I hate how everybody is saying the nerf was for “celestial eles”.

It wasn’t. It was for specifically /D and took away some of the burns pressure, which had eles that utilized D/D in an overly strong position.

I don’t like the cantrip might strip or the blind reductions, but oh well.

Scepter I can’t speak for. I feel like its niche like it always has been, and no amount of buffs will change that.

It is. Don’t you see this nerf?
Renewing Stamina: Increased the recharge from 5 seconds to 10 seconds.

Not even mention this is ele’s major trait unlike others are just minor trait.
Ele has lowest base health and lowest armor, so we spend our major trait for our survivability.

FGS as any other Flame walls didnt work as itnended, they mealt “things” if they stay in them, Anet clearly state tha was not working as intended. It was bug that was fixed stop cry bcos we could abuse it.

2nd
1 skill as Ice bow Overshadow mesmer/rangers/necros/engis as whole classes by dmg/support, upon that with 2 ele (hi meta) you can use 4 bows at one, and with thief sword basicaly perma deep frost bosses.

Atm problem is not that Mesmer/rangers/Necros or Engi being weak, its more that Ele is highly op with AOE hit boxes and utility with Bows.

But ele conjure weapon cant be droped or you lose it, there is no point to bring it if it is not more powerful than ele original weapon skills. (earth shield, flame axe)
Only if they make conjure weapons work like warrior banners, then it will be justify to not more powerful.

Rime-Rimmed Rebreather Sadness

Didn’t accepting the item unlock the skin on your account? You won’t get the same stats, but you should at least be able to get the skin via transmutation.

Unfortunately, no. The ‘skin’ is the same as the default so it is automatically unlocked. The item though is the one with the particle effect. If I cant equip the item/move it, then it doesn’t work.

Wardrobe is useless.

Yup. Wardrobe is useless if they start making special effect come from item itself.
It’s like making legendary’s special effect come from legendary item itself instead of come from the skin.

Very disappointed.

Rime-Rimmed Mariner's Rebreather skin bugged?

Rime-Rimmed Mariner’s Rebreather only unlock the “Cloth Aquabreather” atm.
Since Rime-Rimmed Mariner’s Rebreather has the ice crystals effect, shouldn’t it count as different skin?

Why was boon duration nerfed so badly? You guys left +45% bleed duration for condi classes, but you screwed over anyone who relied on boon duration for buffs. Now the max we can get is 20%…really?

A little healing when you use a heal skill or extra heals on allies isn’t enough to make up for the 25% boon duration that we’re now missing. A lot of people built for this in WvW – guardians and elementalists especially – and I fail to see how it was so OP that it needed such a massive nerf.

Positive side…the Krait runes are very nice for condimancers in WvW now. Didn’t see any other runes that seem to have been made much more worthwhile. I like the small stat increase on the 5th bonus of each rune though.

We know that some builds rely on mixing and matching different runes to optimize a given stat, and we don’t want to stop players from doing that. Rather than limiting build diversity, we simply want the PvE rune system to be as clear and approachable as possible for new players, so we’re making it easier to understand the benefits of sticking with a single rune set.

But this is what they did.

All told, it feels to me like this is a step even further away from the initial promotion of the game where it was said that players could play the game as they wanted to and have rewarding experiences regardless of their choice. In the auto “server” assignment system, it seems like you’re going to essentially have to choose the type of play style you want in advance and then stack your deck in hopes of being able to play that way. Want to RP? Cool, just be forced into an RP guild and stack your friends list with known RPers even if they aren’t your friends! Want to do organized group content? Cool, just be forced into joining a specific guild and be around at the exact time that group is doing their content otherwise be loaded into a totally random group of players who may have no idea what they’re doing because they’ve never played together before! Want to do regular open world events? Cool, but better hope that the new system doesn’t put you into a super heavily populated server where you’re forced into being a faceless zerg member and your system performance tanks! Etc.

I just mapped the world again – as i stated earlier. If you’re a newbie wanting to map, or a level 80 who’s mapping theres a few things you need to be aware of with the megaserver.
Lets say normally the map (say kessex) is just 3 people. Great, the centaurs are all there, the camps need clearing, doing hearts is easy as pie. Kill a centaur – heart begins to fill.
Now, i’m on TC and the camps had all been done, leaving a few scattered centaurs as the only way to fill the heart.
Now add a megaserver where theres 20 other people all killing the centaurs that are now a very rare spawn.
1) you better be doing enough damage to tag one before it drops. (low level char? denied!)
2) you’d better be kitten fast getting TO the centaur to tag it in the first place. (low level thief or non-haste ability? Denied!)
I had 3 other people farming the centaurs and even as a level 80 this was a kitten long heart to fill.
Now think of every heart that requires kills – grawl/skritt/risen – same situation. Guesting to quieter zones where events aren’t done is EXTREMELY handy while mapping. Now with the megaserver rollout those events will be basically perma-done. You’ll have to sit there and wait an hour for the event to reset.
Having a large chunk of people on every map is not actually a good thing, new players will be frustrated even in the very first queensdale event – kick a wurm mound – gets one-shotted by an 80 before you can touch it.
Huge frustration.
Also – revives for the heart, underwater kills for daily. Anything that requires kills in an area that suddenly has a load of extra people there for the same thing.

Totally aggre these two posts.
The better solution is let players choose using megaserver map or homeserver map.
Taken away the choice how ppl play the game is not a good idea.
Not everyone like mindless zerg.
Schedule boss will make world boss event much more boring and less motivate to do it again.

You calling GW2 as a dynamic world, but this change ruin it completely.
Schedule all the world boss is bad idea. We are playing game not working.
Teq and Evolved Jungle Wurm need fixed time because they need highly cooperate to success.
However other world boss is not.
Player should be able to choose Megaserver, homeserver or guest other server.
If ppl want to lvl alt, they can just choose megaserver.
KQ already got better mechanic for spawn atm, this change is totally a step backward.
With homeserver, I can notice other players are saving the tyria. With your new megaserver, tyria is dead, becasue everywhere is contested.
Players are hard to call help for event after this megaserver change.
All other feature pack make this game awesome, but this last one let this game become unplayable, unenjoyable.

5% Boon Duration instead of 15% on Ele

Nerfing 15% boon duration to 5% boon duration.
That’s definitely sending a message : We want to stop you from mixing and matching different runes to optimize a given stat.

Arcane VI – Renewing Stamina. Moved to Master tier.

Mesmer and Guardian can have same trait in Adept minor trait.
How is this most powerful trait available to them for only 5 trait to get, but ele have to invest 20 to get not to mention this trait for ele are major one.
Since ele as the squishiest profession in the game, this just don’t make any sense.

Conjure weapon bug been noticed since release, but it patched after teq come out.

Lingering Elements is bugged but not fix yet, it only work on certain trait.

Ele even got the worst skill “Magnetic Current(Trident 3)” in the game, the skill that you can interrupt yourself, pull you to the enemy, and then stun yourself for 2sec.
This skill don’t even do much damage either.

King Toad will reset health to full when we die once.
Storm Wizard’s True form will reset health to full, too.
But the platform still not coming back.
This is not found in patch note.
Is this a bug?

Questions for Devs on Ele

I think Magnetic Current and Magnetic Leap are more pointless. At least Magnetic Leap can use as Combo Finisher and can chase stealth enemy.

But Magnetic Current is the worst skill ever. You stun yourself for 2 sec and pull yourself to enemy.
This skill don’t even do damage to enemy……..

Glyph of Renewal still bug

Glyph of Renewal with air attunement still cannot revive target player with range in 1200.
Even though you don’t revive anyone successfully, CD is still 165 secs, not 4 secs.

Dynamic level adjustment bug

Dynamic level adjustment decrease attributes to lower level, but since my gears are still using the level 15 one.
While I level up, my attributes decrease even more than before.

This means if I don’t get the gear which fit my level, the whole game is getting harder.
If the gears’ level are not higher than area, then the attributes of its shouldn’t be adjust.
Players shouldn’t get punishment to play lower level map.
Dynamic level adjustment would be a good system, if this issue fixed.

Actually, Glyph of Renewal with other Attunement can still revive NPC, but not players.
Even though you don’t revive someone successfully, CD is still 165 secs.
While you are casting the Glyph of Renewal, your target being revived by others (with their F near it), and the skill will stop casting and CD 165 secs.
