so i havent played in close to a year. when i left i was in a very large guild on ET and we wre always t1 or 2 well now ET seems pretty pathetic and i would like to transfer to a high tier wvw server. that is all

we split up the BL between guilds, we are not being unfriendly, just doling out responsibility. we routinely check in with other guilds ts and ask if they need backup.

if someone spouted in map a comment like “its the other guilds job” was likely cause they didnt feel like explaining the setup.

This is a lie. There are role-players present in WvW though they defend and attack as needed and only throw out a bit of flavour dialogue when things cool down a bit. The only reason people are kicking up a fuss about it is because of the age old and incredibly childish ‘war’ between role-players and PvPers…despite the fact that most role-players readily take part in all aspects of the game on a competitive level.

as my esteemed rival sam fisher on “that other server” has stated, its possible you are running around a bit low level, but also taking keeps back and forth like that, suggests you guys are not upgrading keeps or placing alot of siege.

it gets alot longer and alot more intense when you are trying to defend or attack a t3 tower

if your server wants to be successful, you must invest in your keeps, not just takem and run off

as long as you dont have cheesers setting up trebs in invul locations, its alotta fun

dont worry guys, if they keep doing this they will eventually work there way up to the top tier and ET will give them a good stomp for you, we will wear pictures of your server in our helms.

i saw some roleplayers from ioj walk up to a keep owned by sos and ask for some sugar…..

ET is a very active wvw server. in fact HOD would not be undefeated if they didnt cheeze stonemists keeplord from underneath at the last second….they won by about 1k points realized in the final hours they couldnt take SM legit and farted on ET with a very pungeant fromunda cheeze.

skyrim is a single player game, mmos are completely diff, MUCH harder on your hardware

550ti is a budget card mate, sorry to break it to ya.

but to be honest, the game is super heavy on cpu, try wvw….with 60 people onscreen your cpu is maxed and if you have less than ani5 you get 1-3 fps

this is what is causing the imbalances and its no fun for the people with 20k just like its no fun for the people with 200k. when its all said and done the points and the guy with the bigger number doesn’t really matter near as much as the fun you have playing the game.

please don’t listen to this guy, go to a server that actually needs people like Ferguson’s, Kaineng, or any of the lower pop ones.

Stop encouraging people to stack onto one server so they can stand around at a spawn point with an army of golems. Move somewhere that brings an amount of competitiveness to that matchup and try to find a challenge. Have fun instead. Go where you can play.

Actually we need oceanic people so we can compete with other top tier 24/7 servers in off peak hours (OCE). You have a valid point as well. if you want to move to kaineng or another very small server go for it. if you want to join a medium pop server with very good coordination and have a shot at #1 come to ET. either or, depends on you re playstyle

So when RUIN sets up siege in the EB jump puzzle where people cannot reach to get up to them. It’s “a valid tactic, L2P, PVP happens, etc. etc.”

Yet when you cannot reach a siege weapon that IS NOT invulnerable (read: the trebs can be damaged), it’s exploiting?

It is “possible” in theory to reach to destroy the trebs on the mountain as it is “possible” to reach the arrow carts in the beast arena within EB puzzle. Are you going to admit you were knowingly exploiting?

totally different. killing pvers doing jumping puzzles with difficult to reach siege has 0 impact on the score of the match. trebbing walls down of keeps with unreachable trebs (besides retaliate, which is being fixed btw) has the possibility of changing the score.

Sadly my brother just quit because of the state of WvW. He said he would rather deal with WOW’s flaws than GW2’s. Guess I should have not bought him the game.
Suggestion, stop free transfers and don’t allow Oceanic on US servers. If it stays like this I suggest 12 hour battles until its resolved. It gives all the chance to play in their own time slot and have wins.

The problem with that is that a lot of people define “fun” as “winning”, and will tell you that being on the losing team isn’t fun.

Not really. Fun is an even(ish) match up. Fun is not being sat at 40.000 points while the steamroll team is sat on 250.000.

When you jump into EBG and find the leading team has set up 9 ballista, 12 arrow carts, 2 cata’s and a treb facing your spawn point.

Yeah, tons of fun were had that day.

Your own fault for letting it get to that point.

no idea how you can complain about this. we have like 20 people on the map total during oceanic times and SOS and IOJ take potshots at us from out the main spawn door. maybe if you rushed passed……and continued rushing past your keep, you might actually break out and get a foothole.

I agree. I don’t see why anyone who likes PvP would want orbs. Currently our server owns 2, and the only reason we don’t own a third is because it is bugged. They’re silly, and this isn’t DAoC. They simply don’t have the same effect they did in DAoC. I still PvP whether I have them or not, but I don’t feel quite as good about killing an enemy when I have 10% more health and 100 more to each stat.

I’d rather the playing field was even in that regard. If you’re any good at the game, you’ll still win your fights.

Edit: Also, to those who say a 15% health bonus and 150 bonus to each stats is minimal, you’re deluded. Do us a favor and go PvP without spending your trait points, it is almost the same.

i have over 3k attack, 1800 toughness and 1600 vit….+100 stats isnt much at that godly level

They need to swap the orb bonus with the outmanned bonus.

Outmanned should give 5-15% more health and 50-150 in all stats.
Orb bonus should give +MF +Karma +Exp%

no, no point in having orbs at all than….that buff wouldnt be worth the effort.

you want the good buff? you have to work for it. the “have nots” arent suppose to be artificially inflated for incompetence
