Immersion Abilities

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Something I would enjoy so much in this game is if each profession had a few abilities, maybe with their own separate keybind slots (not utilities/weapons) that just added more imaginative immersion into playing each profession.

For an example: a Necromancer could enter a Deathshroud realm (not in pvp of course) where they could interact with other Necromancers in it; or an Engineer could create little gadgets that everyone could use. These would provide no real benefit to each class, other than the emotional benefit to the player of having fun.

There could be a few abilities each Profession starts with; but, I could also imagination abilities being released in the gem, or Profession specific quest that result in a long chain of quest eventually culmination with the specific Profession learning the new ability.

It would add a lot to the cosmetic experience many of us enjoy, and give some of us players who enjoy solo play a delve into our characters growth.

Anyone else think something like this could be fun?

[Suggestion] Less waypoints, more mounts

I’d like to see mounts just for cosmetics. So much of this game, for myself and many others, is about the progression of developing your characters cosmetics: finding the right skins, crafting the right weapons. Having something like a giant Krait for my Necromancer to ride on would add such fun to the cosmetic game for me.

Also, as underwater fighting has different moves: imagine if each class had a limited set of moves on mounts – could be cool

It just adds more fun for me; who knows, maybe a few others agree.

Norn Shapeshifting as Utilities

ah… I just love shape shifting so much. I guess they would be too powerful in some situations. It would still be cool to have em all as utilities, and keep their cool downs; by the time I cycled through them all, they would start coming off cool down in another minute or two, so that could still be super awesome and provide the experience of being shifted for half my play time. But, being able to ship seamlessly at will… that’s some that’d keep me playing happily for a while! My imagination desires a shape shifter so dearly. Maybe one day, some new spiritesque class will be release and my fancies will be fulfilled!

Norn Shapeshifting as Utilities

There is nothing I like more than pretending to be a shapeshifter. The norn can do this, but only for a limited time every few minutes.

What if all the norn shape shifting elites, except snow leopard, were utilities, and didn’t have cool downs entering them such as engineer kits don’t.

They’re not even that powerful, so it’s not like they would throw off any balance.
It would also develop a sub community of other players who love playing as shape shifters.

I would honestly just have so much fun running around in WvW being able to go into all those animal forms at will!

Anyone else think making them function like kits is a cool and fun idea???

I’d like to say to everyone who has posted here: thank you! This thread has been such an inspiration to me on my journey to craft a legendary.

I’ve been playing the game since beta, and up until recently I had always written legendaries off as either too complicated for me to make, or just too much out of my reach in every way. However, I started reading up on them in late September and I realized it was an actual possibility for me, and that I had actually acquired a bit of the means to make one.

After selling everything I own today, from unbound items to mats, I was able to afford Dawn.

As of so far I have:
- Dawn
- Everything but Map completion for Gift of Mastery
- Gift of Ascalon
- 77 Mystic Clovers

Man I’m such a ways off, but it’s crazy to me how far I’ve come since I’ve started! I’ll certainly post back here when I have Sunrise to help share the inspiration with others beginning to mad journey!

Black Lion Claim Tickets and LS

So I recently found a Black Lion Claim Ticket in a BL Chest, and I saw that all the Dreamthistle items are currently 1 Claim Ticket; however, I’m not to drawn to any of the items. When new items are released in another LS will they only cost 1 ticket for the duration of that update? If so, I might as well save the ticket until something I really like is available. But if this isn’t the norm for the weapons to cost 1 ticket, I might as well buy something seeing as how in over a year of playing I’ve only gotten 1 ticket, and don’t see myself acquiring 4 more.

Thanks in advance!

Just Barely Missing Out on LS Items

Has anyone else has this experience, or a similar one: You’re playing the Living Story, you’re enjoying it, and you’re excited to get that Living Story item – not only are they usually very cool, but they are also tokens of having been there; but, to your misfortune, whatever it is, something gets in the way and you aren’t able to complete but a few trivial achievements needed to get the item. Then, sadly. the LS ends and, though you were there for the experience, you’re left without your cool skin/token of having ‘been there.’ —- anyone this happen to?

Sadly, this happened to me with Flame and Frost, and still it’s bothersome that, though I did the dungeons and most everything else, because I did’t complete two trivial achievements (school and what not) I was not able to get the skin. Sometimes, I lie awake at night, and I pray to the ArenaNet Gods: Dwayna ~ please, if you can hear me . . . is there any solution to this problem of mine! Will I forever be forces to accept that harrowing account ’that I was there, but I have no skin!!!

Anyone else have any thoughts on this? Should it be possible to get the skin with a ticket if say, you have a minimum amount of achievement points for such and such Living Story? That way, also, those who were there, and maybe want the skin for another character of theirs, could also retrieve the items with a ticket?

Any ideas anyone?

The Fused Gauntlets are my favorite gauntlets in the whole game; and I was half way through two last achievements to get them, but I was unable to complete them due to personal issues. I truly value my characters appearance above most else is this game – because I attribute personal back story and lore to each item I equip. It’s this sort of narrative spin I put on items that really helps me express my imagination and identify with my characters. This is why I play online games of this sort. Not having the Fused Gauntlets really hinders me from moving in an imaginative direction with my character that I was hoping to. Those Gauntlets aren’t just a skin to me: they’re a defining symbol and heirloom of my characters past – not only of the Flame and Frost content and the tribulations I faced therein, but also of the logic I attach to why my character would have Gauntlets that consisted of smoldering branches entwining her arms, Fused and wrought with iron: It’s a symbol and age old technique of personal forbearance (something all Necromancer’s and wielders of Magic should be familiar with) necessary for inner transformation and growth.

I think its really great how with the return of SAB we are able to finish the original achievements, and if Flame and Frost ever returns I’d be so grateful if we were able to finish enough of the original content and achievements to acquire the Fused Gauntlets, or if we could acquire the Fused Gauntlets by new means.

My family laughs at me and says I’m playing online Barby . . . But kitten it!! I’m know what I’m playing – I’m playing Guild Wars 2!

Non-legendary footfall effects

I was thinking that too, but I think that attitude could be appeased by the fact that everyone with the Living Story footfall effects would have the exact same footfall effects; whereas those with the legendary footfall effects would still have footfall effects that could only be gained by the means of acquiring a legendary. Ah, but alas, for how much work it takes to get a legendary, it is nice that they come with exclusive visual effects…

I would just really love them without having to create a legendary, especially when there’s no legendary I really like either.

I think footfall effects are one of the coolest visuals in the game; but as of now they can only be gained through obtaining a legendary. I think it’d be really awesome if one of the next Living Story exclusive items were boots that add footfall effects, or an infinite consumable that adds footfall effects to our character, or a one time consumable that adds footfall effects to a pair of boots.

Does anyone else think this sounds like a interesting idea? Is this something anyone else would like to see?

I have to say: I think the Infinite Watch Knight Tonic is the coolest Living Story/Event item “I’ve” yet to see Anet release. I think it is one the coolest items in the game.

However, though I have 16/17 Achievements complete, I am honestly worried I may not be able to complete the 13/13 Maps achievement by the end of the Event.

What if 16/17 Achievements was enough?

Working, and my home life, don’t really allow me to work with this requirement. I can’t be there scanning the game for those few maps I need. My only chances to get it are neglecting some of my home life, or staying up late and feeling lousy the next day at work. Or just getting lucky.

I’d be sincerely disappointed if I couldn’t get the Watch Knight Tonic. I know this next comment is going to sound a little entitled, but… having been with this game since the Beta Weekends, and having been there for almost every Living Story, I’d be a little let down with the game if I couldn’t get this Tonic.

I think others are out there with 16/17 achievements with the same worry who may feel the same, if ya do please voice your self. Again, what if 16/17 Achievements was enough to get the Watch Knight Tonic?

The two now being connected affects that simple bit of style, taste, and lore for me, and really takes away from what truly made the Necromancer so unique to me. I really just think it should not be connected to Health in such a way. Before, It allowed us to negate huge burst damage, and allowed us to shroud dance, where we could pop in and out of it as often as possible with as little Life Force as possible and use it very affectively. Now, it just seems like a little bit of extra health, that we use at the expense of all out healing and utilities and weapon skills.

I agree. It feels like an interesting game play mechanic was removed from the game. I used to love popping in and out of Death Shroud as well, it was great. It added some depth to the class…. and now it’s gone. And all for a pax tournament. I don’t even play pvp!

I’d be really happy if it was for the pax tournament only, and they changed it back after. But who knows ;(
Death Shroud as it was really saved me in some great pvp. So many times it was that little bit of help I needed to get away and get an understanding on what’s going on in a battle, or just get away to run away. As of now, if I have low life, and low life force, it’s almost useless . . .

Even when I would be almost dead, and would leap of a regularly small cliff, which would otherwise kill me with low health, Death Shroud saved me. I don’t need absurd cliff diving back – although I’d be happy to have it back – I just need Death Shroud back as a way to laugh at death, to toy with it, to play with it.

Sometimes I look in the mirror and I ask myself: ‘Am I a Necromancer? Do I walk the razor’s edge of that fine balance between life and death? Or am I just a silly little Warlock, toying with the Dart Arts?’ . . . I don’t know anymore.

Necromancer's only defense!

in Necromancer

I really don’t agree with the change to Deathshroud whereas Life Force is now intimately connected to our Health Bar. To me, it seems even to be a schism in the Necromancer’s lore. Deathshroud, with its Life Force, seemed to me as a ‘force of life’ distinguished from the Health Bar, something other worldly and spectral – where, so long as I was alive, with the smallest amount of Health, I could walk back into that world; and even with the minimal amount of Life Force I could save myself from some otherwise perilous attacks!

I was, and still am, willing to sacrifice my utilities, healings, and weapon skills to enter that spectral world, where my Life Force is a sustenance separate from my Health Bar, or my external body’s (lore wise) vitality. The two being separate helped me feel as if I was traversing the worlds of life and death; even cliff diving was a way we could escape death in ways no other class could. If this change remains in place, I’ve lost my Death Shroud, and only gained a Life Shroud! I do love cliff diving, and if they think that is a broken mechanic, then I wouldn’t mind it being changed, so long that Life Force could go back to being separate from our Health Bar.

Life Force, I feel for the sake of the Necromancer’s lore and one of our most unique mechanics, should not being connected to our Health Bar. That’s my two cents. I think if we Necromancer lovers voice our concerns enough, can have our old Shroud back! We’ve done it before, it’s happened before!

Remember when our corruption skills we’re tampered with? We didn’t get them completely back to how we wanted, but we got them to back how we needed. Give us our Shroud back by not connecting it to our Health Bar! Let me block a big hit with 10% Life Force, traverse the realms of life and death, and once again remember, that kitten it, I’m a Necromancer: You can’t kill the kittening undead!

The Norn Elite Skills... Seriously?

I think it would be pretty awesome if some of the Norn’s shape shifting elites were utilities instead. Obviously, Snow Leopard should stay as an elite, but I could see myself having a lot of fun if both Wolf and Bear form were utilities; especially if they didn’t have cool downs such as we see with Engie kits. Heck, I could even see myself building around shape shifting just for the pure joy of it, even if it was much less effective than doing otherwise. Being able to roam as a wolf indefinitely would just melt my lil heart with warm joy!

Would any of you like to see some of the forms as utilities without cool downs too?

Suggestions "New Condition" DS#5

I do like the idea of a condition that would punish teams staying close together, something that has a chance of spreading every tick to the persons allies within X range.

I’m glad to see you like that idea. Your words, “punish teams staying close together” helped me to realize how unique of a condition it could be; it’s just such an interesting meta condition to punish that aspect of a combat. The more I’ve thought about it, it seems like it could be really fun. If the players were aware they could counter it easily enough, but, at the cost of opening up their group, and if they were careless and not paying attention, a single person could begin internally compromising an entire zerg.
It seems like it could yield some very interesting dynamics.

It’d also be fun to watch an infection fester in a group as they fight to defend their keep.

Infection sounds like a good name for it too!

I just feel the ability to be able to duel a player anywhere is a must… I dont want to have to go to a private server every time i want to fight a friend

Whats the point of unbalanced duelling ?

Not all dueling would be unbalanced – and, I find it is the lack of balance sometimes that allows and even forces the player base to take the matter into their own hands, developing sub communities around certain classes. I’ve been a part of some really great sub communities where we knew what was just too powerful, and the consensus agreed against its use. We’re not asking to allow Arena Net to balance the game for us; give us the opportunity, trust us, and we’ll find balance amongs ourselves. Sometimes, dueling is truly a living world of its own. And personally, I prefer the imbalances… They yield great originality and new discoveries sometimes, and it’s just fun for me when things aren’t perfectly balanced.

This game is base’d on teamplay/teamwork – so there are some classes that can beat rest 1vs1 , so that makes no point in duelling (for exapmle mesmer) + in PvE/WvW there are big stats diffrence between players.

“We’re not asking to allow Arena Net to balance the game” – what ?! O_o
I would love to see balance at least between class’s.

" Sometimes, dueling is truly a living world of its own" – you mean Open World PvP? Well this is for children and people who love to destroy fun and peacful pve game for others.

“And personally, I prefer the imbalances… They yield great originality and new discoveries sometimes, and it’s just fun for me when things aren’t perfectly balanced. "
So you are not a PvP person and you don’t like challange. I guess you are one of thous players who take OP class ,because it is easy way just to ruin other people fun.

I don’t usually play pve, but when i do – I want to relax with some jumping puzzle and i deffenetly don’t want that some kid will push me from a cliff, just becaus he thinks it is funny.

I really don’t feel you understand where I’m coming from, and may have taken what I was saying out of context and misinterpreted it.
There is no reason Anet could not allow your experienced to be compromised by me dueling with my friends. A simple option of whether or not you would like to receive dueling invites, which by default could be set to ‘no’ in the options, would allow you to play pve and be at ease, relaxed knowing not only can nobody attack you, but also that you don’t even have to worry about having denying invites since in options you’d have that feature turned off.

New Profession: Shape Shifter

in Suggestions

Posted by: tyler.2569

tyler.2569

You guys bring up some good points. The original mention of the trinity in shifted forms was influenced kind of by the tool tips of Elementalist attunements and WoWs Druid; but, Anet is trying to stay away from the trinity. Regardless, there are more ways it could be, that’s a great point. Essentially, I’d just love to have that shape shifting Profression, just for purely aesthetic value. The mechanics are already there with the Elementalist and the Engineer.

I really like the idea of trinity, or just variety like the Ele, so for me that would be awesome; but, a whole new type of Shape Shifter could be really cool. I like a character who can do a little bit of everything, and shifting forms just seems to invite that for me.

Even if I could just have the Norn Elites as utitilies which I could pop in and out of at will, like an Engie with its kits, I’d play it devotedly, even if it was terribly underrated and considered lousy. Or, just heck, give us a new Norn specific class with those elite forms as attunements and I’d be hooked for years.

I get that some people dislike not being able to see their gear; but for me, when being a shape shifter, it’s not about the gear, it’s about the animalistic beast I get to become. There’s also a sense of humility the shape shifter carries for menot being able to show off it’s gear always. But, that’s just me. Yet, there might be others who agree.

I’d like to bring up what I mentioned earlier and hear some opinions on it: the shape shifter being similar to the Elementalist, in shifting attunements mechanics wise, but lacking all AoE, being intentionally built for single target combat. That might even be a fair enough difference to take away attunement cool downs and allow the shifter to pop through forms at will, like an Engie with it’s kits.

Heck, it could be interesting if the shifter didn’t even get to use weapons too, or just got to use something simple like only axe and daggers. And, depending on what types of utilities one picked, it changed some of the moves in the forms – say there’s spirits which provide passive buffs, but also influenced to types of moves in the forms based on the essence and style of that spirit. It could add a lot of fun diversity to the shifter.

Anyways, I’m just type away dreaming now!

Please share your ideas! I’d really love to hear them, and maybe one day they could even be found in the game as a new profession, the product of all our creative thought!!

I don’t know what this “great community” you refer to actually is. In other games, duelling usually brought with it constant duel request spam during events/farming sessions, derogatory whispers/tells and even more derogatory PMs.

In one such game (RoM) before they implemented an auto-reject feature, my ignore list had grown so big I had actually hit the limit (1000) because of all the morons who kept spamming me duel requests.

Yeah, “great” community.

It seems like you’re not a fan of dueling, and hey – it’s not for everyone. There’s many aspects of games that I don’t enjoy, and even sometimes dislike. But, as you’ve said: “[you] don’t know what this ‘great community’ [I] refer to actually is.” Believe it or not, there are healthy, respectful, and very fun communities that develop around dueling. If you haven’t experienced such a community, I see how your own experiences could then influence you to think that the type of community I am referring to is of the nature you’ve referenced from your own experiences.

Communities develop around similar interest; and within those communities develop friendships; and with friendship comes a feeling of person connection – this connection can keep one playing a game for months to years, which has at times has been the case in my own experiences.

However, not all communities that develop are positive, and sadly sometimes a healthy and respectful community may be hard to find; but they are there. Though some of us have come across a CoF group that might not fit our interest, as many of us know not all CoF groups are the same – and the same principle is found with dueling communities.

I think offering the potential for this type of community to develop for those of us who like it, without having to resort to entering the mist, would be beneficial for Arena Net, helping them to maintain even more of a steady and committed player base. I have no doubt that Arena Net could implement such a change without compromising the gameplay of those who have absolutely no interest in dueling. A simple option to ignore all duel request, or rather, allow players to flag themselves as being willing to duel and being able to see those who are interested in dueling as flagged too, would solve all the problems you mentioned, which seems to be the general problem most forum posters bring up.

A simple change to game, such as being able to flag my self as being willing to receive dueling request (maybe putting a little red axe by my name) and it being visible only to those to who have flagged themselves also as being willing to receive request, which I would know by seeing that little red axe by their name, would bring so much joy to me.

And look, if that were the case, someone like you wouldn’t even have to burden themselves by opening up options and turning off ‘receive dueling request’; no, the onus would be mine: for I would have to open options and make the effort to turn ‘receive dueling request’ on . . . and a splendid experience that could be!

I would be so excited if dueling was implemented. There’s a really great community that comes with dueling, and a lot of sub communities that come with it too. Ah, how much joy would come with it for those of us who love dueling!!!!!!!!

Suggestions "New Condition" DS#5

I’d like to see a condition that was useful for any build, in most situations.

Something I’d like a little more of on my Necro is some healing. What do you all think of an attrition based condition that supplies healing back to the Necro while also damaging the opponent, for every time they attack. For every ability the opponent uses, or just weapon ability, it takes a little life from them and gives it back to the Necro.

Or, what about a condition that makes the person who receives it contagious? So, if they get to close to a team mate, then their conditions will transfer to that team mate. If we really want this condition to be deadly, it can be that it can’t be healed, and, this particular condition itself is transferable, or contagious, and, when someone received it, or becomes infected, the timer starts over. It would be interesting to see it causes momentarily scattering in groups, as people try to quarantine themselves and heal, so as not to infect their allies. It would really forces these other mobile wvw builds to use their mobility to our advantage. This just sounds so awesome to me, an entire group could stay infected indefinitely if the infected players don’t quarantine themselves. But, though they cant cleanse the infection confition, they can still cleanse all other conditions that they have and could spread, or recieve from other infected players, and wow could they spread fast; but, of course, it’d have to be on a tick, so as to noy be insta and then too powerful. Haha, this was all a random spontaneous idea that popped into my head as after I finished the first idea, which was thought out… And wow do I like this idea.

Signet of Undeath's Passive.

I really love this signet because I love more Life Force, and its active effect has allowed for some great turn arounds in some sPvP matches. IIRC it’s about 3% LF for every 10 seconds of combat, and 20% LF for every minute. I enjoy that extra bit of LF, because just being able to pop into Death Shroud and use the teleport or fear, or proc Enfeebling Blood from being traited for it upon entering DS, has really come in handy and helped me get away or finish a kill, or just buy me a few more seconds waiting for my heal’s CD to end. So, this signet definitely has it uses; but, I would really enjoy a small buff to the passive. I think even a minor difference, say 1% every 2 seconds would yield a positive effect. 1% every second? I can’t say that I’d complain or mind at all

New Profession: Shape Shifter

I really enjoy pretending that I’m an earthly shape shifter, such as Diablo 2’s Druid and WoW’s Druid. It’s something that my imagination really thrives on. As of now, none of the professions really cater to my imaginative-fantastical self image; the Necromancer and Elementalist get pretty close, but not as close as a Druid like profession would.

I imagine that a shape shifting profession could would like an Elementalist, such that it would have attunements; but they wouldn’t be called attunements, and they would each be a different form. I imagine it would almost be like being able to switch between all the Norn shape shifting elites, if each one was its own attunement.

Its abilities could be like Engineer kits, whereas they are not tied to the weapon; so, only the shape shifters natural, unshifted, form would have abilities that varied based on weapons.

It could be like the Elementalist in the sense that it provides a lot of variation, with one form being for healing, one form being for tanking, one more being maybe more bursty and mobile. But, a big difference from the Elementalist would be that the shape shifter has very little to no AoE; everything effects or self, or is direct damage to another player. Aesthetics and no AoE would be the big difference from the Elementalist’s mechanics.

I think the Norn Elites are amazing, and so beautiful, but 30 seconds only, and only being able to use one, and such a long cool down is not enough for my imagination to thrive on and build an entire character.

If anyone else shares these sentiments with me, and has some cool ideas, please post! I’d love to hear some ideas about utilities, elites, and traits. We never know, maybe the next Profession released could be a Druid like character!!

Sell Particle Effects in the Gem Store

It’s been brought up before, though I don’t think too often. It could be really awesome to be able to buy some basic particle effects in the Gem Store. Maybe even just simple effects but with different colors. When it comes to style, it really adds to developing a characters aesthetic having those particle effects. A lot of us really appreciate them, yet they can be very hard to come by. What do you guys think? Is this something you’d shell out a few gems for?

Also, It could be cool is particle effects could be crafted also.

I was using the Healing Turret, which is great, but then I started to like the chances of getting Protection from Elixir H; and, though I like traiting for Elixirs, I just felt there was no room to trait for it this Build. What you say is very wise though, and does persuade me to rethink over Healing Turret again. Thanks for the feedback!

Edit: Zin, I was completely unaware of the water combo fields from the Healing turret; and I had actually forgotten about its condition removal. Thanks for enlightening me to that information.

Chapter 4: The End . . . But Just the Beginning!
Looking over all this information, one may come to recognize how much the Engineer is actually Capable of. I remember my mum used to ask me . . . “Cup, but where’s the stun breaker?” I looked to her, and I said, “Mum! Maybe I just don’t need one baby!” I threw off my diaper, put on my blue suede shoes and hit the road, Wrench in Hand, Pack on my Back, and the Urge to Kill Rising!

As stated above, I feel this is best played constantly shuffling through kits, allowing all those minor attacks to come together into some steady damage; utilizing all the defensive capabilities, knowing when to use them; knowing when and how to assist a friend with a long ranged Blind, or Heal, or Cripple. This is quite a Build, and it’s pretty fun. Now, I should admit: I’m quite the fool, and not too good at any game; and it may be possible that for many of you it will be discovered that this Build is trash, and I only think it decent, like the fool I am.

I wish I could finish this with a last chapter on techniques and tactics . . . But, that’s where all you come in. If ya like this Build, get out there and discover what its capable of, and when its many nuances are called for.

And, I should say again . . . This is my first post to these forums, and my first Guide ever. I don’t expect the disjointed nature of this Guide to be received too well, nor do I know if everything I has just written is Utterly useless, and 278 other Guides exactly like mine exist, and whether or not there’s some catchy known name for this Build. If so, please delete this post immediately and forget that I have ever existed!

And To that I say: In the shadows of Tyria, danger is always lurking . . . But dawn is just a heart beat away.

The Tool Belt: Keep in mind, the Tool Belt Recharges at 25% health.
1. Toss Elixir H: Chance to get 7 seconds of protection, or 15 seconds of Regeneration; also, a chance to get Swiftness, which, from this, is redundant for this build.
2. Throw Wrench: Long Range Attack that Remove a Conditions when used in a Light Combo Field.
3. Incendiary Ammo: Adds decent burning to your next three attacks.
4. Healing Mist: Grants 15 seconds of Regeneration.

Healing Slot Skill: Also remember, Heals recharge at 25% health.
Elixir H: Heal yourself with a chance of receiving 7 seconds of Protection or 15 seconds of Regeneration; or the redundant swiftness.

Elite: Supply Crate . . . It’s just cool baby! Any time I get to see more stuff on the screen, I’m happy! And mo’ healin’ and turrets!

Weapons: Pistol (With Sigil of Leeching) and Shield: Long Range attacks with some Great Counter Defensive abilities.
1. Explosive Shot: Long Range attack with application of AoE Bleeding on impact.
2. Poison Dart Volley: Decent single target damage that applies 8 seconds of Poison, which is 8 seconds -33% healing. Throw it at those pesky Guardians and Elementalists (who I love!)
3. Static Shot: Long Range multiple target Blind and Confusion! Nuff said.
4. Magnetic Shield: Reflect projectiles for 3 seconds and/or push foes back. C’mon!!
5. Static Shield: Stun attacker for 2 seconds, or throw shield to daze them! Who Else is throwing Shields in this game!!

The Kits: For the sake of brevity, I will try to supply brief overviews of each kit. The Kits will be found as the Engineer’s utility skills.

Tool Kit: Melee – Decent Damage and Defensive Opportunities with Gap Closer. Swapping to this kit bleeds and cripples foes, if it procs.
1. Smack-Whack-Thwack: Decent melee damage with a constant application of Vulnerability.
2. Box of Nails: Close range AoE Bleed and Cripple.
3. Pry Bar: 5 stack of confusion and decent melee Damage.
4. Gear Shield: 3 seconds of mobile immunity: Great for Charging in, or getting away with all that Swiftness.
5. Magnet: Long Range Gap Close. Pull that son of a gun right to you!

Flame Thrower: Decent mid-range Damage good for short range Kiting, with off the Global Cooldown AoE blind, and AoE knockback. Swapping to this kit Burns foes if it procs.
1. Flame Jet: Decent AoE damage, applies burning.
2. Flame Blast: Decent single target or AoE damage.
3. Air Blast: A very useful AoE knockback which also applies burning, and can also reflect projectiles.
4. Napalm: A ten second fire Combo Field. It has its time and place.
5. Smoke Vent: A really great AoE Blind, which is off the Global Cooldown. So ya got knocked down? Pop Smoke vent and avoid that big hit you’re anticipating.

Elixir Gun: Long Range low, but useful, damage, with Cripples, Condition Removal, Healing, which can all be applied AoE. Swapping to this Kit creates a Super Elixir if Kit Refinement Procs.
1. Tranquilizing Dart: Long Range attack that applies bleeding and weakness; also a Combo Field Finisher to remove Conditions when coupled with Super Elixir’s AoE.
2. Elixir F: Long Ranger AoE Cripple that gives Allies Swiftness.
3. Fumigate: AoE application of poison and vulnerability; and, AoE Condition Removal of Allies if you spray them.
4. Acid Bomb: Medium Gap Opener, Unblockable, that as a Combo Finisher gives AoE retaliation.
5. Super Elixir: Awesome ground targeting (toss it on a friend!) AoE heal, that also is a Light Combo Field which helps to Remove Conditions.

Tools: Provides an Increase to Tool Belt Recharge Rate, and a little bit of Extra Crit Damage which isn’t too bad with the 20% Crit Chance boost from Hidden Flask proccing Elixir B multiple times through out a fight.

Minor 5: Adrenaline Pump: Using Toolbelt Skills restores 10% of Endurance – as if the Engineer didn’t already have enough Dodge Rolling!

Minor 15: Inertial Converter: When your health reaches 25% Toolbelt skills recharge. More Buffs at 25% health, more healing!

Major 4: Kit Refinement: Equipping a kit creates an attack or spell. Getting a feel for when this Procs helps one swap to Elixir Gun and proc the Super Elixir, supplying more healing. Or, just sit back and watch the effects of it every few seconds as your swap from set to set, maybe Throw a Box of Nails, or explode with a rush of flames! Also, Kit Refinement works in Funny way: You can swap to Tool Kit and proc Box of Nails with the Kit Refinement trait, Crippling and Bleeding your foe, and then immediately swap to either Flame Thrower or Elixir Gun and Proc the effect off one of those.

Major 6: Speedy Kits: Gain 5 seconds of Swiftness when equipping a kit. 5 second cooldown. Well, there’s perm Swiftness, thus, perm Vigor because the Invigorating Speed trait. Wanna get away when a Fight gets too crazy? Just Run! their Swiftness will end before yours, or their gap close will be on cooldown, while your Swiftness never is. Just Cripple em, or Knock em back with one of your 2 AoE Knockbacks and Cripples; or use Acid Bomb to leap Away and then Run off into the sunset.
