Trying to push SoR for 1st is really hard when BG never leaves JQBL.

BG what if I said SoR took your cookies AND your bacon…?

Maybe take a look in BGBL. You have an 80 man zerg keeping us there. If anything we kind of have to push you on your map to keep you off ours. We almost reset an SOR T3 keep tonight and had to pull back to BGBL because of this zerg. Meanwhile, as happens all to often in Oceanic/Sea, SORBL is near empty and JQ and BG fight whilst SOR gets their waypoints and upgrades up.

In both JQ and BG’s defense though, the best fights are between these two servers during this timezone. Kind of hurts our PPT but whatever, good fights are hard to come by in WvW except for this timezone.

PvDoor is how you won. Go check the history and your lead is from off hours, you lose the rest. The BG in this thread talking about SOR not showing up is hilarious, outside of SEA and the training week SOR > BG. BG is the only server that doesn’t have a big (for T1) coverage gap.

I mentioned EU because BG will PvDoor EU against any server other than SOR (e.g. JQ).

Yeah, okay. SAHP, SONG, and NYS run big numbers. This is coming from someone who has been fighting your SEA for months. We normally did not hit that high of ppt during SEA until a couple weeks ago when your SEA started showing up less. If you log on any time during this week, you will see that they are out in full force.

No need to sit in denial so strongly. Just log in. This is not the first time that BG, SoR, and JQ have been matched up. Nothing is new. BG won against SoR and JQ in the same match-up before. Not trying to say much of anything with that last sentence, but just trying to point out that you are making this out to be a match that has never happened before. lol

The fact that you can fit every SoR SEA guild into one map goes to show they aren’t that big individually as guilds.

They just work very very well together. SoR SEA is like the marines(small and elite working together). BG SEA is like the army(generally large and decently trained overall). JQ SEA is……like the Air Force(they’ll just bomb the kitten out of your structures).

I could agree with everything you said except you said every SoR SEA guild could fit into one map. Then all the sudden you’re wrong. I have seen SAHP/SONG pull a queue-sized group working together on one map- this includes the PuGs following them.

There are a few SoR commanders and players who are unable to play due to connection issues which have already been mentioned in the thread, which then changes the dynamics of the fights

the result is the same fewer numbers on SoR, combined with the fairweather players turning up less frequent results in a decreased ppt overall

hurry up and get those connections sorted :P

I’ve been sick and haven’t had a chance to stay up to see this stacked BG Sea everyone is talking about until tonight. Pretty impressive recruiting and fairweather players. I have that much more respect to our Sea players for fighting that mess every night.

If anything it’s fairweather players, because we haven’t had any new SEA in weeks. Maybe you should start commanding for your server again.

What you’re seeing happen is the result of your SEA forming into 1 zerg. You like to think you have none, but I can easily post a screenshot of the map zerg that SAHP/SONG/GC form nearly on a daily basis. They are just stuck in one place that way.

Precisely, SAHP with SONG were together, GC and NYS and ORZ were float or with us.

We play with our friends, and you had full map zerg, so we had to focus same map or we got outmanned. that’s it.

btw, we (SAHP+SONG) didn’t fight on SOR bl and EBG, because we have language barrier problem (my guild members even don’t know what is “tower” mean), so we hope home bl and EBG have a commander who can speak English to lead English player.

I had the pleasure of facing the SoR OCE and SEA guilds today. It was awesome to see them work as individual guilds on the same map, coordinating in some fights and hitting different objectives at other times. I would only whish that some of the SoR NA players and guilds would follow their example. It was a pleasure fighting you guys today!

PvDoor? BG ticking 350 ppt for 1 hour, while SoR euro coverage can tick 500 ppt for 3~4 hours.

Everybody knows that some asian guilds in SoR aren’t playing today (maybe due to the new update), so don’t try to make a fake lack of coverage.

NYS has always been inconsistent in turn outs. Their Raids are occasional, whether there’s a new update or not. SAHP, SONG and AFS are still trying to do what they can. They cant do much with ATM, FOO, MERC, ND, ND, WM, Urge, Thai, Ge, DC, CA and XF knocking at their doors. It’s not a fake lack of coverage. Sometimes we tick better because IRON helps us out. This has always been our kind of SEA coverage. I really hope you say things with substantial evidence next time. SoR wvw guilds don’t PvE. FYI, SoRs EU has never really ticked 500 even for 2 consecutive ticks before. Don’t even know what you are talking about. If you want to troll at least troll smartly.

I have to explain a bit.

When the lag is unaccepted, I wont start the raid.
There was a exceptional lag for some Hong Kong players in these few weeks, at least half of our members, including me cannot do a fight. There are at least 7sec+ delay during a fight (NOT ONLY in SoR BL and its spike lag, not the skill lag that everyone suffers), which make us lose the battle we should win, and make me extremely angry and shout on the TS

We are by no means a occasional wvw guild, we stack up in our prime time every day, but bad things just happen to us again and again.

Tonight I even told the oceanic commanders to make tons of preparation for the coming SEA prime time. I was ready for a epic battle and tons of fun. But talking about the lag, what can I do?

Anyway, until Anet (or may be our ISP) fix it up, we will remain our absence.

It isn’t exactly ANet or your ISP, the problem is in the route your internet is taking to the servers in Dallas. One or more routes seem to be completely broken, causing extreme packet loss and latency. This problem seems to be happening to a good numbers of players from South America, EU, Asia and even some americans.

For the brazilian community using a tunneling service (such as Battleping or WTFast) have been a good fix for this issue. Personally, I had to subscribe to one of these services in the past week as the game became virtually unplayable without it.

My guild members from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, a few members from Malaysia had the lag problem, but usually lasts only 1-2 day.

Only Hong Kong members have lagged more than a week,not only skills lag on battle but also their screen displays game was delay 10s ~ 1min.

I thought there are some network problems in Hong Kong, it’s happened before.

Glory was show his moon walk to me past week every day, and he only can listen our fight voice in RC and jealous to us can play game.

The NW tower is extremely buggy and often as not if you utilize a firey greatswors fourth ability you can accidentally pass through the door. This happens to every guild from MERC to IRON. It was not intentional, and it isn’t the first time this has happened, but it isn’t a hack or an exploit. Please knock off the accusations unless you actually have evidence that it was a hack. You’re just making your guild look bad by throwing out such claims.

She wasn’t accusing you. And I’m sure that if that’s what you got from it, it’s more than likely that she just miss-typed what she wanted to say (you know, due to english not being her native language).

This isn’t the first time this has happened as last matchup I had a Merc Charr warrior get through that gate and promptly jumped off the side. He didn’t go to the Lords room.

People forget that yesterday July 1st was a Stat Holiday in Canada so EU time had some extra people. We’re going to see the same at the end of the week with July 4th holidays in the US. Unfortunately, the PPT you see now in EU time will be norm.

This is what happens when a server panics after getting destroyed by RG and finishing last after wining for weeks. [KISS], [SONG] and whomever else they recruited will make things difficult in EU time with their PVDooring now with full map zergs.

Keep fighting JQ and BG! Go after those camps and slap those yaks. Who knows, you might be able to divide up the SOR map blobs and come up with some surprising victories!

All these complains about PvDoor works both ways. BG PvDoors during their strong period, SOR PvDoors during theirs, and its just lately that JQ can’t PvDoor as well during their SEA timezone due to BG’s stack fiesta? All these useless complains.

You keep saying that, but SoR has similar numbers of players in total during SEA/oceanic and I don’t think the oceanic’s/SEA on your own server (HIRE, AFS, SONG, OCX, Early EU players, Late NA players, TSYM) would appreciate calling what they do PvD, show more respect to your servermates as well as people who are matched with them. Half the reason why I don’t mind fighting SoR is due to the fact that SoR are the only two servers with a notably large Oceanic presence. Any other match-up would be boring in the GMT+10/8 timeslot.

In regards to us (MERC) being accused of zoom hacking by a previous poster (not the quoted author); I command almost every night and I think you need to get some credible evidence before you start throwing down claims that are nothing more than “he said/she said”.

And almost of SAHP members need work , so we only had 2-3 hours can play game. we logged at 2200~2300, but need to sleep at 2400.
In fact, we only had 20-30 minutes on our main team all in attendance.

Sometimes I was feel lost for we was be forgotten on SEA discussions of forum.
Although our guild focused on WvW (we are pvx guild, wvw little more), but we played with really short time , I think that’s why we always be forgotten by BG and JQ T_T

picture from sunnyhill in bg bl, few min ago, must be a glitch or something because i saw sor guys coming through wall while they attacked tower, and no, they were not there prior to attack, after this picture 3 more came through the door (no portal) were capping tower before zerg managed to take down gate. all guys who came through the tower had fire greatsword elementalist elite skill.

I’ve had this happen in the same tower with SoR before. It was some random IRON player. No walls down, gate intact, but somehow they got in. Those of us in TS were like “Oh, it’s just a clone. No, wait. They’re moving pretty independently and using non-clone skills. Not a clone.”

I’ve seen most people on TS channel when Miss Lena sang.
I remember that about two hundred people or more on the same channel.

One other thing we do to encourage militia to join is sing along sessions once a while, especially during our weaker zones.

Also, having a couple of women commanders (Tysm lady, Wrex, Mrs Nyx, Sisters SSQ and Snowsnow, etc great commanders in their own right) help loads. The guys just pile in for some reason.

Hello Hickeroar,

The key foundation to a strong WvW experience is Teamspeak.

Voice comms beats team chat in many ways:

1. Efficiency – It takes less work to lead and coordinate.
2. Speed – TS speeds up communication by 300% or more.
3. Civility – This is often overlooked, people are more civil on Teamspeak vs team chat, the same person that seems sarcastic or condescending on team chat is usually a normal guy on TS who is curt on team chat due to the problem of text thoroughly communicating finer ideas.

Point number 3 is key to building a good environment in WvW.

The most crucial is this. Barring language differences, the major guilds have to be in a server TS otherwise it will never work. If TS is empty you will never get pple in, but if you have a guild of 10-20 guys on one channel, it will get filled up pretty quickly with militia who want to coordinate with the guild. If that guild is successful you will soon get pple asking about builds and strats, that is when important information about strats, builds, ideas gets shared (points A,B, C in one go). That’s makes it a great WvW experience for all the folks in the server.

I’ve noticed that a lot of what seem to be SoR militia are pretty sturdy. How do you properly explain a build to them: A) without coming off as elitists, without offending their precious hard-earned armor, C) in a way that communication is taken constructively and seriously?

SoR does seem to have a great track record in getting militia on-board and trained, and I think it’s a huge part of their success.

Our community server is mumble, as opposed to teamspeak, and there’s only one or two guilds that don’t share it.

Guilds communicate cross-channel, or join in the same channel, and there’s a lot of coordination. A large portion of our militia are also in mumble with us, but the “majority” of the militia are not.

We basically have a policy that we will encourage VOIP, but never “require” it (as if you could enforce this anyway), and commanders are encouraged to either type in /say as much as possible, or have their orders transcribed by someone. This happens…some of the time. xD

Not to be rude, but all that video shows is your guild with a map zerg fighting outside your spawn twice (insta res and run back) vs ATM.

Your map zerg vs Thai and ND’s 30ish players.

PvDooring and holding a choke against a BG force pushing up stairs which based on the video looks like they wiped you and pushed you inside (hence the cut edit).

Not only that but the cut to the JQ it seems was pushed from behind by BG as there is a lot of BG tags coming up the stairs.

Nothing to be proud of in that vid.

In fact spawn fought is only once. sometimes regroup and standoff is boring so I cut it off, make vid not too long , include we back inner garri to regroup.

maybe you notice we had outmannd icon on spawn fought and I never back to spawn buff area (without I die once)?

When we fought with Thai+ND, we had no idea they’re on my back, it’s successful sneak attack but they failure. and we also got about 30-40 ppl too, you can count our green dot on mini map.

and we can fought with Door bcz we used tactics let JQs just watch BG map.

How is US t1 now?. Any guilds actually running in 20-30 man or is it all on 1 commander 24/7 60-100 man blobs all week?. Making usual excuse for being bad its not gvg its wvw… From reading first few pages seems fair few guilds interested in some GvG. How are the EU hours?. How is the lag etc?.

If u thought VS blobs on EU, u should see MERC and ATM here, they practically lag the whole BL with the skill delay.

but i haven’t faced any lag, and nobody has has complained of skill delay so far except while fighting ATM/MERC at their prime time.

but if ur looking at GVG with EU standards, u will be disappointed. the difference is a clear mile.

well, we apologize about you guys losing the garrison yesterday, you guys got a full que(according to SoR, they did try hard) defending your fully upgraded garrison with a 10 second skill lag and we saw the SoR post about how it would be impossible for BG and JQ to take it under that lag… so ATM and Ge merely want to farm that full que running into the LR held by MERC and ND…. and we only want to farm it for a bit… so we’re sorry it became a 2 hours farm according to SoR posts, time flies

be honest, ATM fights MERC and ND every day for god knows how long and NYS + SAHP backdoor us every day and no one complains on the forum like your 20 SoR posts right after that garrison farm…

this is why we like fighting MERC and ND because they are the only guilds that fights us again and again on open field, they don’t complain about getting wiped or 2v1ed and they don’t leave the map after 1 wipe or straight up avoid ATM map during T1 oceanic.

we have nothing but respect for MERC and ND, sometimes we wiped them and sometime they wipe us, everyone gets plenty of badges…(we do find fighting BG is much more fun and profitable than SoR oceanic that hides in fully upgraded and fully sieged keeps, we really don’t have the patience to treb SoR keeps with full que defending it…. not with our short 4 hour operation time.

but rest assured, ATM and Ge is back on BGBL today, and we had fun with MERC and ND, and we got our once a day visit from NYS and SAHP as usual =)

After looking at the Maps for the first time today I’m now thinking, why? Why are JQ and BG attacking each other?

We tried to annoying BG, attacked woodhaven or into their garri when they fought with JQ.

But JQ and BG just fought together, they ignore us.

When BG’s garri was took by JQ, BG just keep attacked JQ, still forget we’re here….
In the confusion 3 way fought on garri, we got the garri and still don’t know why…0_0

This is a new experience without sieges.

Everyone came out the gate and ac, just fight.

Blackgate has been having siege issues in EB also. I wouldn’t be surprise if whatever they did to change the siege timers also messed up the siege caps as well.

Remember NYS, AFS, HIRE that make up most of your SEA? What about all the SBI guilds you absorbed as it crashed and burned? I don’t even remember most of those names. These transfers all happened around the same time period. Let’s not pretend that the super servers are not all the same in that they needed an infusion of new players to help them get to where they are.

Enough with the revisionist history please, SOR. There’s really nothing to be ashamed of.

in Asia time, we [SAHP] and [NYS] from SBI came to SOR about 4 month ago.
(I think [TSYM] and [HIRE] was join on same time ? they play little early, so I saw them less.)

at that time, we only had about 10-15ppl, NYS about 20-25. and that time, SOR’s asia time (you called SEAtime right ?) is almost empty.

NA guilds need get up early to cover SEA time, or need play until 3-4am to cover oceanic time.
I usually saw [CHOO] and [OCX][SEC] in our time, but we not have much ppl.

at that time, SAHP even not a main wvw guild, our member only have 2-3 hours can play in game every day, NYS same too , their PVE members more than WVW.

[AFS] come to SOR about 1~2 month ago. they love defend bl, that’s really helpful. so much thanks to them, they did great job.

every night, we started from + 50 ~ + 100, and happy we no let the ppt become zero LOL.
I brush my teeth before going to bed ,watching PPT gone (with my sieges T_T) every day.

And now, [IRON]come to SOR, we can sleep on time.

We have considered giving up, when we always be wiped by huge zerg, lost all of keep every night, login and saw enemy T3 keep on SOR bl.

But NA guilds gave us a lot of support.

I don’t know how things are on JQts nowadays, but the channel officers are quick draws with the banhammer. Especially with unverifieds and visitors. AND beyond that, even a well intentioned opponent won’t be welcome in combat channels. Guild rooms by invite.

I think you misunderstand me. I was joking about listening to indo lol. I have only been in your combat channel 1 time and it was months ago when I was invited in by a friend of mine in choo and I made sure to not be in wvw while listening to them.

Since then I have never been in any of your combat channels. I was not even on the ts when I got banned. I told them about the karaoke and that I would stop in later and when I tried to stop in that night I was banned.
