It’s generally considered bad etiquette to use stacks in duels, but some people don’t care.

I had a lot of good duels tonight. There’s too many people to mention, but especially big props for the MoW guardian, Deth/Yarr ele, WZ (I think?) mesmer, and Ynot! Big thanks to you guys and everyone else who came out this week.

By the way, for those of you wishing harder matchups on DH, we have just come off weeks against YB, BP, SBI, and KN. We have a pretty good idea of where our server currently stands, and those of us who pay attention know our limitations quite well.

First, I’m out of town and won’t be able to play at all in this matchup until Monday or Tuesday.

In my experience, average player skill level is somewhat higher in lower-ranked servers. This is not to say that players are better: simply that they’re devoting their time and effort to a different aspect of gameplay: solo/skirmishing versus group-play. If FC or IOJ (or DH) were to play a tier 3 server, I believe our players would win a majority of 1v1 or 3v3 situations, but lose almost all 15v15 or 30v30’s.

The current system makes this matchup unfortunate. Either Darkhaven goes all-out in an effort to stomp IOJ and FC and gain points, or they ease off to encourage competition and lose points, thereby making a future rematch more likely. Is that what you really want?

In any event, there are many of us who welcome 1v1’s and small-group matches. Feel free to PM or /w me or my [PD] mates or a number of others if you think all DH players are zerg riders.

DH, what are you guys doing? I understand it’s fun to come out strong on a reset, but you do realize that you’re going to make both FC and IoJ just want to give up, right? I’m not to keen on an essential 1v1 with DH because you demoralized FC enough to where they don’t show up at all. You keep going at this rate, and nobody is going to be in WvW. Do you really need to capture all of EB, all of FC’s BL, and have half of our BL? If you keep it up, I think you’re going to have an entire week of absolutely nothing.

Look at Millenium. We’re projected to lose 56k at this rate. So yes, we really do need to “capture all of EB, all of FC’s BL and have half of your BL.”

Do these skills activate the CC before or after the damage? In other words, do the related traits (Merciless Hammer and Unsuspecting Foe) add damage to these skills themselves, or only attacks used afterward?

As a solo roamer, I really have to say that on an aggregate level, DH players are probably the absolute least skilled players I have ever come across from any server by no small margin. Between all the servers that SBI has faced, DH really stands out as being the absolute worst in terms of player skill. I dare to say, DH players are possibly even worse than SBI players, most of whom I have absolutely zero respect for (in terms of player skill.)

I don’t know that mesmer and I wasn’t there for the Hills retake. I do know that neither of your servers swept particularly well in our BL tonight, since I hid out in Bay AND Garri for quite a while. It’s a shame that so much draaaaama happened tonight and we couldn’t rally a single decent force to port in at any point.

With that said, this looks like it will be a challenging week and I’m looking forward to it. Bring on the excitement! By the way, do SBI and KN have many roamers?

I’m glad the zergy people are having fun this matchup. From a roamer POV this has been the worse matchup I’ve ever seen. People are either running away, moving in groups of 10, or not being around completely.

Maybe I’ve been looking in the wrong places, but I agree with this. Almost every solo I’ve come across turned and ran instead of fighting, and getting jumped by 15 guys (who proceeded to drop everything and chase me for ten minutes) was commonplace.

He apparently wasn’t there when both servers were trebbing our inner walls at the same time, or hitting our north gate while the other walked through the south wall. Don’t let it bother you too much, Fires, we know what we did and we’re proud.

It goes both ways, though. I’ve not seen a single DH player give credit to NSP for beating us, only “it happened because of double team blahblah.”

Oh man, heck of a day in the motherland. We went from defending Bay from BP and YB zergs, at the same time (and while one of them also hit Hills) in the evening, to beating back successive golem rushes from both servers in the night.

Seriously? You think we care about holding your northern towers? There’s no point in sweeping for mesmers when we WANT you to take them back. Flipping them is just for wxp and to keep those walls papery and delicious.

Thanks much for the 5v5s from [TFH] and [vT], and to all the good folks who dueled me! I got to try new things and meet new people, all without the stress of siege assaults. (don’t get me wrong, I love wvw tactics, but it’s nice to get some small-scale mayhem just for the sake of fighting every now and then)

There was a big turnout tonight. I would have loved to get a shot at more of you, especially the PAXA guys. Sorry about the zerg. =/

I haven’t logged in the forums in quite a while but I just had to after reading this. There is so much truth here about DH’s Oceanic Crew Mentality. We are an EB-Centric Crew. The BL falling typically has little to no impact to the mindset of the soldiers in EB to fight for DH. As far as we are concerned, we were posted to fight in EB and that is where we shall stay. Leave the BL to the Border Patrol Crew & Militia Patrol. The soldiers remain in EB.

Personally, I almost always jump into EB when I want to play some serious WvW. I only use DH BL for its banking and crafting facilities.

You actually sound proud of this. For anyone wondering why we have no waypoints this week, here’s your answer.

I saw a group of four SPCA mesmers run past me tonight. I checked my guild panel and PD only had one mes online. I’m fairly certain this is bizzarro-world.
