With the megaservers, I don’t think it really matters what server you’re on.
I just turned 50 this year.
I’ve been fighting cancer for 3 years now, so I haven’t been able to work. What else is there for me to do other than play video games?
The main reason people champ train in Weeniedale is not because it’s a starting area, not because it drops t6 resources, not because it drops 5s a champ bag, but because it’s fast. 4 champs in 10 minutes. It’s hard to beat that sort of speed and still be efficient.
SE Path 1, 5 champs in about 5 minutes. Over twice as effective as any train there is.
Not everyone wants to go through the hassle of finding a dungeon group.
Personally, I love the train.
I can jump on whenever I want for however long I want.
I can go afk whenever I need to without slowing anyone else down.
I can often find banners up at Boar…even if I’m off to do some exploring, I’ll stop by Boar first to grab some buffs.
The train is fine. Leave it alone.
Queensdale train is still chugging along, minus Spider who was demoted.
I would love to have a mount for my guardian since he has no speed boosts.
Just a 25% speed boost mount would be appreciated by us guardians and engineers.
You don’t have to r-click to see if the skin has been unlocked or not. Just hover over it; the tooltip will tell you.
This must be a bug. Hopefully it has been reported and will be soon fixed.
We were big fans of that movie because it was the FIRST movie to combine cartoons and live action,
What, you never saw Mary Poppins?
To this day I can’t look at a penguin without thinking of that dance scene.
I always use the word ‘character’. Whenever someone says ‘char’ I think it means Charr.
It seems like everyone has a charr. Must be the most played race!
If you want a nice quiet place, there is always Ebonhawke Stronghold.
I really don’t see why more people don’t hang out there.
I fail to see why anyone at Anet or in the forum population thinks this will populate dead-zones.
If I go to Brisban Wildlands during a non-peak time, I might find one person on the map with me. So after “Megaserver” goes live, there might be 12 if I’m lucky. Maps are dead because there’s no reason to be on them. Server population doesn’t play a huge role in that. A high pop server might have 15 people on the map while a low pop has 2.
How about making a reason for people to be on those maps, rather than this system that seems to have disaster written all over it. Hey, I’ll give it a try, but Megaserver or not, I’m still not going to want to be on maps where theres nothing to do.
I agree with this 100%
An empty zone is an empty zone, no matter how many servers are merged together.
We need new things to DO out in the world.
All rewards in this game are based around loot. But we never have any use for the loot. Gear progression is capped and the best skins are specifically farmed for/purchased
.
Keep dropping crafting materials – but please introduce a loot system that we can actually use…
Once you salvage the loot that drops, it becomes crafting materials.
Seriously – mounts are a bad idea. The game doesn’t need them – why would we have them?
For long distance travel we have waypoints.
For short distance we can run.
They serve no purpose.
For looks. And bragging rights. No different than the flying broom and the undergrounddredgething you can buy for gems.
Is this for everyone? or did you have to buy gems in the recent past?
Thank you all for the helpful and detailed responses!
Running the -repair fixed it.
Being a refugee from the Warcraft forums, I must say that the community of this game is restoring my faith in humanity! You guys are awesome
Why is it, for the past few days, every time I launch the game it downloads something that is 10622kb?
Is this happening to anyone else, or am I the only lucky one?
What I meant by pvp server is that anvil rock is the unofficial pvp server (most people who play on it participate heavily in pvp and not pve)
Good pve servers are: tarnished coast, Blackgate, Jade quarry. They also have pretty a heavy wvw followings
And speaking of “unofficial” server types, Tarnished Coast is the unofficial Role Playing server.
If you enjoy RP, thats the place to go.
if you’re the only member, if you use the “stand down” button, the guild will be disbanded and everything will be lost.
You mean the “leave guild” button, don’t you?
Why run? Defeating the resulting mobs is pretty darn easy – and I’m not even good at the game!
That depends of which mob you get. Some are easy. Some, you’re better off running.
If you delete all your characters, you can restart on any server. You will keep everything in your bank and all your gold.
Or you can spend gems to transfer. I believe the cost is determined by the server population. 1800 gems will get you on a Very High Pop server.
It all depends on which you prefer to play.
Try them all.
Myself, I love my necro.
Thank you Thank you Thank you!
I never had any idea what to do there. Usually spend all my time helping rez others (until I die).
I only got a quaggan backpack.
Why did I get this? (not that I’m complaining or anything…)
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/players/How-can-you-level-up-fast/first#post3431118
In all honesty, don’t be in a hurry. There is no real “end game” content. The only really advantage about being max level is better looking armor/gear.
I’m wondering if this is possible (and if so, how)?
I have 2 accounts. Right now I’m on two different servers, but could easily move everyone to one server, if that is an issue. I’m wondering if the accounts could be “merged” so I could share account-bound items and possibly even the bank.
I leveled an alt in cooking from 0-400 a few days ago (using the guide Lexy linked). I already had a lot of the low level materials, but had to buy all the higher level stuff. It cost me about 3-4 gold.
My runes (superior rune of the elementalist) gives me +20% burning duration.
My sigil (superior sigil of smoldering) gives me +10% burning duration.
Do the bonus stack? Will I be getting +30% burning duration? Or will the runes overide the sigil?
Found one in Malchor’s Leap last night. Touched it twice. Both times I got pushed back, no damage, and got a text box that said “can’t you read?”
My message is always “What part of Do Not Touch can’t you understand”.
Other than guesting to that server and checking it out yourself, what would you accept as proof?
Queensdale zerg is a good way. And you get lots of nice loot, too!
Thanks so much, I was not expecting such friendly and detailed replies.
I will apply this information well, thanks again!
Thats another thing you’ll find here…people are so much nicer!
I agree with this 100%!
I’ve been playing fro almost 2 weeks now (another WoW refugee), and all I can say is I love this game!
