Are you trying to say D/D thieves are OP compared to D/D eles? Why don’t you go make a thief and 1v1 an ele? Should be an easy fight right?
this has been asked for already. not sure why it takes so long for them to implement because it should be fairly easy to do, because they did the PvP salvage kit deposit with the condition that it should be a full stack; so the backend supports such complexity.
I would LOVE a DM mode. Or at least a map where there is just ONE capture point, which would become the center of 5v5 fights. THAT would be a map I would install the game again for.
SOOOOO…. they blow timewarp + mist form to cap the three point buff. How do you guys not win team fights vs such a team? Also, I thought you could start capping each point immediately after the buff activates.
Why not force team fights on the points instead of at the buff? Why not focus the mesmer down before he reaches the buff?
Is it hard to device a strategy around this by looking at the enemy team comp at the start of the game? I usually see most teams lose only because they play into the winning teams strats. Most players in this game have to kittening clue how to force plays from their enemy team, and the ones that do are on top of the QP ladder.

Something easier to implement would be the 1v1 tourney mode once MMR comes out.
1. Wait for two teams with similar MMR to queue.
2. Queue only those two teams in one tournament.
3. First team to win two rounds wins the tournament.
This way all the top tier teams keep fighting each other across all rounds and everyone else is happy.
The sum of scores on each team member is used in case of a tie.
Keep the fumble part the same, just raise the endurance reduction on Weakness. It’s by far the least used/ worried about condition in the game.
i swear with all the bunker classes that use energy sigils, what better way to nerf them down that with this
Nerf energy sigils to give 35% endurance back instead of 50%
OR
Buff weakness to reduce endurance regen by 75%
Would this help kill node holders faster? Discuss.

Mamba is from my CS days, but any mouse with 2-3 buttons is good enough.
Basically, you don’t want to be chilled for a duration longer than 2-3 seconds. This is what makes the ele’s chill abilities so strong, and I’m hoping they nerf it this patch.
I’m pretty sure it’s not that Shukran. Most conditions work in x times per second pulses. Chill should work the same. Otherwise, afflicting a 1 second chill would be the same as afflicting a 6 second chill – in that – they both would increase the cooldown of the 15 second CD to 25 seconds, which is incredibly OP.
AFAIK, any skill that is being recharged while you are chilled will recharge slower (at 66% of the original rate).
Ex: You have a skill with a 15 sec cooldown, and you get chilled for 6 full seconds anytime during that skill’s recharge. This will increase your effective cooldown time to 15 sec + 4 sec (66% of 6 sec) = 19 seconds.
This affects ANY skill this is undergoing recharge while you are chilled. Which means, if you cast a skill after chilled, its recharge will be chilled as well.
Also, I think it also affects the special recharges like the Thief’s base initiative recharge rate (unconfirmed though).
You don’t understand. You sitting on a node fighting nobody is not helping your team in any way.
Your team, on the other hand, is handicapped without you. And will most probably lose against a team that brings all 5 on a different node.
You have to realize that losing team fights causes a snowball effect because of the new res timers. It is extremely crucial to at least have equal numbers fighting at any point. And this won’t happen if the bunker says “HEY GUYS I’LL SIT ON THIS NODE AND DEFEND IT AGAINST NOBODY. DON’T BLAME ME IF WE LOSE THE GAME.”.
The high skill cap in this game comes through, not just you being good with your class , but also with having excellent map awareness and being able to have people ready to fight the enemy team with AT LEAST equal numbers. No matter how good you are with your guard/mesmer/thief/etc., against a good team you will lose a fight if you are outnumbered. You have to leave a capped node defenseless if you know your enemy is going to zerg some other node with all 5. This is the only reason why top tier teams destroy everyone else 500-200: good map awareness and rotations.
I don’t care about hotjoins. They are, as you said, a zerg fests Don’t try to be a hipster and just roll a thief in hotjoin.
Either way, even if you play a bunker guardian in a tourney, you’ll still have to move off your node instead of AFK’ing because your team WILL lose team-fights when it faces the enemy 4v5 on other nodes.
People that are saying “make it a 1 second insta-cast fear just like the necro fear” do realize that THIS fear would be OP than the current one right?
