Advanced Turrets reflective shield visual effects do not appear in large battles
Description: In large battles, the visual effect for reflective shield does not appear consistently. Likely related to the Effect Reduction option.

Reproducible?: Yes. Use drop supply crate with advanced turrets trait equiped in SW boss, WvW zergs, dungeons with lots of spawns (CoF Gadd defend room, CoE Golem Defense Room, etc…)
Additional Details: N/A

Responses like this are why Anet is loathe to make changes people want. Hell, I’d have liked the held grenade item to be a grenade launcher, but I’m not complaining.

Completely agreed. Not only that but what sort of credibility do we have if there’s another big issue to push on in the future? “well we fixed hobosacks and they still complained before one single day went by, they’re never going to be happy no matter what we do”.

This is a big deal guys. Maybe it shouldn’t be I’ll agree with you there, but give credit where it is due. They fixed the hobosacks. At least wait awhile before you join the next lynch mob.

it’s still ugly, whats wrong with complains? we have been compalining hobosack for 2 years.
it tooks them 2 years to fix this issues, and they give us dangly garlic and bucket on crotch.
i know its still work in progress, but whats wrong with giving them good sugestion and let them know that its still ugly. there are some good design in this thread.

right now we just being happy hobosack is gone, but if we get satisfied with it, then we will stuck with dangly garlic and bucket until who knows when, they want to see our response, there. i give my response, its ugly.

I’ll admit, I didn’t mind the hobo sacks while levelling, but after hitting max they just clashed with everything. My techno-charr thanks you, Devs! Thank you for listening. <3

And for those few people who loved them—at least the starter back skin that you can pick for engi resembles them pretty closely. On an Asura I hardly think you could tell the difference…

i agree with sold out, its still ugly.
its still look low tech and doesnt looks good on armor.

please redesign it anet, i dont want to hold bomb in my crotch, and i dont want to hold garlic balls,

please make it some kind of gun, syringe gun for med kit, grenade launcher for grenade, sticky bomb launcer like demoman tf2 for bomb….

charr fit perfectly with the profession,

+ your legendary look bigger and more awesome,
+ your hobosacks, turret and kit fit perfectly with your style
+ jetpack looks awesome and in perfect angle
+ why choose to look like a rat when you can be a gun wielding cat.
+ even if your asura looks good, nobody notice an asura
+ predator suits well with charr

- few selection of good armor
- armor clipping issues
- floating shoulder & shield

Engineer in PvE

Engineer ranks 3rd in DPS when played correctly. It’s kind of like a jack of all trades, and can take the place of a thief with ease most of the time, because you can cover stealth, and projectile absorption to an extent. You also bring good condition removal and heal to keep up scholar’s bonus on your party, the highest vulnerability stacking over time in the game to increase party dps, plenty of blinds, CC for repositioning and defiance burning, decent might stacking, and chill and up to perma immobilize, which can be incredibly useful for some bosses (tar, mossman, archdiviner, etc).

What you don’t bring are aegis/protection to stop bosses from killing your teammates, teleports or portals for fancy skips, area swiftness (though you can if you make a centaur rune set, kind of a pain if you ask me though), area fury, on-demand stability (toss elixir b sucks), or easy damage. Make no mistake, engi damage is top tier, but you have to work for it. Our rotations are more complicated than any other profession.

sorry for my english,

metabuild for PVE is power grenade & might stack skills

for PVE we do alot of things,
- our DPS is higher than thief and guard in mob battle
- traited, we have 5 reflect skills against PVE boss, more than guard can have.
- we can might stack more often than guard, using bomb, and flamethrower
- in PVE we can stealth party longer & more often than thief using bomb 4 skill
- we have more survivability and contribute more to party than thief
- AOE

i love all of your design,
how do we grip and pull the trigger? That doesn’t look comfortable

…they seriosly dont give a single kitten about this class…do they. As long as pvp(sorta kinda) works the visuals can suffer.. kitten the engies who buy gem store items, kitten the engies who do LS to get backpieces, kitten the engies who grind their kitten off for legendaries, just kitten em. Actually.. kitten em twice as hard and make their armor class the most lame and uninspired designed one too, give em coats cause that for sure is armor alright, dont forget to keep em as neutral as possible and if you DARE to stray from the coat ill cut you. Actually.. how about we shove a 3rd kitten you down their throats in making the races who focus on technology in their design get a little extra bonus in clipping the backpieces into their heads (asura) or make em float a mile behind them (charr)….actually do that with all LS packs too right away..(and since im at rage ranting..seriosly im kittened off) also take extra care that the medium gem store items look kitten on these races…mediocre at best…but DONT you dare to make em the same quality as humaniod races cause they are worth less to us, we dont want to make em feel too welcome arround here. Hmm..oh yea lets also ignore the 1000 replies strong topic where they complain about their visuals alright? Actually lets ignore the entire engineer forum We good? Good… now lets see how we can kitten off our engies more…hmm.. ah yea the hammer and mace we promised bout a year ago.. know what? Trash that too….or just say “its coming sometime.. yada yada” to keep em invested a little longer. Im really about to quit the game cause i just cant stand to look at my engineer anymore, im serios.. this clipping really is too much. Hard enough to dress a charr up like a proper engi (without looking like all other engies…what i sorta do cause of the magitech anyways) and then the darn hobosack clips with the slickpack like mad as bonus. WHY IS THIS SO HARD TO FIX?! Do atleast that a-net. You dont give a kitten about the class… we all know that (cause how else you explain the lack of “tech armor” and the exquisite designs of the hobosacks) but to fix the code that makes the backpiece pop out of existance if you draw a kit cant be ALL THAT HARD…UGH

Well, I hope they will add all the stuff some people missed from the living world achievements, or want to have another time in the store someday.
There is no reason not to put it in the store. I’ve also missed 3 or more living world achievement rewards due to inactivity.
