While i love S/D it is still underperforming at the moment. My buffs for it would be (can pick more if 1 isnt enough):

- Flanking Strike has 260 range instead of 130
- enable Larcenous Strike when Flanking Strike gets blocked
- Larcenous Strike steals 2 boons or steals 1 boon still but hits max. 3 targets (max. 3 boons stolen – 1 from each target) and prioritize might and protection
- CnD AoE blinds on hit (trivial)
- reduce Infiltrator’s Return’s aftercast
- increase Dancing Dagger’s projectile speed and/or cripple duration (to 5s)
- increase Tactical Strike’s damage to hit as much as Crippling Strike and/or (if CnD gets AoE blind) change the front hit to 1s daze and hitting from behind to 1-2s stun

I know in BWE1 revenants couldn’t swap weapons so people asked for on weapon swap sigils to work on legend swap. But after that they added weapon swap to revenant.
At the moment revenants can actually get the benefits from 4 on weapon swap sigils on 10s cooldown if they change legend and then instantly change weapon set.

I know revenants will get nerfs, but i think they should also remove the on weapon swap sigils to work on legend swap and be in line with other professions in this part (max. 2 on weapon swap sigil proc every 10s).

@Fat Disgrace In the clips i havent used it unfortunately. I had clips where i instastomped people with it, but those had either reaally bad ppl / the clip was way too long and/or boring / didnt fit with the music :<

Since I didnt know you I sort of expected a kitten guy running around in WvW trying to gank scrubs. What I got instead was a really good roaming video of a guy with a ton of thief knowledge and that editing! If others put half as much time in making the song sync with the playstyle. All in all I’m quite impressed, and then it hit me. Your in the guild [Rekt] with the big guys. Afro is probably watching the video and smiling to himself saying “Dat mah boy, rekking wiv teef”

I wouldn’t say i have a ton of thief knowledge but i know every class enough to know what they can do so i can react. What i learned by playing thief is that you have to be patient with it or else you can die really fast.
Yeah i’ve put many hours into editing to make it more enjoyable and i’m glad you liked it!

Yeah as Inflames said you can do it with every teleport/instant skills. You can even teleport away with shortbow (the teleport is delayed a bit because its a projectile so you have time to start the stomp while the projectile is flying) and teleport back with steal/infiltrator’s signet/shadowstep. Blinding Powder is also an instant skill that can be used while stomping to aoe blind and get stealth.

I feel like I actually learned a lot just by watching that, I tried messing with S/D but I didn’t have much knowledge of how it works or what it’s capable of. I feel like I know a little more now =). Thanks for posting, was fun to watch.

S/D is harder to play than D/P and not that effective either, but it can be more fun to play if you know how to (but when i getting ganked too much i just change to D/P or even to my ranger). Its all about practice I’m glad you enjoyed!

I haven’t played thief after the June 23rd patch because they kind of killed the old S/D playstyle (and i disliked D/P), but i played some thief again now so here is a video of it.

Quick preview: this video is also D/P “heavy” but there are some S/D play too. As most people know after HoT thief is in a pretty bad spot (at least for SPvP) but i still think it’s pretty strong for WvW roaming, although you have to watch out and learn the new specs.
This video is kind of similar to the last one as i used quick fights, because they fit the music and edit that i do (and it also fits the “thief/assassin kind of playstyle”).

So atm im on Piken Square and there are plenty of roamers on our server, but the enemy servers we get have none of them, so its not fun to fight against them. Last time i had fun roaming was when we were against T1 servers (like SFR, FSP, Deso).

I would like to transfer to either FSP or Deso (or SFR but thats not possible atm because its full :<) in the future, but i dont know what server would be better, and most importantly, i would like to join a roaming guild too if i transfer. I would like to hear opinions about both server’s roaming and about roaming guilds that i could join.

I thought about using QZ, but instead of Signet of Stone. Actually in practice i rarely used the active, im mostly using it for the passive toughness. My armor is rather high and i can kite well too, so maybe i will try it out.

Personally I feel I get much better mileage out of the Beastmastery trait line than skirmishing. Taunt is very good. It’s anti stealth. It peels for you. It lets you land even more damage with LB before enemies can get in to melee range. It makes your opponent target your pet, meaning that even if they break stun they still have to retarget you before they can start dpsing. You can interrupt heals. Interrupt res attempts. You can pull players out of their block. Just so much play to it.

I know that taunt is really good, but i just love Skirmishing. That traitline gives me the perma swiftness in combat (helps with Fury too), gives +9% crit chance (it is needed because of the low crit chance without it) and i dont want to sacrifice QD (that double Swoop or Point Blank Shot).

Final note. When stealth stomping rangers. A rangers down state daze is aoe. They can still target your pet, cast it, and daze you because you’re standing right next to eachother. Watch for the cast animation, and then swap pets. If you time it right the downed ranger loses target, but casts anyway, meaning the spell hits nothing and no one. You get to finish your stomp.

Yeah that’s what i was looking for, going to try it. First i thought about targeting a far away mob and command the pet to attack it, but there aren’t mobs everywhere (or using the Raven to blind the ranger).

So i started playing ranger in wvw some days ago and made a (partly) ranger video about it (the first half is warrior gameplay). I would like to get some feedback on the video and playstyle.

The things i know that i should improve are (playstyle):
- Pet management and skill usage (i dont really watch out for the pet atm)
- positioning (no piercing LB)
- stomping behind pet for classes that have projectile interrupt (like warrior/engineer)

The main purpose of Crusader that I have found is specifically in conjunction with INT sigils on builds that have very little to no precision at all. If feroc was removed and prec added to Crusader, I believe most builds that actually use Crusader, would lose most of their DPS burst actually.

I agree with this. Also if you slot Air or Fire sigil it has a high chance that it will proc on that 3 crit for more burst damage.

Im using this amulet on my GS/LB warrior and it is quite good with Int/Air sigil on GS (changing to GS before Arcing Arrow lands + Arcing Slice for example). With Pack Runes and Arcing Slice (if it hits) you have a high Fury uptime (30% crit chance overall with Fury) so its still not bad.

I think Crusader Amulet is good as it is now for some interesting builds.

These stack now? It used to be that the highest bonus prevailed (like speed buffs), rather than stacking.

From my “tests” they are stacking, with both buffs up i had like 6s recharge (was 5.5 probably because 90% regen, i was just counting in my head) instead of 10s.

GS/LB Warrior with Cavalier and Valkyrie stats. It got high HP and Toughness, high Power and Crit Damage, but no Precision (with Fury you have 30% crit chance but its not that high). Thats why im using the Intelligence sigil on GS. Your main burst comes from Arcing Arrow and before it lands you change to GS for sigil proc

Its condition cleanse is rather good with Cleansing Ire + Longbow + Brawler’s Recovery. Against condition classes i use Signet of Stamina, Berserker’s Stance and Shake It Off.

The only mobility you get is from passive speed (+ Swiftness proc from rune or elite signet if you use it) and Greatsword skills. You dont have any hard CC, only the immobilize from Longbow.

If you change a stance to Signet of Stamina and you use the Bowl of Orrian Truffle and Meat Stew food (+40% endurance regen) + Building Momentum you can get many dodges.

For elite skill i use Rampage, but the signet can also be good (i use the signet for duels)
At the moment Berserker’s Power trait is bugged with LB, so LB burst skill will not proc it, so it means if they fix it, you will get even more damage.

It gets countered by power rangers (only if they go more defensive with stats and traits), good D/D and S/F eles and condi mesmers are also hard to deal with.

Edit: i use the Signet of Stamina in roaming instead of Balanced Stance most of the time nowadays.

My keybinds are:

e/r/t/f/g : Weapon skills (in this order)
q/Mouse 1-3 : Profession skills (in this order, so only q for steal)
Mouse Wheel Click : Weapon swap
Mouse Wheel Right : Dodge

So it means with 30% boon rate (if you use full acro trait line) the Bowl Of Orrian Truffle and Meat Stew will give you 1 stack might for 6.5s/dodge and nothing else (because you have permanent vigor with Withdraw and Bountiful Theft).

Personally i use Omnomberry Pie (325 lifesteal (you get 325 hp and the enemy loses 325 hp) on crit + 70 precision), i think it fits S/D acro thief perfectly.

I’ve put some defensive stats with the armor (when i tried S/D first), probably i could change to full zerk by now, but that extra hp and toughness saved me many times.

For runes i think Superior Rune of the Pack is just superior for S/D thief, it gives extra 125 precision and with Thrill of Crime you have 100% fury and swiftness uptime in fights.
For sigils i choosed air/fire on S/D for that extra burst and air/bloodlust on SB. On SB you can change sigils, i use air for a bit more ranged pressure and bloodlust, because S/D got really high mobility, so i rarely die (if you use bloodlust sigil on a land weapon, dont forget to put one on an underwater weapon too to not lose your stacks).

Foods can be changed too, i just like omnomberry pies for the life leech and added precision.

For traits as Turk said the most viable one is 2/0/0/6/6. On the Acrobatics trait line you can change traits, most players i think use Power of Inertia instead of Hard To Catch. It saved me many times from bursts, like i got teleported away from an incoming backstab (Black Powder triggered it with Basilisk Venom, or same with CnD), but it can put you in a worse position too (For example a mesmer puts chaos storm on you while you are in shadow refuge and daze procs, so you get teleported out. Thats why i dodge as much as i can in shadow refuge if enemies are trying to bomb on it).

13/19, got some duplicates, still missing axe, pistol, sword, warhorn, staff and spear. Doing fractals for like 10 months or so. But i got the tonic which is nice.

I think i found a way to stomp. If you get this bug just stop pressing the right mouse button and you will be able to stomp. (At least it helped me. Oh and havent tried it with DS)

I hate conditions too and i wont change to condition mesmer neither. Shatter is just so much fun to play. When i will meet a condi mesmer i will just /laugh and walk away (even if i could kill them).

Because shatter is fun and fast paced (you can change the maintenance oil for sharpening stone if you got 25 stacks from perception sigil)

@OP Actually if you use Naga 2014, you can move the scroll left and right too, means 2 more buttons you can bind. Personally i binded dodge on right and heal on left.

Hi, my problem is that i want to transmute CoF armor skin to an (already transmuted) armor piece using the Transmutation Crystal. Both items are souldbound to this character, but i can’t drag the second item to the transmutation window (they have the same type and weight). Tried with both to drag an account bound item as second armor and i could do this without any problem. So i think the problem is that both armors are soulbound. I dont know if this is a bug or not, if not then i want to get some help, how to do this. (Made 2 screenshots, attached)
