Outfit is meh but what is with these basic looking weapon skins. Holy cow. Are they turned into something better later or are they just that bad. Almost feels like a waste to have gotten the Ultimate pack. Though gems <3 which still haven’t been given to me yet…. >_>

Do I have to change my DNS, Chris? or is this the only way I’ll ever be able to play. I’ve restarted my computer and it’s still not detecting internet. I don’t feel comfortable messing with it’s settings.

I created one of the free accounts to play with my friend cause he can’t afford a full account yet and we started doing map completion and I noticed there’s no more indication as to how many poi’s and vista’s and all that stuff are left. Is map completion no more and these thing’s are there to level or is this something you don’t get with the free version? seems kinda lame now.
Also on a side note, why is almost every server full now and even when the game was new there was only 3-4 actual full servers.

The title. I was watching old WvWvW videos and it brought so many good memories back. I miss playing with the people I did, zerging around or roaming, having a true struggle to take a tower and I mean the ones that took an hour or more to get and it felt so good. Even old PvP was fun. The two thing’s I loved the most in this game became very un-fun fast after HoT I kind of feel both these modes lost their skill factor when it came to succeeding. Oh well. Just wanted to say I missed the way thing’s were before. I haven’t logged on Gw2 for close to a year now and I don’t miss what it is, just what it use to be. Happy Gw2ing everyone.

The other 2 people in my party got Desertion too, when we did not leave.

Hey! since the expansion was such a let down, can we please get an update on the bunny ears. Why is this thread being ignored. I want the bunny ears. Are they coming or not, Gaile/Anet team? a good no will shut me and everyone else up who have been waiting months for an answer. Anything at all?

Ew. What even is the point in making me pay for the core game again. Not to mention having to pay 25 more bucks for some junk I don’t care about and a character slot? which should come free with the expansion anyhow, considering the new profession. face desk hard Extremely conflicting.

If I buy this expansion, considering it comes with the core game, will I get a brand new game code? If so, does it connect my already existing account to the HoT or can I make an alt or give the code to a friend, to play the basic version of Gw2?

PS – Why do we have to spend 50 bucks for the core game and expansion? The original Gw2 has way more content than the expansion gives and I don’t really think it’s worth 50 dollars. Were pretty much paying 50 bucks for a couple maps and guild halls, am I right?

This Beta test was a little stale for me, only because I’ve seen a a handful of people play it. I definitely did enjoy playing the Revenant. The Legendary Demon stance was definitely not something I swapped to often since it seemed to just be a bunch of condi transfers and Zzz. Mace and Axe were definitely my go to weapons considering how slow hammer seemed to be. Loving all the blasts Revenant has. The mobs seemed a bit weak? not sure if that was intentional just for Beta reasons. Wyevern was neat, definitely lackluster though. He seemed really under powered for a legendary boss considering I could just stand there, pop stab and auto attack with hammer. I didn’t have any lag issues at all with a group of people around, everything seemed to run nice and smooth. The map designs was aesthetically pleasing, as usual. Overall a very nice experience, but the hype and watching other people play the demo kind of killed it for me. I wanna try ranger staff, please. =P

regardless of it being the whole picture, this game is rather stale after hitting 80 cap. Other than experiencing all the dungeons and gearing up, legendary’s and ascended armor are very unnecessary. The fact there is no real way for me to spend hours grinding and limiting my ways to acquire a decent amount of money every hour or so, for these overly inflated vanity items, is a real kick in the teeth. Just the other day, I tried grinding CM p1, to level my alt. I was pretty hype tbh. My third attempt at the dungeon was nothing but a let down, lo and behold, my experience and money was cut in half. . . after my third completion. This confused me and after looking some thing’s up on google, i found, “Diminishing returns”. Now, that completely turned me off and I was pretty disappointed and angry. How is anyone to do anything fun in this game when everything is restricted to this, once per day nonsense. Gw2 kind of sucks lately and everything I try to do to change my mind on it, just proves to me more and more this game is just a waste of time. If I had something else to play, I would. To bad ESO sucks, or that would be my calling.

Reason why lower rated server usually gets red, middle, blue, and high, green, is that the distance between objectives makes it easier to defend a good chunk for red than it is for green.
In red, appart form Anza, two towers are easy to reach from spwan, two are really close to the keep, and it’s easy to go from the keep to those towers…

On the green side, the towers seem somewhat farther from the spawn, and general design make it so going from one tower to the other takes a bit longer…

So, the reason why the first usually have green with a small chance at blue, the second has blue with a small chance at both other colors, and the third has red with a small chance at blue is that the designe have been thought to give a slight advantage to the losing server…

So no, no color rotation.

Mendon’s is the only one that is fairly close to spawn, Veloka, not so much. And to compare red to green for back tower distance, it is rather minute. Ogre and Veloka are easy access in red but so is Aldon’s and Jerri in green. You can treb defend 3 towers in green and 3 in red. Anza and Mend lose quite often considering the distance they are from the keep and it is really easy in that open field to set up siege from a distance and yoink those towers…Ogre’s isn’t in any more of an advantage either. The only real advantage I see in red is the supply camp being so close to Ogre’s and Veloka, which in the end, if you know how to starve your enemy of supply, it should not be a big deal. Trebbing SM from red keep wouldn’t fall under the advantage category either since it is easy to take those trebs out. Um. Ya… BG is always the one to get picked on in Eb because they excel so much in Bl’s. I’ve seen SoR/JQ in first place on reset nights more often than not and BG later surpasses. JQ is growing pretty well and is decent during NA and Really Strong during Sea, as to where BG really only has superb NA coverage and they get the backhand during Sea. SoR doesn’t even seem to want to participate lately and I think it’d be refreshing to be on the Red side and if it’s such a wonderful section to the map, be given some slack. I really don’t think it’s fair to be confined to one side of the map. Keeping WvW feeling new each reset would definitely have more people wanting to hop on that instead of just shrugging it off cause it’s the same old junk as last week.

So leaving friends you WvW with and your guild just to play in a different color makes sense?
I am only asking nicely and trying to bring attention to it because I don’t want to leave and I don’t want to play something else. I like WvW and would appreciate some thought to go into each match set up. It’s bad enough were stuck with the same 3 servers, a rotation of sides seems only fair.

Some flawed logic you got going on there. Why exactly should I pay 35 dollars for gems to transfer and or 130+ gold because Ncsoft/Anet can’t give us a bit of variety every now and then? What exactly is BG to gain from being on the Red side that is so inconceivable. All 3 sides have their 2 weak points and I must say, I find it easier to Ninja from the red than Green or Blue. SoR isn’t even bothering with WvW, look at that score and tell me if it even counts based on past performances. Their side was dead, therefor, shouldn’t count and that only means BG was in last place. Red please.

I don’t need anything on the other side and even If I did I wouldn’t be able to ask the cmd because Bg and Sor have totally given up playing. And so one server decides to just bomb every match and were all stuck the same color for weeks on end. What happened to it being random? Last time I was told, it was a random rotation no longer based on score. Can’t really expect people to enjoy playing WvW every week if it’s the exact same thing every time. And what if I was on SOR’s side? there’d be no chance at all for me to get anything in the green area with their situation. It’s pretty unfair, not fun and getting really old fast. I want to defend new towers and chill and scout in a new area, use different strategies. The enemy already knows what’s going to happen the next week cause it’s being repeated over and over…Nothing is ever new feeling or exciting, it’s just, who’s gonna gang up on who at reset and then the rest of the week is exactly the same as the last. It’s been a year now and WvW is already starting to get boring, why ruin it and make it even worse by having us on the same side of the map for weeks. Nothing else in this game is appealing to me and I know lots of other people who only play WvW too and will never touch PvE content.

Would be really nice if BG could get red for a change. Previous to this match up, JQ SOR and BG were the same color for 4-5 weeks? Not fun…Been forever since I’ve seen BG on the Red side, recently it’s just been SOR and before that JQ had it a couple times too. Stop making WvW so dang boring NCsoft/Anet. ’’>.> This Friday, Please! Give BG red.

Another point that I think is unforgivable, is the gigantic clusterf*** that these events are, but then combined with the absolutely broken targeting!

Good luck trying to target the boss with this still broken targeting system, when surrounded by players and trash mobs. I predict the situation below. And the irony, is that there is not a single dev response in the ‘Targeting-Still-Broken-Please-Fix-It’ topic in the bugs sub forum. Not a single one! A problem that has plagued the game since release!

Ambient creatures have white text and are 1 hit. I tried tabbing around a bunch of ambient’s in Queensdale and was unable too.

Your problem. You have a t1+ strength in SEA but a T2 strength in NA. You do not match up well with anyone. You will be wrecked by T1. Your only fair fight might be JQvTCvDB. Unfortunately, you are unlikely to ever see that battle. JQvsTCvsFA doesn’t really count since FA targets TC most of the time.

Nah. We aren’t that horrible during the day. We hold our own. We definitely aren’t completely wiped off the map as TC/DB/FA are for the majority of the day. We’ve been first for a long time and only 2nd and 3rd since people started hittin’ it up with SOR. We are populated enough to stay in T1 till proven otherwise. When it comes to our scores, were either second or third and not by much. If you actually check out the scores between t1 vs jq and t2-3, it is sickening how much more we have. Tc is definitely good, but still, not better than us when it comes down to having people in the map 24-7.

It is population Vs Time of day. Top 3 servers have enough people to maintain am/pm in wvw. Though SOR/BG seem to have better overall coverage, as to where SEA time seems to manage way better than NA in JQ. From around noon-evening (5pmish) NA time, we do have numbers but it isn’t as great. We take our share of being wiped but there’s nothing like a challenge of defending and defeating till we get it together again. TC/DB/FA and Mag are awesome competitors in WvW, when the time is right they bring their game. They’ve given a great show. However, it isn’t consistent and therefor unfair to them, us, and whomever else is on the map. We over power T2-3 for the majority of the day, pushing them away from WvW when the few they have want to play. Maybe 4 out of the 24 hours in a day we are actually getting some even WvW action…the rest is JQ owning everything and having nothing to do but take our pixels for a jog. I want to strongly suggest keeping the top 3 servers against each other till a better solution is found to remedy the population problem in WvW for lower tier servers. One thing this game did wrong was pop out a huge number of servers to join when their player ratio doesn’t add up. Temporary solution. TC/FA/DB need to get some serious advertising on done by Anet, through free server transfers, server merging, something. It’s not fun to be overly better than the servers your against and it’s definitely not fun to be beatin’ so bad the only time you get a chance to do something, is when your competitors have literally given up on you. I love this game, and I’m definitely not the type to complain. But this is really frustrating to me.

Definitely this. It’s been what, 2 days now and people have yet near a month to complete everything and gather what they need for the wings they’re complaining so much about. Easy achievements for such nice items. Work hard for what you want or disregard the event all together and get on with your gaming life.
