As Indo leads the server meetings that happen before reset, I doubt they’d be participating on a reset night, especially since tomorrow there is also a server event planned before the reset.

You should double check with him or one of their officers.

Unless i got the wrong TW/TWL i’m sure they are participating. Multiple officers/cmders told us they were interested and will be there.

We’re down to do GvG’s tomorrow 2 hours before reset to any guild that shows up! Lobby will be set at windmill ramp south camp on Jade Quarry Borderlands.

Preferably keeping match-ups to sizes between 20-30 and about 9 rounds. Let me know if you can make it and if want to know more about the details.

you’re free to think what you wish, i’m just letting you know the reason why our GM didn’t list them in the guilds that we want to fight.

You say you respect TW as players and would love to fight them, but then turn around and refuse to include them in the list of guilds you want to fight. I mean you do realize there are third person parties you can go to, to communicate.

your post makes it seem as if i made my statements previously, and then somehow made the list myself. i did not, my GM made the list, he was the one who recieved personal attacks from members of TW, not me.

To be clear, I am not a leader, nor an officer in the guild, I am a member, nothing more. When i say that we have respect for TW, that is the opinion of me, and several others in the guild, but when your GM decided to personally attack my GM with whispers, he closed a door that cannot be so easily reopened.

Do you want to GvG EMP? maybe someone from your guild should make a post saying that instead of “witty” remarks about precursors. I am really trying to keep this diplomatic, so please try and do the same.

So does EMP want to GvG against TW tonight or any time that we can get together? Send me a PM whether yes or no on the forums as I’m at work right now so we can set this up.

Epic fight. Pretty impressive you guys won that tbh, spawn camp fight almost 15minutes and they kept reinforcing.

Still wish the rendering would work better anybody know any setting adjustments besides setting things to low

Hmm, so its holiday time and as usual people jump to conclusions of declines. For those of you that don’t care about RL I guess that would be your conclusion.

For others its been a great fight and we will see you all after the holidays.

As for the rest of you that will be skipping sleep even during the holidays lets keep the battles mean and clean.

Looks like WvW is getting a little more quiet with the holidays.

Well, I apologize for the part my posts played in closing the last thread and solomnly promise not to debase or critisize servers in general.

Now, i think this is on topic, i hope so.

There are several top BG guilds willing to GvG, especially later in the week, if other guilds were to privately contact the their leaders. So far the rules have been to keep specifics and bragging off the forums, and Im sure they will stay that way.

There was fun, and good sportsmenship to be found, and no chest thumping or flameing as a result. Good times overall i think.

Anyway, hope that’s on topic.

Please PM me in game so that I can pass this on in the game to our leader and we can set this up.

BG this type of response is why your server gets a bad name. There are many respectable players and guilds that are on your server but things like this is really bring you down.

Always funny to see guilds talking about other guilds leaving the map after they get wiped when they are the ones that actually do that. We lost count at how many times a certain guild left every map last week after wiping them over and over. They turn tail and run if there is even 5 defenders a tower. The only time I’ve ever seen them wipe anyone is pugs. This is what this guild does, they run from a fight, wait till 10 pugs chase them then turn around and portal bomb the 10 pugs, then they high five each other as if they did something great. LOL

Definitely don’t know any guilds that do it on SoR

It is strange to me that instead of working on recruitment and getting better organized, some on SOR are complaining about low levels in Wvw?

Can’t you see that a lvl 50 learning WvW means a lvl 80 that knows what he’s doing in a few weeks?

And if that lvl 50 has a lvl 80 that he “should” be playing in WvW and that player is already skilled, then you are missing the advantage that having skilled WvW with multiple lvl 80s brings to the table in terms of flexibility.

Either way, you guys aren’t thinking long term. You complain about coverage gaps in one post, then about players in training in the next.

BG EB’s PUGs are the best in the game. These guys rally behind commanders, always bring supply, flip camps/NPCs, rally to defence in 1 call, call out incomings and enemy zerg locations, all without being asked. This is a big reason for BGs dominance in EB. This is the result of people logging on and lvling a character only by WvW. And you want to discourage that?

If you are feeling unloved on SOR leveling an alt or two, yes, head over to BG. He said sarcastically “they apparently need you there”. Yes, we do. We aren’t #1 in tier 1 yet. Because THAT is what we are playing for. Not 2nd place in tier 2. We are growing, moving, training. Building our server alliance, our guilds and our PUG base. He implies they don’t want you. Well come to where you are appreciated, because in the long run, being happy with 5th place will get you in IOJ’s shoes, mass transfers off your server.

Come on over, play whatever toon you like. We have a good time on BG.

I have to agree on lvling alts, but disagree that you should transfer to BG. Alts are very important to your guild and the server. I for one have 5 toons already and only one is missing lvl 80 status. It makes the game a lot more fun. As far as SOR not liking people on their alts, that should never be generalized as the server mentality just because 1 player thinks so. Try running with a few organized guilds and listen in on our TS. You will see that it is fun, especially those open field battles that BG and IoJ occassionaly provide before they trasffer maps after being wiped a couple of times.

No one gives up. Same people in WVW day in, day out, including nights. Heck some skipping sleep. :P

I have a life steal tanky build that relies more on lifesteal while keeping HP at base value. Still manage to maintain a a good DPS with it.

Axe/Axe, with either hammer or sword shield. depending on my situation.

^Agreed. Its too much fun seeing thieves take themselves out on retaliation and arrogant eles dying in 2-3 hits.

I would say get all of your utility slots except for your elite and then head out to wvw. They you should be able to do well even if you are in small squads

Im getting a little confused as to where SoR and BG borderlands are they are all the same color. BG guilds come out come out and play show us where your borderland is

Also it’s not only SoR which has the full status. All the tier 3 and higher servers have it, in addition with the other servers normally being listed as “Very high population”. Yesterday while checking all GW2 servers I only noticed 2 of them below “very high” and both were EU servers. In all honsty it feels more as if GW2 lowered the populations allowed on servers, or hasn’t done a clean up of accounts which were bought, played and haven’t logged in since August.

A good way Anet could fix it is if an account is not logged in and actively played for more then 30days, it becomes serverless. Allowing more active people to go to servers and new players to GW2 to have more of a choice as to which they can go. Along with allowing the returning player provided they return to GW2 to pick a server, or even add an option to allow them to return to their old server.

Dunno, I ramble to much…blame being sick. :x

I think that this is a viable idea. It would split some people from their guilds if they had some reasons for extended absences, but that could possibly be fixed with a switch in options or something along those lines

I don’t how some of the commanders on SoR do it. I swear they must have caffeine drip IV’s. The only problem I see now is there are a bunch on newb commanders I have never seen before running around. Logging into the battleground and seeing 5 or so commander icons on could be confusing to people who don’t normally W3. Probably should cull some of them down.

Sleep is overrated anyway

The fights this week are truly enjoyable and fun. I have learned a lot from enemies and friends alike this week. Looking forward to many more battles soon
