You three keep making unfounded, often completely incorrect (Chopps especially) posts in the Ranger forums and make no efforts to prove any of your claims (and to many of us it’s obvious why).

I am getting tired of the misinformation garbage going on.

If you want to claim something on the Ranger is good, do like Sol does and make videos of yourself using it with great success against non-baddies.

If you don’t have the skills to do this, I’m not sure why you’re trying to expound upon how any build is good as a baddie isn’t going to get much of a different result from different builds (Thieves excluded … but that class is a dumb anomaly)

I’ve mained ranger from headstart, and consider myself pretty good, but there is no denying that classes like thiefs etc can destroy zerker builds if theyre atleast half competent.

Sure, a LFG inside the game would be nice, but for now stop crying and use gw2lfg.com
It works perfectly, and I have never needed more than a few minutes to find a party using the website.

Ok, i have played a dozen matches in PvP ,and i have goofed off in WvW a bit . I must say, the build is pretty kitten awesome . I have been using the variant that i suggested btw , burnt 10 gold in 5 minutes to buy the gear that i needed .

Honestly the cycle is insane , not to mention the perma fury . I had a bit of an issue in closed spaces because i am used to shortbow greatsword-sword m but man did pretty much everyone drop . I had a couple of close calls vs necromancers, because i was to stingy to eat my poultry soup , and guardians are unkillable when in bunker form, but they cant touch you either so i suppose thats ok . Thiefs die in 1 cycle . He can run or die .

While it is true that some dungeon paths are challenging, most of them are moderatily or even very easy. Like someone in this thread said before, probably about 95% of the people in-game can do all these easy paths without much effort, and appearantly your guild mates belong to the bottom 5%.
About money.. don’t expect to have alot of spare cash around when you level so many alts and want to give them all full exotic gear etc. Ofcourse having alot of alts is your choice, but expect there to be some consequences. For me, 10 to 20 gold a day by just playing the game, doing some world bosses and dungeons is very easy, and doesn’t even take that much time.
As for the guild missions, these were, like someone already said before, implemented to give large guilds something to do together. An activity meant for more than 5 people, like dungeons. (Check the last news btw, theyre implementing something for smaller guilds aswell, so that should solve part of your problem with it).
Afterall, some things take a bit of practice, which is how things should be. Think about it, if every dungeon would be so easy that you wouldn’t have to think about anything, varying from positioning to which skills you use, (which is already the case in some dungeon paths imo) wouldn’t that be very boring?

As far as MF goes, only use MF gear if you are soloing things.
If you run MF gear in dungeons or fractals, you are hindering your party, and aren’t contributing much to the run other than leaching drops.

Like Gaiyeerishima Cat I run a pretty much full glass-cannon build in fractals, taking the quickness on pet swap with me. It has worked very well for me up to the high 30’s so far.
As for traits I use 20/25/10/0/15, taking the faster recharge on survival skills and the faster pet swap from BM. Gear is full berserker with runes of the ranger.
Utility skills: Quickening Zephyr, Search and Rescue and Sig of the Hunt/Frost Spirit
Elite: Rampage as One.
The fact that pets dont have AR is kind of annoying, but apart from the Maw I manage to keep my pets alive most of the time utilizing the lower cooldown on pet swap.
Ofcourse going full glasscannon means you will have to be able to dodge well.

But before doing this i am wondering if it has any special effects, like different kind of arrows or anything like that. In my opinion the most boring class in the game. In PvE do not need any body movements, because pet tanks. In pvp immediately felt drawdown of damage compared to other classes. Immediately confused very low figure of damage. There is absolutely no freedom of traits choice. Class pet mechanic forces to give it all possible attention. All mandatory traits are those that improve your pet. Because YOU are a pet of your pet. This is the class style. That’s why ranger itself have lowest(!) damage of all.
To be honest, i played a lot by all classes, and ranger is only with which i more want to go vine forum than play game. It creates a sense of the most unfinished class in all game. But some people are even happy with it. So, you should really try. That’s not too long

No offense, but this is one of the more laughable posts I have seen thus far on the ranger forums.
I main the ranger, and have about 300 hours played on it. I can tell you right away, that the ranger definitely does not have the lowest damage of all classes, not even close.
You probably just used the wrong skills/armor/weapons, but don’t say stuff that is so far from the truth.
I personally use short-bow/longbow, have full exotic berserker’s gear. Glass-cannon build, but thanks to the pet it’s quite easy to stay alive.
As for having to control the pet, there is not much to it really. All I ever do is swap my pet every 20 seconds for quickness (trait) and use the f2 skill. The fact that you have 2 pets makes it less nessecary to keep your single pet alive at all times.
So no, the pets are not a pain to control, it’s easy.
As for rangers at short range, i always use a short-bow. In pvp with my build and a shortbow, i can down a player using QZ(quickening zephyr) in literally less than 4 seconds (low damage?, yea not.).
I have tried the greatsword, but find the damage laughable. The sword is alright, but the auto-attacks bind you in place which is quite annoying, so I never use that.
So as far as melee weapons on a ranger go, I would not recommend them, but it is up to you ofcourse.
