Why was this type of stuff put in the game based on RNG? You call yourselves developers? Was this mutually agreed upon and nodded on in some conference room over at arenanet? Did you really think RNG would sit well with the playerbase?

See if they put stuff in those coffers that other coffers don’t have, THEN they’d be even more greedy. At least this way people who don’t spend money have a chance at weapon skins.

Farm Corrupted Lodestones in Frostgorge. It’s the only Gold farm i did while i made my Sunrise. 4-7g an hour depending on luck.

Hey guys. A couple months ago i finished my Legendary Greatsword Sunrise and since then i haven’t really had any real goal. I’ve just been wasting money on Coffers, useless, skins, etc. Today i’ve decided i wanted to spend a bit of gold and throw 210 rare Shortbows into the MF in attempts for lover. (+the attempts from throwing in my rares i make from it) I’d assume it will end up being about 60 attempts and i’m going to post my results here!

I have my buy orders placed and im just waiting for them to be filled. This will probably take place tonight because i had to order a lot of rare short bows honestly.

Anyways guys, wish me luck for tonight MAY THE RNG GODS BE WITH ME!

For some reason today i was playing WvW and then i disconnected. Ever since then, whenever i go into Guild Wars, if i manage to connect i have TERRIBLE lag. I can’t play. I’m skipping around the map, cant cast skills and it’s unplayable now. I can’t seem to figure out why! Seems only some people are having this problem! Anet! A word please

No matter how many people you get to help, you’ll all still be working the same amount of time as if you had done it solo or just farmed together but kept the loot for yourself.

Finishing stuff fast is awesome though. Keeps you motivated. It’s an idea i have and im gonna try and i think if i can find 2 or 3 more people. It will go smoothly

Except those who are near the end of the list who bear all of the risk of not getting it done with the group so those at the beginning can have their legendary earlier. Much less risk to do it together and not pool loot.

And what incentive is there for those at the end of the list to get theirs to stay with the group when they can get their legendary at about the same time solo?

So lets say a legendary takes 1000 hours to make (just a random number) and you have 10 people working on it. It would take 100 hours to complete. You need to make 10 of them though, taking 1000 hours.

You might say that farming in a group will speed things up and I agree, but it would speed things up equally if everyone was working on their own items and farming together.

I don’t get it other than as a scheme of some sort.

1000 Hours? Im nearly done mine and ive spent 400. Clearly people here dont know that teamwork DOES actually exist out there. Just gotta find it.

You’ll get the same reaction anywhere you post. The idea to form a guild and go for one legendary at a time is horribly flawed. It just won’t work with random people.

You’re better off doing what I and others suggested and forming a guild where everyone works towards their own legendary together.

Doing something awesome isn’t easy. Of course it’s going to be hard. I already have 4 people though that i know and trust. Wont be too hard to find a couple more. Please keep your ideas that it wont work to yourself.

Glitch, take into consideration, this was NOT my idea. It my friend Samuels. I think it is a good idea. Like i said, it WILL be hard to find members for this, that is the main problem with it. Who gets theirs next will be decided using a RNG. The only issue is the people. Which no one here is helping with. I’ll find a group though. Reddit would probably hold better results. Forums mods can close this thread. Useless responses and unconstuctive results.

Heyyyo, Blurry here. Me and my friend have an idea. I’ve been grinding away at my legendary for over 2 months now. The grind is slow and painful, but i slowly approach my goal. How about we make this process easier. Not just for me, but for everyone!

I want to make a guild with 5-10 people. The entire guild is dedicated to making legendaries for the members. Here is an example. Player x needs his legendary. Players w,y,z help him till he is complete. Through mats, gold, etc. Now i see problems with this. People will not be happy if it’s not their turn. That’s why i want DEDICATED people to do this. Those who are willing to help for help in the future. Think about it! A legendary with one dedicated person takes 3-4 months to complete. With 10 people the work is divided. This now becomes a 2 week task! If i can find the right people for this, just imagine how fast we could get stuff done! But remember! This is 100% help. Giving the person every mat, every gold you make, everything till the legendary is achieved. If you are interested, please message me. I would really like 5-10 people who are absolutely dedicated to this! Thanks guys! Blurry out!

Hey guys! Blurry here with a request to all my fellow Guild Wars 2 players! I’m coming scarily close to finishing my Sunrise! All i need is the Gift of Magic, the way i want to get the Powerful blood and Elaborate totems is through the mystic forge so i’m coming here asking for any help i can get. To make these mats through the forge you need alot of the T5 Mats. So in my case i need Potent Blood and Intricate totems. I know a lot of people have these lying around so i was wondering if you guys could help me out by throwing a few over to me. Please help me finish my Legendary! Literally any donation is appreciated guys and will get me that BIT closer to my Sunrise!

So you want a GM at every possible farm spot on every possible server? Good luck. Even one guy patrolling these areas would be prohibitively expensive in terms of man-hours. If the entire GW2 team was on bot duty, they still won’t have the manpower to handle all bots. The only way to do this properly is by having a good community effort in people reporting these guys.

On the more cost-effective side, a.net develops automated bans. In general this would need to check many reports, actually in the range of hundreds to eliminate false positives. Next patterns have to be found to prove this is actually a bot and not a legit player farming his kitten off. These patterns could be crazy names and no guild, however bots are starting to circumvent those patterns. Because of that, instant bans aren’t possible because good patterns would be known immediately. Thusly, bots are banned in huge waves once every few weeks.

This means you will keep seeing the same bot for a few weeks before he gets banned along with 10 000 of his other friends. All transactions have to be tracked so gold buyers are also banned but not legit players.

If only you’d imagine the scope of the game, and not just the scope of one player reporting one bot, you will realize this is slightly more complicated than you may think.

Not in every area, a few on every server. If it works so well for other games, why not on this one? Why is it such a bad idea for Guild Wars?

Hey guys, it’s Blurry again. Coming at you today with a suggestion that i think is absolutely necessary.

We all know there is a huge issues with botting in the game. Botting this, botting that, botting here, botting there, botting EVERYWHERE. Well today i was trying to farm for Corrupted Lodestones and i was finding it VERY hard to because there were 4 bots there with speedhacks getting to the enemies before me and killing them. They have been there for 2 days no with nothing being done to them. I was thinking to myself, how could we bots out of an area within a hour or so? It hit me! Every other MMO has GM’s (Game Masters) that you can call to a problem and they will do their best to fix it. An example. I remember a while ago i was playing Final Fantasy Online, i was young and swearing at other players. Within MINUTES a GM teleported me to a private area and gave me a warning and had a 1 on 1 talk with me. I was scared to ever do it again.
So how about we apply that to this game? But in this way instead. We find a bot or a pack of bots in an area. We call the GM, he comes, looks at the situation and decides whether to back right there. Now i now sometimes it would be hard to tell. But when bots have speed hacks it is 100% obvious that they’re hacking and botting. So. If the players were found to be bots, the GM would remove them from the game, terminate their account and VOILA bot free zone within the hour!

If you all would, i’d like you all to say “I support this idea” in the comments if you like the idea. Lets get rid of bots and get some GM’s and make ArenaNet hear us!

Id like to give you my two cents, but i have no clue what you are saying..

So my support ticket status has changed from unresolved to updated. This happened 27 hours ago and i still have not heard a single word from Anet as to what is going on. I have not even got a message saying my ticket has escalated. It has been 4 days since i submitted my ticket and i would like to know what they did to make the ticket updated, since i feel they have not done anything yet.
