I didnt record so you’d be missing atleast one perspective. I may try and get something sorted for recording, ready for the next time though.
Well, if I went with the split screen method trying to fit all five perspectives into one screen would be a bit tricky, so it’s all good. Still, the more the merrier, so if your computer can handle it without dropping the frame rates too low by all means do record. Besides, being able to watch your own gameplay makes it easier for you to improve
So, do you mind if I give it a try Bas, or would you prefer to do all the editing for the SOAC channel? After failing commentating miserably for a couple of hours I’m sure I’d love to take a break in form of being quiet and editing something :P

I’m not home atm, but I should be able to upload the footage later today or early tomorrow.
I’ll try to edit (and commentate, which honestly is a nightmare with my pronunciation) some of the earlier and probably the newer footage as well during the weekend, and I could also try making a combined perspective video while at it if you’d like. Basically, I could edit together everyone’s footage into one video either by scaling each clip small enough so that I show all of them simultaneously or by moving from player to player based on where the action is.
I’m not sure how well it would actually work, but it might be fun.

Sounds fun. I think I remember having one of those revive orbs somewhere…
EU will be on at a totally different time that works for you guys. I am just putting one sign up since it’s both sides.
Well, count me in for the other times as well then!
I can now confirm I will indeed be coming! Also, your time zone logic could well be the correct one, I’m definitely not an expert here. It doesn’t matter anyway so long as everyone turns up at more or less the right time
Pity S/D no longer makes you special.. Still, I’ve used it since BWEs and I’m not going to stop now
I should be able to come, but I’m not 100% sure. Still, I’ll be there if I can.
Also, about those times Flow, having done the math again I’m not sure where I went wrong. Due to daylight saving time Finland goes from +2 GTM to +3 GTM. 7.00 pm +1 GTM should therefore be 7 + 2 = 9 pm for me, yet that didn’t seem to be the case last time. Am I missing something obvious here?
Maybe you could post your current time here? I could figure out the correct difference based on the time on your post and the time it was posted.
IGN: Yski Deathleaf
Day Available: Saturday – Thursday would be 4.30 am Friday for me (assuming I didn’t fail basic addition again) and school starts at 8.00 am!
Record Capability: Awesome!
EU or NA: EU
Wait, what? I want more details! Basically, how exactly is this done?
For the record, I remember going down there during the beta. You need a friend with a personal story instance to do this though. First you jump down and die, your friend enters his story and takes you with him. While there you are resurrected, so when you leave the instance you’ll be down on the bottom again, but alive
After that everyone can jump down for you to ress – We had like 10 people down there at some point
How about the sylvari root? I saw a glass cannon necro using that before and it seemed to work well.
Wait, since when has crit chance not worked well with condition builds? It combines nicely with Barbed Precision and Sigil of Earth.
Considering how terrible my gameplay was, I think I’ll do a “this is what I did wrong” video. You people know I love pointing out mistakes and mine are no exception.
The only excuse I have is the late-ish time; my amazing skills degrade rapidly after 9pm :P
Well, that was pretty awesome, though I feel we still didn’t quite get the hang of it. Can’t wait to see the next time! Talking about next time, any ideas on time?
Also, what about the footage? I have like 25 GB of necro awesomeness just waiting to be edited, so do we want to combine everyone’s footage into one video or have multiple separate videos?
..I should probably take a look at those compressing options, but then again I suddenly have plenty of memory space so it doesn’t really matter. Used to working on 200GB total..
EDIT: Also, having looked at my footage it appears my own voice wasn’t recorded. Not a big deal, but good thing I noticed it now so I can fix the setting by the time we’re ready for another

Count me in for 7-8 pm. I’m not sure how, but somehow I managed to arrive at the conclusion there are 3 hours between 7 and 9. I’m supposed to be good at math!
It should be doable for me unless I’ve forgotten something, though I’d prefer a weekend.
I sort of have school from 8.00 to 15.30 (+ 5 km walk both ways) and plenty of homework so trying to squeeze in 3 hours of gaming is a bit tricky. Still, if that’s the best time for others it’s manageable

I’m building a new computer in Saturday, so I should be able to record. GTM +3 here and for the record, daylight saving time is confusing when trying to recall how those timezones went!
I wonder if there’s food that gives + daze duration? If rune and sigil give +48% it wouldn’t take much to get it above 50% for a 5 second daze.
And zerker well builds definitely aren’t bad even for tPvP, though to really make them shine your teams needs to be built around keeping you alive. I hear things like time warp + lich form can wipe entire teams pretty quickly
Sounds awesome. Pity you people are NA though, I’d love to join. Oh well ( no pun intented, I’m a power&well build :P ), I’m off to slaughter some guardians. Make sure to record that thing!
1. Human brain uses about 20% of the energy a human uses. Since asura have larger heads I’d say the energy consumption is also larger, so probably something between 20-35% of the whole energy consumption of a human body.
4. We have no official lore on this, but since they are subterranean they would’ve adapted to seeing when there is little to no light present. One explanation is that if their eyes work similarly to ours they could use red light sources to see in the dark as it doesn’t destroy the visual purple used for dark vision. Alternatively they might be able to see infrared light to some degree and seeing red came with that ability.
It’s possible and happens all the time. I hit DS, as a warrior charges it knocks me out of it. It has happened against any knockdown or daze, and only happens if you activate it and it hasn’t fully swapped your skills before getting hit.
I suppose I’ll take back my doubts, then. OP’s DS could’ve been interrupted, though it would’ve taken inhuman reflexes or amazing luck.
I find it weird I never noticed it myself though. Can the skills in DS be used before they are properly swapped? Usually when I try to avoid a spike I use the fear more or less at the same time as I enter DS, so maybe I’ve interrupted the potential interrupt. If so, fearing as you enter DS might be a good idea just to be sure you actually stay in DS
..I’ll test that, actually
EDIT: Seems like you can, so that means you could interrupt before getting interrupted. I entered the DS hitting 3 right after the DS button (bound to < for me) and the icon appeared on cooldown as soon as it, well, appeared. My recording FPS is poor so I can’t be 100% sure not being able to slow things down, but based on a glance it seems to work.

How about this helm? http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Shadow_armor
It’s my personal favorite and only costs like 10 silver
It’s also possible to fail if you get stun/dazed/cced in general at around the same time as you hit f1. But that is very very rare because timing has to be almost exact.
Are you sure about that? DS is instant cast, so it shouldn’t be possible to interrupt it. I mean, it can be used while you’re stunned so getting stunned right before it shouldn’t matter and it’s physically impossible to get stunned during the cast time since it doesn’t have one.
OP: I’d say you probably hit the key twice. I can’t really think of any other explanation
