GTX 660 ti bad performance

No that fps is perfectly fine.
Check ur CPU and GPU usuage ..if ur GPU is not maxing out then its simply down to GW2’s single thread performance.
Even the latest Intel CPU’s OC’d to 4.5ghz will bottleneck on single thread workloads (not per core) so even when the CPU indicated say 50% usuage .it will likely be running those single GW2 threads as fast as it can and thus u will notice a drop in FPS becouse the GPU is waiting on the CPU.

Hope this explains it. There is more to it but takes a while to type out all the info lol.

lol i think you did a pretty good job summarizing it haha. I couldnt have done it.

Im using an older GeForce 8600 GT. I bought the GTX 650 ti, but think my M/B is too old for it.. so I see the 50 fps too, but have little to no frame lag and only very rare and slight server lag (running dual core AMDs though)

Might want to try this thread —--> https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/FPS-and-Performance-based-issues-1

Some pretty good suggestions. hope it helps

[Sent this in the ticket stub per the thread creators request. Reposted here for clarity and assistance to others]

I receive error code: 7:1000:7006:375 when I try to login to the game.

Answers to your questions from the tech forum:
—————————————————————————
[*]If you have a game account for the original Guild Wars, can you play it?
- I do have an account from but I no longer have the game installed. Its been years since I played the first guild wars.

[*]Where are you playing Guild Wars 2 from?
- My home computer. IP is logged with the account on the website.

[*]At what time and in which time zone do you play Guild Wars 2?
- Multiple times of day (morning, afternoon and night). EST time zone (-5 hours GMT)

Possible solution to this error AND to the BLTC blank window issues. (maybe others?)

reference this post for details = https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/Blacklion-Trading-Company-shows-Blank-on-all-tabs

Updating the ROOT CERTIFICATES from the WINXP cd (which I already installed) AND a Windows Update of the O/S to update the certificates to the December 2012 update seems to have worked.

I also update the .NET framework just in case.

Commentary: Since the post I referenced was 3 months old (just image the number of postings since then… 1000’s of them!) I had to shift through days of postings with little to NO EXPLANATION of the error code I received or the issues I was having. Considering the use of SSL and Secure network technology GW2 is using, it would be prudent to inform the customers of this in a timely manner, and suggest to them to run this simple update (takes less than 10 minutes start to finish). Im sure it will help to alleviate some of the pressure your tech teams and bug coders have AND, it would thus increase the playability and love from the community causing them to increase the profits and game play.

(not that I wish to tell anyone their business)

Thanks for your time.

I know this thread is 3 months old, but the root certificate update is what worked for me and it took me a few days to find this posting. SOOO, i hope the moderators find it in their hearts to add the solutions here to the STICKY’s.

I would recommend one additional step for completeness sake. I saw some one mention previously to update the root certificates. An easy way to do this is by doing an UPDATE of the windows o/s, and once on their update site, choose a CUSTOM scan. In the list that will follow you may see a root certificate UPDATE for December of 2012. Install that update, and I would recommend the .NET framework as well.

This has not only fixed the problem (or seems to have fixed the issue, for the last several logins) to have fixed the ERROR 7 issues I had (error code 7:1000:7006:375) which prevented me from logging in, and the BLANK game screens (ie: Black Lion Trading Company windows) which prevented me from using the trading post.

The .NET and Root Certificates update the database for secure connections and network traffic. This makes sense since both of the above mentions issues would use some kind of SSL or other secure technology to protect the datastream for login and secure trading through the game.

@squall leanhart — can you be more specific?

Im unclear about how or why this would help.
