You’re breakin’ my little gamer heart, GW2. Seriously, I feel… crushed. We had something special. I’ve never loved another MMO. You had a twinkle in your eye, and you… you had what most single player, open-world RPGs have, but was not really something you found in MMO’s. You had… you had WAYPOINTS. But now I see that something is happening, and it’s like you’re slipping away from me… those… those vines.
I know you’re about to lose your Waypoints. Not just a few of them, which… which I could live with, but most of them. You’re about to spiral down into that place where most MMO’s languish, where people spend all of their time, running around maps they’ve already seen a hundred times… being in places they don’t care to be, because they have no other choice.
I want desperately for you to tell me that I am wrong, but I can’t deny what I feel in my heart. Unless I’m just imagining something, I think this may be the end for us.
Please tell me I’m wrong. Pretty please?

I agree with all the general sentiments here. This is freaking out of hand. I was testing out a guild recruiting message in my HOME INSTANCE, with NO ONE IN IT, because it is my HOME INSTANCE.
You’re telling me that I can’t talk to myself, ANet? Is that it? I deliberately went to that part of the map, and used the /say command, so that no one would be bothered by my tests. After five or six different messages, testing post length, content, etc, I was capped. After waiting ten minutes (jesus), I got capped AGAIN for trying to test out the message ONE MORE TIME. …Am I ever going to be able to recruit for my guild now?
Sorry, ANet, you’re being way too aggressive with this. Fix it!!
That’s it. I login, and that’s fine. I get to the character screen, and that’s fine too. But once I hit that play button, sometimes it takes two or three minutes to put me on a map. There’s no magic I can work, by telling you my user name or specs. I honestly think it’s just the megaserver being tediously slow to place me in a map. Ever since the megaservers were put up, it’s been becoming increasingly hard to get into the game initially. Been really bad the past couple of days, in particular. Everything’s pretty much fine once I’ve gotten into the game, but I’m waiting upward of two, three minutes just on initial log-in now. Anyone else having this problem?
This is possibly something you should call customer service about:

This is a bug, to be certain, but if you want your gems, you should go there.
While playing through the personal story with my friend (character: Ailea Throatblade), we went into the Defend Fort Trinity story instance. After approaching Trahearne, their little dialogue runs, but the cut scene never ran. It was also impossible to talk to Trahearne. We tried, on three different occasions, to reload the instance. On the fourth try, I prompted her to trying playing it by herself. This allowed her to advance, but this old bug, is obviously still around. I found a very old thread, regarding this problem:
We’re both order of whispers. She is a thief, I’m a necro. Levels 73 and 80 respectively. We were always within range of the NPC’s, and weren’t moving around or anything like that, as discussed in the previous thread. I’m done with my personal story, and TO BOOT, we both did the story where you blow up the bone ship with Tonn. So it shouldn’t be conflicting on any level.
PS: I can’t bump that thread I linked, or I would have. It says I’m “not allowed to post in this forum”, whenever I do.

Okay, sorry to immediately update, but after the characters go off-screen, like if I walk a distance away, and come back, they’re all standing up again. So they’re popping back up, too.
I found a bug that isn’t too serious. When I went into the Timberline Falls map, down to the little village called Kyesjard (It’s near Krognar’s Pass)… there are some villagers who are labeled as “Passed out drunk”. They were all standing upright when I first got there. After I hit them with a water bucket, they turned into “Sopping Wet Drunk”, went into the village for a little while, and then returned to the area where they had first been a “Passed Out Drunk”. Eventually, they returned to being “Passed Out Drunk” with the correct animation. However, any “Passed Out Drunk” that I had not hit with a water bucket, was still standing up. There isn’t any functionality issue- the local quest still works fine. Just a small bug.
Dear GW2 Staff:
Whomever did this, please fire him. After you fire him, rehire him, and fire him again. After you do THAT, rehire him one more time, and FIRE HIM AGAIN.
I know that sounds nonsensical, but you know how job applications ask for your last three places of employment, and why you left?
All three of them deserve to say FIRED, for whomever did this. He or she should not work in the game industry ever again. This is a game-breaking tier f*** up. Some person broke your game. It is unplayable. THE MAIN STORY CONTENT IS CURRENTLY BROKEN, AND HAS BEEN FOR OVER A MONTH.
PLEASE ensure that they are never employed in games again.
I’ve never gotten this far in the story before. I will literally never get to see this content if this problem isn’t fixed, unless I go limp, defeated, to the bowels of youtube to watch some crappy LP.
I didn’t pay $60 for this game to NOT GET THROUGH THE STORY ONE SINGLE TIME. Okay?
Thank you.
