What I had requested, in relation to the OP was some kind of Wiki Update to let us know what was to be unlocked when- so we know if these things are WAI or not as well as possibly something to let us know these other issues are even being addressed or not.

The wiki is mainly maintained by players and then there could be things that no one else but devs would know until it’s finally released. Then in this case it would take time until everything on wiki is up-to-date. Even the “latest changes” page in the wiki is just a reflect of patch notes published in forums, sometimes with some additions from players.

Which is my point.
They released it. We are playing it. With no idea at all what-so-ever what it WAI or not. If they do not give us a list of what we are to be gaining, and when (as I suggested for a Wiki update – ok, maybe that was too kind for some of you. Maybe I should’ve said Patch Note Release?) how do we as a Player Base know if what we are experiencing are bugs or WAI? There was nothing reflected in the Patch Notes. There was no addendum release for the new leveling system.
And you are all taking everything I’ve said and blown it so out of proportion and over the top and trolling-
We’ll keep our bugs or WAI breakages or w/e they leave us with.

I’m not sure if that’s what you are looking for. Also, the Wiki can only reflect what the players find in-game, as it is created and maintained by the players. Until the Devs release (supposedly next week) the list of what’s intended and what is not, those that contribute to the Wiki can only post what is actually happening in-game at this time. =)

Broken World events (2 days on a Dry Top event halting not only the event, but LS story progression)

And lots and lots of other things. None of which are listed several times. All of which have had nothing said about them at all.

I have found that the lack of Wiki page posting of the new unlocking has been a real issue. If we don’t know what we’re to have when, we cannot tell the difference between WAI and not.
Also, there are several severe issues of bugs (old and new) being reported that have not even had any kind of reply as of yet. That would be a start. Even as simple as a blanket reply, such as your blanket post here. Maybe one stating you’ve heard us, and are trying to correct some things. Right now, we have nothing but new Feature Pack bugs, old release bugs that weren’t addressed, and still nothing being said by anyone at ANet about any of it.
This is disheartening to the community.

Eng’s don’t get to swap weapons. They get Kits, via Skills. If you wish to swap weapons, you’ll need to equip then from your bags. Has always been this way, unless there’s some new ‘feature" they’ve introduced.

Posted a bug report earlier, didn’t know this was here or active (yay useless search feature!). I’ll request to have it deleted/merged.
My Shadow Fiend is useless most of the time. I am lvl21 and 90% of the time it does nothing. This does not appear to be a terrain issue, as it will take a nap on any kind of terrain. Sometimes it will decide to “join in” on the very last hit of the fight. I do now PvP/WvW, this is all PvE content. Of the 90% failure rate, 90% of that it naps on Veteran and Champ fights. It’s just about time to hang my Necro’kitten on a peg and delete her.

Since Feature Update, 9/10 times my Shadow Fiend just floats along, not doing anything to help in a fight. It just sits there. The mob is attacking me, sometimes (as I am now in a horrible under-powered-curve) getting my kitten handed to me, so there is no cause for it to just idly observe.
I have not had an issue with it’s “untimely demise”, in fact, it’s the opposite. It seems nothing can kill it but a big Champ-type boss. I have left it unsummoned after it was killed in a Champ fight (Maw) and quit the game and restarted, I have even tried playing on an entirely different machine.
It remains to (mostly) not help in fights. I have not tried to change the type of fiend I have, as I am unsure of what level requirement ANet has now posed on me. I am lvl20, and do know my 8 slot is locked (unsure if it is functional) I can resummon (if killed) and use the Shadow Fiend’s ability, so this tells me it’s functioning. It simply doesn’t attack my targets 9/10.

And it’s lovely that the Wiki has been altered, and that any trace of the original PS arc has been obliterated. I appreciate that. Really. Completing my PS has been put on hold due to real life. My best friend has received his Master’s degree and is finally settled in his new job. We have been awaiting the time to finally finish the PS arc we started over a year ago.
And now this. This “re-work” of the PS system that wasn’t broken to begin with, that in all of the time I’ve spent on the forums I’ve never seen any complaints about (at least about continuity).
My character’s life has been re-written, and now placed “back in time” so far it will take us a month (or more) to dig our way back to the place we were when he started school last year.
2 quests away, and now this.
I am so angry I’m not sure I will play a PS on any character I have ever again.
You can reprimand me, delete my post, I really don’t care. You need to know how upset this makes me, as a member of your player base, to cut and paste and jigsaw the game back and forth with zero warning, zero reasoning.
I spend time and money personally to facilitate your game, have brought in 7 additional game accounts by word of mouth, and I feel like I’ve been betrayed with your new game design.

I very much prefer the 200gems or w/e gold amount for missed LS chapters to a sub fee.
If GW2 ever goes that route, I will no longer play. Just my choice there. No threat, no whine, simply my choice. I’ve played under sub fees for far too long in games full of raging, toxic, moronic trolls to pay for another game (monthly).
If I miss a LS (an I did) I’ll gladly pay for it (and I have).

The game already has changed in the time it’s been released. It won’t take an xpac to show that.
Also, do you think that if they decide to release an xpac -for money- that they will still continue to provide LS updates for -free- as well? Does that make any kind of sense? Does it make sense to provide whole new areas and themes for cash, and to also provide whole new areas and themes for nothing in between? Something there doesn’t track to me.

This was not the reason they are now using MegaServers. Their old technology was flawed, and many, many people complained about the Overflow maps and being stuck in “bad” maps for World Events.
As for releasing to China- There are lots of Games releasing to many other countries now. Including Blizzard. Why would you think that GW2 if failing because there was demand for it in another country?

Show me your proof, then I will listen. All I hear is this. I heard this a year ago, before they removed the LoD limiter. People cried because “the game is dying! I don’t see anyone on my maps anymore!”. Then the LoD was changed, and holy crow There’s people everywhere. I hardly see a time when there’s not people everywhere, not just peak hours.

To play Devil’s Advocate:
You have to find the body to prove the someone has committed the crime.
If he’s merely “MIA” Then until he’s located there’s no proof he was offed.
In no way does the PC need to commit the crime his/her-self.
For no reason does this need to occur between the time he leaves the Omphalos Chamber and him reaching his home/office. There are plenty of other opportunities to have access, later.
A simple (non-Asuran) mishap w a device in his lab would fix this issue and leave no reason to have to dump him in the Matrix Cube Pit w the Steam Minotaur (or other extra-dimensional-area that could be found in the TNR or any other creative method.)

LS is not endgame content (not yet at least)… WvW/PvP still holds a massive amount of the player base and most of them could care less about a cheesy story update every 2 weeks unless it finally impacts WvW/PvP…which is won’t lol.

People aren’t rushing to play this game because it has Living story lol..more people are leaving though because anet seems to care more about LS than ANY other aspect of this game… that needs to change.. regardless of xpac or not, LS should not have this much focus and support..there are more important things to do in this game than playing story time for a few hours every 2 weeks…. This is an MMO, not an a single player RPG.

If you want an xpac, go play a game that does that ( WoW has one coming up soon)

While I understand your trying to get your point across, I believe you can use better means. I know I don’t like to be addressed like this, for any reason. I feel it’s rude and condescending and we as a community are supposed to listen to and share with and make points about our and others opinions- not bash and tromp on others in our community for having diverse thoughts.
If you’re here only to PvP, that’s one aspect of the game. Same for those who participate in the LS content.

You’re right. This isn’t a single player RPG. Nor is it only a PvP game. It is an MMO that is based on a world (Tyria) that has it’s developing Living Story. It happens to have a PvP/WvW element in it. It was not centered on that element, or the entire world would be embroiled in a no-opt PvP zone that anyone would be subject to. PvPers may choose to not participate in LS as PvE/LS players may chose not participate in PvP at will. Bashing on someone about this fact is pointless.

About the OP:
The original LS concept being released in time gated chunks over short amounts to me feels like a better way of doing things. After playing WoW for 9yrs I have come to enjoy the newness of what the next couple of weeks will bring versus the onslaught of enormous grinds that lay ahead. The never ending list of “now I have the next 6mos of grind x to make y” and once I have that done… Nothing for a year and a half till the next xpac rolls out.

It’s not technically ‘Hacking" it’s a DDoS attack. They are script kiddies, pinging the chat servers, and by that, creating a huge amount of pinging to the Chat Servers (their own admission, if that can be trusted at all) and crashing NCSoft’s databases. This is not a direct attack to ANet, or GW1/2 solely. They are hitting NCSoft, RuneScape, TeraOnline, EVEOnline, and multiple other sites (again, if their own page is to be trusted).
What you can NOT do is click any link on their twitter page. There is a script in their page that links you to their own script, thereby adding your power to their own, and thereby adding to the power and length of taking down these servers.

If LizardSquad has been harassing ANnet more than once I’d hope they would -not- send out a post to the general public once they’ve gotten all they’re hatches battened down. It’s just a big juicy steak being waved saying “here’s a new test, come break into us again”.
There’s many ways for these types of attacks to be sent out. Just because they’ve protected form one or two, doesn’t mean there aren’t more to be launched.

So I’ve viewed a thread (Twilight Assault – Lackluster Content) and viewed a pic Elbegast had on his post, and now the whole thread is gone. I’ve tried closing my browser, I’ve rebooted. All I see now is this.
Anyone have any idea what’s wrong? This hasn’t been an issue before.
Only thing that’s changed that may (or may not) be an issue, I have upgraded to Win8.

Maybe that answers part of my question, on the stats, as I read the page wrong.
(on /existing and newly crafted items/ having a new Stat Designation)

However, when I upgraded my Shattered Wings back item shortly after the Sanctum LS release, I lost the ability to display my Wings for about a week after upgrading the Upgrade Slot.
The item was not removed, the Wings still showed in the Preview pane, the box was checked…
Yes, a Support Claim was submitted and correspondence was had for the week they didn’t display. Then they were fixed. The Support Team was awesome about it all.
Still, I’d like a little more reassurance that these skin items will not ‘disappear’ again, simply because they are now no longer the Original Item and Account Bound.

I have the Wayfarer’s Exotic back items (Temple of Melandru) on both my ‘main’ 80’s.
One has the Shattered Wings, the other Holographic Wings.
My questions are these:
—What stats will Wayfarer’s become? No stat listing was posted on the Disequilibrium page.
—What will become of the Skins? Will they be destroyed?
If Yes, one last question…
—Will these skins be refunded, as they were destroyed through no fault of my own?

I would guess that the skin would not matter, as the Shattered Wings would be destroyed same as the Desert Rose Skin, but in the case of the Shattered Wings, I have no way of acquiring another skin. Even as such, in the case of buy-able skins, I should not have to buy a new skin, as I did not sell/delete/salvage/etc them on my own to lose them.

Agreed. Refund on Celestial gear for those who want it should happen. Removing a stat with zero compensation is extremely unfair and a good way to lose what little faith people have left.

Also, why should anyone be refunded Charged Crystals or Ectos for gear they’ve made, and used or not, had in inventory for possibly a couple months? You wanted it at the time, you made it. You had full knowledge of it’s stats, you had every ability to know how it would affect your playability. There’s no reason at all, especially given the above information on choosing new stats and Account Binding- to get any form of refunded materials. None at all.

They already stated they will become Account Bound.
You didn’t read the previous posts correctly.
The posters comments were meaning that people would craft/buy MF gear now. MF gear is currently Half The Cost of (example: could be more or less-ish) Berserker’s Gear- and after the patch, then Choose the stat combination of Berserker… Thus saving money. Because the gear cost less now, and will ultimately have the stats they want, after the patch.

It’s not about the XP.
It’s about me risking being downed myself to rez them only to have them
A: Stand there A.F.K. and just go right back down again
B: WP out in the middle of me trying to help them, even though I know their map shows “A Noble Soul Is Trying To Rescue You!”

C: In the case of Ele’s they will Mist Form away from me in the middle of a rez.
In all of the above cases- I have ended up in either serious harm’s way myself, or dead and needing rezzed or WPing because they were the only ones there (and were A.kitteng it)!

I have SOLVED my DC issue with this Error Code!
I jumped through all the GW2 Tech Support Hoops, PingPlotter, etc… to no avail.
This is what fixed mine:
I reset my router. Not Cycled it, but Reset it. Hold the little Reset Button til it wiped it, then set it up (like when it was new). Then I Updated the Firmware. Rebooted my PC, and That Was It. I have now run GW2 (in several bouts lasting a min of 6hrs) for over 48hrs with not a single DC. I was DCing at least every 30min before, over 3weeks.
I have a Linksys E2500 Dual-Band Router, and it took all of 10min to do.
I took screenshots of my settings before hand (I also run a MineCraft Server, so I wanted to make sure all of my Port Forwarding was accurately re-applied).
Again- GW2 Tech Support showed after over 36hrs of their most vigorous tests, that I showed no packet loss or other symptoms they would cry ‘foul’ on. They and I were baffled.
This Router Reset and Firmware Update has solved my Error Entirely.

But really?
1366×768 is not all that uncommon a screen resolution.
So why on Earth is my Chat Box Above the Skill Bar?
It blocks up part of my screen, and makes my FoV unwieldy.
And yes, I can set my GUI to Small, but them it looks like the second screen shot when I try to read anything. The letters are all squished and it hurts my noggin…

I ran on Med settings with Post Processing on Low BY CHOICE as I run other progs as well as GW2.
Since the patch I am now only able to run on Low, and have insane lag, FPS drop (60ish to a now stellar 10-12ish) and frequent disconnects that over 36hrs of ANet Tech Support testing- tells me is not from packet loss or the other issues they are looking for when this Error happens.
My case is cleaned regularly. I have no Pets. I do not Smoke. My cables are Tied Properly. Myself and my boyfriend have worked in the Computer Field collectively a very long time (and I’m ‘older’) and specifically in the role of ‘turning the screwdriver’ to fix other peoples PC’s and Servers.
I know how to clean a PC, and fix one.
I also know that by changing code, and placing a higher demand VISUALLY from an already Graphically Intensive Program -such as GW2- that it will cause a CPU and/or GPU to overheat.
Look at the PS3 and Skyrim. ’nuff said.

No one ever stated that GW2 was changing Fan Speeds or Voltage Settings. Not Once.

During the first (most) part of Labyrinthine Cliffs- You used your Crystals at ‘jump’ points for the said crystal. Little Sun Bursts, Cloud Bursts, Lightning Bursts.
With my Laptop on LOW everything but Post Processing for the character highlight

Yes, any System w a 32bit OS can only see and use up to 4GB of RAM anything more is wasted.
You’ll need a 64bit OS to utilize up to 32GB.
Also… Anyone that tells you that MS XP is a ‘Mid Range’ OS… You’ve been given false information. Microsoft has now completely Discontinued ALL Support for XP. No Updates, Nothing. It’s Obsolete. Whether it’s ’ Happy and Stable’ or not, it’s no longer viable.

Dude it was really easy to solo T1 and T2 normally (about 45-49 kills). I didn’t hear about camping at the plunderer spawns until I was doing T3 and T4

I also believe you forget what role Guards play. They are not glass cannons. If you think Zerking is the only Gear/Build in the game, -I’m- not the one who needs build advice.
The other point is- If only ONE Gear/Build spec is viable to complete these Trials, then they have again failed to make good on the promise of their content.

So no one has explained how to do this on a Guard yet.
I have – no burst damage -almost no cc -hardly no range (on weaps that give the best range of dmg dealing) -no speed boost (unless i use the WORST dmg output weap i have access to)
So. Where’s the video and the build for the Guardian?
