i guess that’s true. fighting with a team is much different and requires different builds, but it would still be fun in my opinion.
Like duels. I don’t know, i think it would help inexperienced players get used to fighting other people. It would be a warming up to PvP, i wish i had it when i started in PvP. Idk, just a thought, if there’s an actual reason id love to hear it.
i have windows 8 btw
This might not belong here, but I didn’t know where else to ask. You see videos with the camera panning around the environment, seeing things from a birds eye view maybe. I have no idea how to do that. I wan to make a video, maybe on advertising how cool GW2 is, or maybe just a cool video. I’m not technologically advanced as you can probably tell, any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
sorry, i lied. stuck at 99%. i have 1 file left to downloaded of many thousands already downloaded
i’m getting a patch and it is stuck at 1%, the rate of downloading just slows down until it says “downloading 0KB/second”. what do i do? i fixed it before but i do not remember how. i changed computers and had to install gw2 again. any help is appreciated, thank you.
dude..this is the best. thank you so much!!! that was soo helpful! lol i mean really, these links are like gold to me.
I see these other warriors rocking awesome looking stuff, and wonder where they get it. are they legendarys, did they buy them, did they win them? i’d like medievil type of armor. lol
sometimes it doesnt load properly and i need to go out of the game then back in, and then it does load sometimes, but when i go to buy something(anything, and even if im talking to someone directly) i cant. the buy button stays grey and unclickable. normally this just goes away, but it doesnt seem to this time. does anyone have a suggesstion or solution? any assistance would be appreciated. thank you
I’d like to point out that searching the web for critisisms and popularity is NOT a good way to find it out. It’s what statistitions call a “voluntary sample”, which is a very bad and bias thing. In voluntary samples it’s usually negetive people, the people who have things to complain about, that post things or respond. Mostly because, what do content people have to say? Nothing, they’re too busy enjoying the game. I’m not saying your views are invalid, i’m only correcting you on the whole “searching the internet for popularity” thing. For example, on a news broadcasting station, a question may be asked, “call in and tell us how you feel about obamas new gun control” or w.e. Most calls will be against it, on average.
i hate the word and idea of farming, it feels cheatish and i HATE cheating. it feels wrong, but it doesn’t hurt anyone..anyway, i really want more money, but don’t like dungeons, they’re hard and take hours for me. so what is the easiest dungeon and quickest to do, seeing as how i don’t have time for hours at a single sitting? thank you
ok, thank you, i thought about that direction, but wasnt sure. time to explore. my fave part of the game
can someone point me in the right direction? lol i just turned level 80 and want to check it out
you still need to complete 5 challenges. i assume you’re talking about stuff like “kill variety” or “daily gatherer”. you can pick 5 to do and 5 will get you your due.
hey yeah! that would be really awesome! maybe you can buy a starter pack, find better cards in the wild or w.e, maybe earn good ones by doing dungeons and such. great idea!
well those were just examples to get what i was thinking across.
Board games in the major cities. Like guild wars 2 type board games. They wouldn’t have to create entirely new little board games, or even mini-games, maybe even just like chess or checkers or something, but it would be so cool! It would help to make the game feel more real and more like a community. You could have like a “games building”, and have actual tables set up and characters sit down like it’s a real social place. Does anyone agree with me? It’s not a deal breaking thing, just an “if arena net has time” thing.
lol no, im not trolling. i really thought it automatically printed the screenshot. thank you
i love your saying thing btw. “id rather regret something id done than regret doing nothing”. very cool
wouldnt that print the screen? i dont want to print it
i would love to feature my character in gw2 on my desktop with a cool background of Tyria in it, and i would like to know if there’s an option in the game to take a screen shot or something. any help would be appreciated, thank you!
i tend to agree though, it should be more like a fusion of items instead of a random generator. it should be less random what we get.
I just found out i have to have 100% world completion for a legendary weapon, just when i figured out i would like to craft one
i was thinking about this as well. but what kind of weapons could they introduce that wouldnt ruin the “old time weapons” feeling? also on the more skills, i feel like there could be more of a diversity. there are other things that need tweaking in game first, but if you have time arena net it would be lovely and kind to introduce new weapons and skills. maybe a syche? id like to see a dagger for a warrior, that would be interesting…oohh!! maybe gauntlets? like real armored gloves for strong armor types? that would be awesome.
When it works(i am able to buy stuff) i can’t move my curser over the item and have the specs pop up. When it is working properly and normally i can see the attack power, the special conditions on the item, and such. How can i fix this?
Thank you for your time
ok..i guess i just dont mind how i look as much as other people..i was trying to think of a more practical use.
why would i want to combine the traits of one item with the skin of another?
thank you!
thank you i really appreciate it
i got a few without looting them. there are large present/gifts from the jp, but do the quior bells thing give the personalized?
also, all the u.s servers are high pop, but on my server it’s 1 of only 3 that are medium pop.
I live in the U.S and didn’t know i was on a euro server, so everyone there is about 4 hours ahead of me. so what should be prime time(like 7 or 8 in the afternoon) is like 12 for them. but i met some cool people on this server. but i also feel like id meet cool and more people on a U.S server. idk..it hasnt really been a huge problem, it’d just feel better to be around players who might live simular to where i live, you know?
i would try to meet people. dont be afraid to ask for help in the /yell option, because that’s how i meet most people, through that chat. those people can help you make leveling and everything much safer and easier. try to be in parties of simular lvl people or some people(like myself) like to help lower lvl chars by doing stuff with them. do heart quests a lot, go for map completion, and do all the dynamic events you pass by. ALL. it helps. if you have a good party of about 5 by any chance go into world vs world(if one of those people is experienced in the game and in wvw), even if you are lvl 10 you should go to wvw if you have a good party, as it gives you tremendous exp. hope this helps.
lol thanks. at one point we were surrounded. the 3 of us before the other group came. 2 or 3 on a mountain looking at us on a road, and this warrior just out of range on our road with a gun. we were at a stand still till one of my team mates led the way out of danger and we got away, unfollowed. it was scary .lol
Do away with servers and just have districts like in GW1.
This messes up wvw but…
Turn wvw into house vs house. Guilds can join a house that fights for a deity or purpose or whatever. 3 houses fight on the battlefield. There is a maximum of houses set by the game (as many as there are servers now)
Every guild is randomly assigned a house and can swap houses for an amount of influence every 14 days (swapping loses all upgrades). Add limitations like capping the membercount of each house (like servers seem to have when they go full)There we go, no more having to try out servers, maps are relatively filled now and there is no need to worry about server transfers since there are none.
yeah, but then people not in guildes cant play
try grouping with people who need help with things. i just had a great adventure you can read about “my great adventure” in this forum. it was a blast. but yeah, team up and meet people!
I don’t care if you read this, i just want to share it. It started by someone asking for help for a skillpoint in kennex hills. Me and someone else offered to help, afterword we kind just stuck together, we did more events/skillpoints, then we hooked up with someone else. then we did a personal story mission, which was hard and a very good bonding experience. then we decided to go to wvw, but the guy we hooked up with dropped, so it was just us 3 amigos. i was scared, not much into wvw, i was always alone in it. i was never really in a group before. we took some supply camps, had to be sneaky with just 3 people. then some real people came and surprized us, so we resed and took another supply camp. while we were taking it, another group or about 3 came and helped. one of theirs dropped and we combined groups, they seemed nice. kind of like a zombie apocolypse “can we trust them” moment. lol well, we took many camps, many sentries, nodes, gained frogmen trust, and skillpoints. it was so fun and i leveled a lot. then we had to go to bed. I met a lot of nice people today, starting out small and local, going into a big war. we even killed a few players. this was my funnest experience with gw2 and i hope to have more. GOOD JOB ARENANET!!!!
Sorry, i know it’s north of taminn foothills, but idk where exactly. i’ve never done a jumping puzzle before. i’m very excited.
just curious! I usually just try to level my character using different methods, like exploring the map mostly, but i’m getting into crafting.
just south of the ascalon settlement in gendarran fields. i’m at it, but it’s not working. i need it for my 100% completion. i tried it yesturday but it didn’t work then either.
connection failed, please try again later.

why? how do i fix this? thank you
like order of whispers? or is that just norn or..?
but people are never there. isn’t there a better way for nightcrawlers to play dungeons at night?
i guess i’m kinda slow..but, i know the point of the tower, beat it. the rumble and the other thing. but what about the labrynth? whats the point of it? are there specific things to do or just kill mobs? and is there a dungeon for halloween? if so what level dungeon? thank you!
like when gw2 interups to unpdate for a new build. im not mad, just curious, dont want to miss anything.
just making sure.
I’m kind of nervous about joining my first guild, but would like to. i just want to know that if its not for me, can i get out of it?
it took me about 2 hours, and it was fun.
I’m always seeing some negetive things, i thought it was time for a little refresher. besides the trial 20 levels of wow, this is my first MMO, and i am impressed. sure, some aspects could use improvment, some things im dissapointed at, namely the crafting, but there are so many good parts that i dont even mind the bad ones. what game doesnt have any bad qualities? im only level 30, and i never have any time to play because im a high school senior with 4 AP classes and cross country, but the few nights i do im addicted and lose track of time. lol this is a great game, overall an 8/10, which is very good. maybe an 8.5.
I had no idea how much time it took to complete a dungeon, so i set aside about 2 hours, people told me itd take like 1 hour. it took me about 3, but every minute was worth it. I died a lot and had to repair my armor, but all those times i had to repair, the end reward money paid me back and then a lot more. and it wasnt all bad dying. a little inconvience, something to try and avoid. i had nice people to fight with, one person in the group who knew the dungeon. it was pretty simple too, not too complicated for a first timer like i expected. a good amount of experience at the end too. some mods were harder than bosses though, thats my only complaint. but once we got the hang of eachother, we knew how to handle different enemys. dungeons are definatly something ill be doing.
