I was having a problem with “Illusionary Leap” not activating, finally traced it to this trait, its activating like a normal skill on top of the phantasm skill that’s activating it, in essence 2 skill going at the same time and so preventing any other skill activation. Was thinking this was a bug and that it should activate passively.
Proposed Med Kit Changes.
I’v run an engineer off and on for quite some time, find the class to be fun and versatile. Used the med kit extensivly finding it very nice for solo in pve and pvp, access to some speed, fury and might, was a good way to set up for fights or just get around.
The recent changes have put it into a peculiar place, many of the changes I feel are good, but over all it is very clunky to use and the base healing doesn’t feel as strong as it use to be, but that could be in the targeting of it now. its very easy to run by one, even placing them in front you if your to close they wont be ready and you run through them. kiting is a real pain while trying to use this kit as it is now.
Changes I think would help.
1: Give ability’s 2-5 a radius of at least 150-240, make them aoe affecting 3-5 players. Don’t mind the cast time, with an aoe field to plan from I think players will adjust to it and wont have problems landing the heals.
2: Give the F1 ability protection and maybe increase the base heal a bit.
3: Originally I was thinking some water fields, but changed my mind on that, I feel that keeping those with just the healing turret would give that a good option for group play while allowing our kit to have some strong group play also with out nudging out the turret.
I had an experience leveling up a new engineer, was in Queansdale, the champ wasp was spawned and a guard was fighting it, decided to see how effective the healing kit could be, he was less then 20% health when i showed up, I tried it out on him. Honestly it could be a nice kit except most of my healing effort was in vain, many time my tossed stuff missed him and I don’t think he seen them, over half of what I could have maybe done for him never landed on target and if he had not used his own heals I would have not kept him up.
With a few changes this kit would be nice, and could even compeat with healing turet for group play.
Please make some adjustment here.

agree 100%, put some kind of range indicator on this, its very frustrating to waste the cool down because you have traveled 2 steps out side the range.
also I would like that it simply would not activate if your out side the range or it sets up the second portal at the maximum distance from the first one. although I think I would prefer that it wouldn’t activate and you get a warning about the range. but dose not blow the cool down.
I relay hope they intend to update some of these things, the tp window and the crafting window realy need it, the options you have to filter are limited. and finding any thing by trying to search for its particular group can be a nitemare.
food is the same way, search consumables, food and you get alcholic beverages and not foods.
I actualy have filed several bug reports on the weapon upgraedes, sigil option but it has not been fixed yet. hoping they will add a new group for accessorys and move the weapons one where they beolong for easier sorting when using the filter.
As buter above said, google sigils and use the wiki, its actualy perty informative on many things and is usualy the place I go for crafting even, its been fairly up to date and acurate. Will be much easier finding what your looking for if you know what item you want in advance, and can then use the search function to find it by name.
Same, I hate that the lists are all open.
1: Closed by default. just makes things easier to find when you only have catagories showing.
2: A “colapse / open all” buton. perty comon function for a window that has lots of information in it grouped into catagories.
3: Memory. why wont the window remember its last seting, if it resets when i close it, ok I can live with that, but at least give it some short tearm memory so I can switch to the bank tab and back again with out it reseting.
most of this stuff is perty standard and I think people just look and expect it, im surprised they didnt add these functions and realy hope that will change.
if any thing I would at least like to see #2 implemented so I can quickly colapse the lists.
That works if you are swaping one for one, both being two handed, but when you swap a two handed with 2 one handed weapons the off hand weapon moves to the top of your inventory, while the main hand swaps places with the one you switched it out for.
I ended up slavaging a torch I used because of this, was while lvling up so wasnt a big loss but still kind of annoying when you go to switch to some thing and you no longer have it.
the simple solution would be to have any off hand weapons that are not swaping directly with another weapon go to the botom of your inventory, every thing I want to keep I always move there any ways, my hiden bags are all on the botom and even if they are full it would most likly keep it seperated from stuff you are just finding.
or have it move the the nearest available slot closest to the weapon you swaped it with. in case some people organize there inventory a bit different, keeping there safe bags up top or some thing.
I agree, they did a great job on the event, lions arch looks good and the event have been entertaining, hav’nt loged in for this third part yet so hope its not to bugy but regardless I give it an A for effort. looking forward to the christmas stuff.

I had an acurance once where recipies vanished, not shure how or why and the filtering options had no effect, had only hapened once so far and required restarting to get my full list back, every thing from master on just disapeared.
I’m some what knew to guardian, just hiting the lvl 40 mark, and was looking at the heals my self, came here to see what people had to say about them and this quote realy sums it up in my opinion.

As this heal sits now I wont spend any points on it, and as a developer why even put this in here, If you ask the question “why would some one use this”, you would have to conclude “they will not use it”, it is inferiour to the other heals.
The way to fix this cold be having racial skills on there own ability buton, like f5 and leting the players determine what they want to use, but as it stands now using this would be like using under lvld gear when I have proper gear. and thats just not going to hapen.

It ocured to me after writing this that we already have a racial slot in f4, and as a racial skill this would be beter serverd being moved there, then you have the option of using it as added healing, or some thing else for whatever it brings to the table.

Came here to see what was “game breaking” and find some one who only mined 3 items form a suposed “rich ore”.
This is a minor bug, and im shure will get adressed when they know about it and have time, but it is not game breaking.
next time just file a bug report.
I’ve had problems when fighting and killing some thing and instantly engaging another mob, but I’m perty shure in my case its player related, I’m actualy engaging the skill my self, just hav’nt woried enough to realy test it out.
I would say though if you actualy drop target and your still auto attacking, that sounds like some kind of bug, I hav’nt experienced any thing like that, when I drop a target my character will stop attacking.
I would test it out in some normal mobs and see if that is hapening, if so report it, and maybe take it to the technicle suport section to see if you can get some help.
I agree also, there are already gold sinks in the game, at first I didnt like the price for up grading character and account stuff, but now I think its a good idea, gives soem thing to spend that gold on.
But in wvw it starts to realy feel like to much of a chore, I have to stop fighting and try to make some silver to make shure I’m not going to be loosing money by partaking in wvw.
One thing I’v noticed and iritates me is not geting drops, either from mobs, and especialy form player or faction npc’s. You should always get some thing in those cases and up drops from mobs.
Honestly though I dont think that pvp should be one of the gold sinks, removing loot all together and the repair damage mechanic might be a good thiing to do, we go there to fight and have fun. Reward us in other ways for the combat.

I believe during the betas we had class froums here, puting every thing into one forum section is to much in one place.
Are the forums still a work in progress? hope to see some soon, hate trying to look for class specific information under one single forum.
There is an option at character select to do this, you can access the friends list there, uper left just like in game, not shure if it shows you in game as loged on but only by your acount name or not untill you set it to invisible.
they need to change it back so if I log out invisible that remains when I log back in and stays that way untill I choose to change it.
