We at SBI, at least the night crew, just go like this, “Hey, you see that keep?” “Yeah?” “Lets take it, turn your commander tag and lets take that kitten.” “OK!”

Yeah, like that. Not planned, just going at it, and it usually only like 4-7 of us in TeamSpeak. We let the zerg do our dirty work.

We don’t care what server you are, we don’t help anyone out. We just kill. All we like to do is kill. In fact, some of us don’t care about the points, only killing.

To whoever said SBI is the bandwagon server.

Not possible. For many reasons. SBI has only one time NOT been in Tier 1. Just once. SBI usually maintained a consistent 2nd overall place. Now here’s the deal, Just because SBI got first place the past two weeks, doesn’t really mean that SBI is the bandwagon server. We’ve shown that SBI can dominate without having a bunch of people transferring.

Also, to whoever said that SBI primetime is bad. That answer is yes. I’ve tried playing in primetime for SBI before, and I just can’t do it. Waiting 30-45 minutes for queue just to find out with are losing horribly. People are making bad decisions. But I’ve notice from midnight till 5-6 am, we tend to start doing really well. And I also have to most fun playing with those guys. Early morning is a bit shaky. Early afternoon is horrible, there wasn’t a single commander on today.

Nobody is 2v1ing anyone intentionally. I mean take last night for example around 2:00 am EST. I get on BG’s BL. SBI was held at around spawn, we called it Pride Rock, for what seemed like HOURS. BG on one side and JQ on the other. So tell me, how is that not 2v1ing anyone, holding people at a spawn point? Am I complaning? NO!

2v1ing is GOING to happen in this game. It is a 3 way matchup. Is it intentional, probably not. We at SBI enjoy the, “Oh good, JQ is attacking BG now, maybe it will relieve some of the pressure off of us.” We also deal very well with payback. You take something of ours, we will come back ten fold with a zerg. It is like poking the hornets nest. Don’t do it.

SBI has never teamed up with JQ. And never will. We just have respect for JQ right now for being in Tier 1 with us for so long, kind of like our rival. The reason SBI hates HackGate so much is the fact LotD LEFT SBI and what not. We also do not like Hackers and Exploiters. So, with that being said, SBI chooses to attack HackGate because of that.

Also, SBI has MUCH better coordination that most servers. All the attacks and pushes were planned in advance. Each guild planned their own attacks, and even an entire SERVER attacked. Hell, I had a queue at 3 am EST. That isn’t right. But on the weekend I had no queue.

Anet doesn’t care. They just delete posts about orb hacking when one server accuses another. With pictures.

Lol at everyone who wants shortened WvW matchups. Do you all not realize that it will eventually become 2 weeks long? A two week long match up. I want to see that. Better to plan attacks and what not.

Also, type slash age into the game. Tell us how long you have played the game. The amount of hours over days in this game. Because obviously if you say you have completed EVERYTHING it would have taken a while. I know how to play the game. That little comment right there was the worst thing to say. Saying, “I learned how to play faster than most you.”

That is rude. I know how to play. I play how I want to play. At my own pace. I don’t need to rush through everything. I enjoy the game. You obviously played and was like, “Well, done, nothing else to do here.”

WvW is becoming alot less fun imo also, but for different reasons.

Way too many abusive strategies these days. I’m seeing the stacking turtle crap now which is pretty lame.

Thieves abusing stealth + rendering issues able to perma stop you from capping a spot is the worst though. The only way to counter it is to have everyone stand in 1 spot and spam aoes on yourself. That works in cap areas without buildings and walls but in areas that have those (ie bottom left supply camp), its almost impossible to kill 1-2 thieves and they can stall you out indefinitely.

Anet loves their thieves and their stealth mechanic, and its the most easily abused mechanic in this game since there is ZERO counter play. Really tempted to quit this game, and not because I want to move to a different one, but because this one is so poorly balanced.

Then quit, we don’t want people on the SBI server like this. Go away.

And I have no problem killing thieves 1v1. It is a longer battle, yes, but I do manage.

Here is the thing. I’m still enjoying the game. You rushed into the content. Have you thought about trying the game on a different character with a different storyline? Probably not considering there are COUNTLESS options.

I’m still having a blast. Still have tons to keep me entertained for a while. It isn’t Anets fault you rushed through the content. I know people in WvW with me who have logged close to 500-600 hours, purely WvW. If you don’t like the game anymore, then find something else.

The best part about this game, you can always come back. That is way Anet intended it.

Why should they rush out with content that people who have full-time careers, married, and actually go outside, be bombarded with content overload?

Have you completed all the achievements? Done every jumping puzzle? Sure, your WvW match up my be one-sided right now, wait till next week and see what you say.

They still need a lock out of WvW after they transfer

I know there are people who have their preference. Are you a Borderlands player, or an Eternal Battlegrounds person?

Personally, I’m EB. I know that map very well. Borderlands feels like a constant jumping puzzle with the terrain.

Other than just wanting to win? I don’t see any other reason. Personally I like being crushed to having nothing, and then come back. Sense of accomplishment.

No doubt SoS is moving up and really I’m glad they get their chance in Tier 1.

I just think it’s stupid free transfers are still available. Obviously this played a big part in SoS having a huge showing in WvW this week, while also leaving HoD practically empty.

Look at the graph… Boring match for all 3 sides and it lasts a whole week……

GET RID OF FREE TRANSFERS!

All I want is a balanced match ups. If whole guilds keep on screwing up the balance every week, then don’t expect WvW to stay populated.

They won’t be able to jump up that much for Tier one. Maybe another week. SBI is ranked 2. JQ is ranked 1 and BG ranked 3. Next week will be BG, SBI, and JQ. Again. Unless SoS dominates and one of the others is destroyed tremedously in tier 1. That is the only way.

^I’d have to say that is wrong. Last week SBI didn’t have all the orbs. We came from nothing, and dominated. We ended up winning. Explain that with your statement.

That’s because They were flipped. I saw that SBI took a keep with an orb, well 2 keeps. How is that an exploit or bug?

Some of the battles are intense. The beginning of last week was flat out awesome. I hate to say it, but the battle between IOJ, JQ, and SBI was the BEST PvP I’ve ever done.

All day and night. It was like that for Saturday too. All of the HoD main guilds jumped ship and went to BG. That is a known fact. LoD was a guild with SBI, they jumped to HoD. They are actually LoTD on your server now, but the same guild. So BG is this big server now, that has all this major guilds that are just going to explode like with JQ. Everyone left by the end of the week due to long queues. Where will you all go? Who knows, an frankly I don’t care as long as you stay out of SBI.

LoTD changed from SBI to BG cause the queue were to long on SBI however after last week battle were we had 650,000 point to 19,000, 17,000 we had a billion more people jump ship from those servers so now we have huge queue during peak hours (alose this was the first decent match we had for two weeks where we didnt obliterate the other side which would also contribute to queue however, SBI and JQ seem to be giving up and its going to be a third week or no challenge : ( and seems like it gonna be that way for some time since were in tier 1 now and the other two side would appear to be giving up.

I never had long queues last week. The most I waited for was 15-20 minutes TOPS.

And last week was a VERY close match. LoTD left for queue times, well you joined a server in which EVERYONE was bandwagoning too. That was your fault. You won’t be welcomed back in SBI, just so you know. Most of the WvW kills you guys on site. As soon as they see an LoTD tag, they target it. Forget about DIE. They want LoTD

Well of Corruption and Well of Sufferring on top of each other on a play in WvW is dominating. It destorys them.

I have problems with thieves. Always have. I don’t have the “Smoothest” running comp. I play on a laptop. I actually have problems sometimes.

But thieves shouldn’t be able to drop me in 3-4 seconds before I can get off a single counter. They will stealth, run into my kitten, but not take damage or get any conditions. This is a growing trend. I just wish I could 1v1 a thief over and over again to understand how they play.

I can usually get 10-18 stacks a bleed just by myself. Using a scepter dagger combo.

I’ll throw out blood is power. Then number 4 skill. Number 5 skill. Number 2 skill. Number 1 skill spam.

That is how it is done. When you have 5 out of your 9 skills throwing out bleeds, that is absurd. Not to mention well of sufferring and corruption hurts them pretty bad too. In PvP scenarios, I dominate 1v1. Two people though, then I have to go Shroud.

There would be just too much latency. The problem with the night capping is anet already stated that is what was meant to be. Personally, I like it. Start from scratch and have a sense of accomplishment.

Two, speed boosts. I have no problem getting from one end of the map to the other. So what if there are no mounts. I’m actually HAPPY there are no mounts.
