Possibly the worst instance design, ever. (although there’s some competition)
What you need to do is not at all obvious. Even after googling it to find out what I needed to do, I just about gave up before finally succeeding, because the boss moves so much faster than you do and the range of the bloodstone beam is limited that it’s extremely difficult to solo this instance.
edit: LOL. I just realized I was moving so slow because I left run mode. Accidentally hit the toggle key during combat because it’s right next to the – key I need to keep hitting. Still, this instance needs to at least be clearer about what you need to do.

So – looks like the devs like Game of Thrones then…..
We get to choose between The Night’s Watch, Kingsguard and The Unsullied
If I can’t vote for “Tybalt’s Apples”, who cares?
Allow me to answer and bump the thread. Yes, I have the elite specialization on the third line. No traits at all yet, but the spec says right on there “Warhorn Proficiency: You can wield the warhorn weapon.” In my inventory, the warhorn does not indicate at all that it can’t be used. Still can’t equip it.
edit: also hear a warhorn sound effect when I double-click to equip, even though the weapon isn’t equipped.
I love the new maps. They feel so huge, and there’s so much potential for siege weapons… Too bad it’s a ghost town. Having 2 of the wvw dailies be impossible to complete (but still popping up almost every single day) is just the icing on the cake. I guess GW2 is just an e-sport now. Go pvp or go home. :-p
[Guild Hall] Shovel Problem for Small Guilds
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: wolfger.3467
I’m just glad to hear small guilds are able to claim halls. From reading the wiki I was thinking that was going to be near-impossible for a small guild to do. It really feels like Anet screwed us small guilds over in a big way with HoT.
OK, I played through it one more time after reading this thread…. Gixx is there.Talking to him, he only says “Hello.” Then I run up to Sieran, run through the cinematic again, no progress again, green star still showing over Sieran on the map, talking to Sieran or Kekt produces nothing useful. Reading the AC info-mail does nothing.
edit: I noticed that I did not yet have the Point of Interest for this location, even after entering on the personal story several times. I ran in to get it and said “what the heck, let’s try again” and then it worked properly. Coincidence?

Still bugged. sigh When the guy you need to talk to isn’t even present, that makes things difficult.
Good on you, OP. I was going to post something similar. Maybe this will drive the prices down a bit. 25s per vial of powerful blood is just silly.
LOL. It’s 45 silver now… Is this still a viable farm? A lot changed in 2 years.
I can’t believe this bug is 2 years old with no solution. I haven’t been experiencing it for that long, but I’ve had it for a while now, and it’s sucking my enjoyment out of the living world story.
Logging out to character select and back in fixed it for me.
Lamest Living Story release, ever.
It’s really very sad that this thread started 2 months ago and it’s still bugged.
we are temporarily delaying access to the rewards that would have otherwise been available on the Battle Historian on June 3rd. We hope this will help prevent further compounding the issue, and avoiding unnecessary confusion
What massive fail in logic is this? “We hope to prevent compounding the issue by screwing EVERYBODY over, and we hope to avoid unnecessary confusion by giving people a vendor who doesn’t work.”??? Oh, and we’ll bury these facts on the forums, and not make a news announcement about it that everybody would see.
I LIKE MEGA SERVERS… KEEP IT ANET!.. THANKS! Im sure majority of players are out there enjoying it instead of complaining on these forums..
Ah, yes…. The old “everybody who isn’t saying anything agrees with me” approach. Love it. Of course, we could also assert that most players hate it, and just can’t be bothered to complain here when there’s already 29 pages of comments.
I am loving the megaserver, but there are some down-sides to it, which can mostly be addressed:
1) It’s no longer possible for wvw to shout (meaningfully) into LA (or Vigil Keep) for assistance. (Solution: add a Server chat option)
2) I can’t find my guildies on the world map even if we are in a party, unless we are already in the same map. (Solution: should be very simple to ensure party members arrive in the same instance as each other, and almost as easy to fix the world map so it shows our little blue dots like it used to. Adding different color dots for guildies and friends would be a bonus, but not strictly needed)
3) Areas that used to be popular are no longer really worth going to. Too many people are flooding the area, and getting in on an event or champ kill before it’s over becomes downright difficult in some cases. (solution: ???)

That’s a really annoying way to start off a 1,000 gem purchase: <double-click> “This content has been temporarily disabled.”
Would be nice if Anet would give us an official answer… I don’t want to open my chests now and get a bunch of unusable junk (like the glory booster I got 2 days before glory boosters became worthless, to toss on my stack of 100 other glory boosters), but if the chest are going away, better to open now and get skins than nothing later.
If you go to WVW for loot it is stupid and pointless. Go farm champs and events. I usually end up spending 1-2 g every time in WvW on camps and structure upgrades.
But that’s exactly the point… WvW should be able to pay for itself, not be a massive gold-sink. I agree with OP, to a certain degree. By only rewarding damage and not support skills, we wind up with mindless zergs of people using the biggest AoE they possibly can, instead of maybe actually putting some thought into their builds. Every time I stop to help a downed friend, I’m thinking about the loot I’m missing out on, as the people around me ignore the fallen and keep spamming the attack. Sure, a good team needs attackers as well as defenders, but why reward one so much more heavily than the other?
Are the queues really that bad?
No. Not most of the time. And even when they are, there’s still The Edge. I have been enjoying both wvw and pve much more since coming to HoD. Of course, if you come too, that will be too many… :-D
Do you know how annoying it is to be moved five times in a day to the losing team after you insured the victory for your current team?
I know exactly how annoying it is: Not annoying at all! In fact, I always volunteer if given the chance. Why? Because if I volunteer to switch, I know I’ll still get credit for the win. And if I switch to the losing team and manage to make that team win the match, even better. I really don’t understand what your issue is at all.
The Anet logic is horrible. “We told you we’d be getting rid of glory, so you should have used those boosters.” So, what, I should quit my job to use up the 50-some hours worth of boosters I have left? I don’t pvp enough to use the amount of boosters I have. Throw a dog a bone and give people something for the boosters. Why does Anet have to be so lame about compensating us? It’s not like it would kill them or the game balance to throw a little glory on our stack for each unused booster.
Devona’s Rest: a target-rich environment. :-)
Replace Stonemist with the world’s largest supply camp, and no re-take timer.
They told us we would be compensated, and they told us that the MF would shift to account-based. Neither have occurred.
No clue what you’re talking about. I got compensated (more or less) and MF is most definitely account based now. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. They never said that if you had 100% MF before you’d keep 100% MF. Your MF got traded in on other bonuses. (compensation)
Plus, the Pirate runes I’ve been collecting went from really valuable to complete garbage.
If you don’t want ‘em anymore, I’ll take them off your hands. I still rather like my superior pirate suit, and would be happy to have a set for another character….
Utilities you have Judge’s intervention which is a teleport and damage. You can also use Signets. Bane can be used as a knock down, and Wrath has a immobilize.
Immobilize never seems to last long enough.
That being said, I PvE with a Sword/Torch Guardian with Judge’s Intervention and “Save Yourselves!”. That’s 2 teleport skills, two (short/med) range attacks, and one swiftness buff. I put staff as the alt weapon for a ranged attack that can hit 5 at once (to make sure I snag as much loot/xp as possible in mob fights). Now if I could just stop the ranger in my party from knocking the monsters away from me…. <grumble>
