+1. Templates wouldn’t be hard, maybe they are putting that into the expansion with all of the other ideas that were straight forward and seemingly basic implementations that were supposed to be added “soon”.

I very much agree. I kinda understand how we have to be in the mist because of world loading screens can be very long for some, but since when are pvp map loading screens long enough to break the required time limit for a game? I don’t believe it personally. I miss duels inbetween games.

Further, I have had a total of 2 good games since the patch. You can only beat what’s in front of you, and all of us can agree we won’t improve/evolve without competition.

I currently am looking for a hardcore pvp guild with experienced players. I can player roughly everyday off the week from 6-10pm Pacific time. I main sd thief and have been playing it in gvgs for guilds such as syn/hope/ep. I use to main ele and I have 6 level 80s (necro thief mesmer warrior ele guard) I can play all of them fairly well. My elementalists name was northern owl and my thievs name is Atheeria. I would greatly appreciate an opportunity or try out for the team.

Same, i can’t solo in unrank or rank matches without getting the network error. However, if I am in a team and get a queue invite I can play.

Courtyard is a blast, with a coordinated team it can be really rewarding. Must have played it 5 times after the patch in ranked. Yes plz, keep eeeeeet.

Make those who have multiple Llamas, the ability to show multiple pets at once. I.E. I have 3 or so, I can have 3 follow me around. Caramel has 4, he has a herd. Let us PvP’rs have our “ultimate pvp only” rewards for wining tourney games by showing off our leet pets. The more Llamas you have, the more street cred. PvE better recognize.

Thanks Teeeeefy, good luck with your team. We are always open to top quality players filling in, but the team is kinda set at this point. However, as our members have diverse schedules, we can’t all possibly make it to tournaments with the full roster, because of this we do take subs. This was shown Sunday when we only had 3/5 regular members for the Go4 cup. Valor has been busy and hasn’t updated the title of the thread

In summary, we are full but will find sub space for talented individuals so we don’t have to scramble to fill roster regulations for tournaments.

Quality guard and very chill person. Great pick up for anyone!

Good player, I have played many matches with this Frenchie. Eager to learn and he can multi-class, but what really makes him stand out is his motorboat.

He has a open mind and I have yet to see him lose his calm or become toxic to any team, a positive presence throughout. Good pick up for anyone!

Yes, I have been experiencing it as of late as well. Makes playing rather challenging.

This bug is really annoying. If you jump dodge enough it happens frequently. It’s like Anet panic strikes you for a laugh in the middle of a team fight to ensure your death…..

Someone better check on Olrun, the way he was yelling out ESPORTS, people might think he has developed Tourettes.

Good implementation, hopefully this will kick up the competition on NA.

I have communicated with multiple individuals about creating a team, the process has started, let’s have some fun.

We are rather chill, but blunt people that enjoy the game while trying to reach set goals. We don’t have large egos and take pride in flying under the radar while still beating good teams with pick ups.

Some recent background on us:

Participating in weekly 2v2s, placing 3rd while being one of, if not the first team to knockout Nos and Backpack (we have never practiced to this day, but that will change with esports INC).

Lost to Envy (great guys) 2-1 in a competitive fashion with a thrown together team that only practiced once before the ToG.

We want to break the trend and create a team for the long haul.

Blacklisted WTS Mishap with Screenshots+ VOD

• Both teams rubberbanded at the start of the match and the match was reset.
• Game two: Collateral takes the match with both Eura and Hans starting to have connection issues

• Hans is disconnecting before the match starts at approximately 3:38 PM (stream time)
• According to the screenshot Defektive calls out in map chat that Hans is disconnecting at both 3:38 PM (stream time) and right when it turns 3:39 PM.
• According to the VOD at around 43 minutes at 38 seconds BLU realizes Hans is standing in the base and mentions that he is likely disconnecting. The Match timer is 14:40 which means it is 20 seconds into the match when Blu realizes what may be happening.
  Hans kept disconnecting ( He attempted to connect 3 times according to the screenshot)
  NOTE: Hans is still in TS the whole time and he says he cannot reconnect to the game because it is full (which is an entirely different problem, but I won’t discuss that here)
• According to the screenshots, approximately 3 minutes pass before it is addressed

• Lack of consistent and enforced rules regarding disconnects
• Equal respect for ALL teams involved (Just watch the following game. How many times was that reset?)
• Some sort of feature to put the game on hold while people reconnect (See Dota2)

This is just sad. I hope future countermeasures are added to avoid a repeat.

I don’t understand how anyone can say (with a straight face) that Anet doesn’t have a DC and lag issue as of late. I realize the outcome of the Tourney involved (in theory or reality) a issue different to Anet server side connectivity valid or invalid, but it is really bad regardless, it happens daily and yet this is something that remains unresolved. For most of us it is our only game mode.

I don’t think it is too much to ask for, to be able to play our limited game mode in relative peace.

Has Anet looked into starting a PvP newsletter type system where you simply check or uncheck an accessible box of options that allows in game mail (or even on screen messages) about upcoming tourneys including who, what, where yada yada?

I am not one to read a lot of threads for the simple purpose of keeping myself positive through the sea of negativity, so I could have missed this concept if brought up previously.

Why did I have to hear “Scarlets minions are attacking!” 100000x times, but have yet to see a single in game shout out to a tournament (or see advertisements in the black lion trading post) Or really anything to utilize the tens of thousands of players constantly logged into the game every day to watch your tournaments.

Why are we not sending out more press releases to places like kokatu, ign and mmorpg.com (I do remember seeing some mmorpg postings a while back for tournaments, but it’s been a while).

We constantly are told “The forums only represent a small fraction of the playerbase” and then for events the dev’s hand us a small forum announcement that goes away after you switch pages once.

I feel like most of this is common sense, and should be standard, and because of that, I can understand Eura’s frustration.

After playing against your team and interacting with you and others afterwards, I couldn’t help but feel hope for the pvp community even if that is naive.

It was refreshing to interact with individuals that are positive, unbias, with hints of humor (Defektive as well).

Small moments of clarity, often caused by the actions of others, allow us to follow positive examples from the few rather than the negative from the populous.

Hey Ascii, been playing a build quite similar to yours prior and throughout leagues. I have a carbon copy of your original gear set up, as well as a full pvt+vampirism runes for situations that require alot of survivability, and i like how both play out so far. Usually use your gear for open field fights for a little more DPS output, and PVT for keep/enclosed combat where i am eating alot of dps – a little more of a front liner feel.

What are your thoughts in a 0/20/0/20/30 build, dropping the points in death magic and a little DPS from condi’s+stat bonus to power for the 30 in soul reaping? I’ve played this build for the last little bit and i really like it. Here’s the build, and my thoughts around it:

1) In big zerg fights i have no problem hitting 4-5 people with my marks, which im basically using as filler DPS and to tag for my restoration sigil.
2) The minors in that tree are god aweful. bone fiend looks like a skinned cat that does nothing and i dont care at ALL for toughness w/ minions.
3) I understand you are losing 250 toughness by not going into death magic. But by going into soul reaping, you are getting better life force regen, spectral armor (stun break which is nice) and a flat out dps increase when ranging your wells/marks.
4) Piercing life blast, stability on DS, and DS cooldown (still not sure if i love FiTG, no stun breaker makes it pretty hard to use but still pretty good)
5) +30% crit damage.

I find piercing life blasts can be a nice addition to your DPS in big fights. The play style is a little different as you are utilizing your DS in compensation for straight up toughness.

Not sure if anybody else in this thread proposed or discussed this build so sorry if this is redundant.

Oddly enough, this is the exact build, including gear and traits that I use (except for I switch out to path of midnight in DS when I don’t snipe). I love the build and with the right playstyle you can be in the thick of things and be one of the last one standing.

Lost a kittenload of respect for JQ today, namely [SG]. STUN and RET actually ended up having to abandon the new GvG arena because we had a bunch of SG guildies jumping into every round, and harrasing our stacks before it had even started.

I guess we have to stick with the windmill because people can’t grow the kitten up.

Ok, personally, I would never interrupt a GvG myself, but does it really seem like such a good idea to immediately go GvG in the absolutely brand new arena, open to the public? Even if it wasn’t SG, you know you would likely have random PuGs running in and messing with the match simply because it’s new content.

Why not wait a little for it to cool down, wait for people to get bored of the new zone, and then schedule your GvGs? Not meant to be trolling at all, just a bit of friendly advice.

Edit: Just as an aside, I’m not defending SG here, I don’t agree with what they did at all.

I just crafted Titans Vengance. I am more than aware of previous posts of Titans Vengance and the apparent lack of particle effects. I am wonder if anyone has EVER received an official response from Anet to answer the “supposed” bug on the lack of particles? I have read previous posts, yet never once had a clarification. It would be nice to know!

Never seen so much complaining in my life. Learn to play against each class and you’ll find something to counter them with. Opportunity cost comes with every class, especially glass cannon thieves who have 15k hp. Yes there are broken parts in the game, but you are ignorant if you think Thieves are the only class that benefit. Stop QQ’n and learn to counter.
