I would like to propose a change to the waypoint cost. Using the waypoint should be free. The “money” goes into it is not tangible, and Anet cannot profit from it anyway. So the economic motive is moot.
My proposal is that if the toon (not account) has 100% map completion, the toon will travel for free. After all, the player spent the time and energy in explore the world Anet created completely, it isn’t a lot to ask. Any other toons will still pay the same rate until receive map completion.
I think this is a reasonable proposal.
As a veteran player, who started the game with the original trait system, I am very disappointed at the new system. All my toons made before the patch were fine. However, it is quite a pain to use the new trait system on a newly created toon.
I found it unacceptable and lacking consideration for Anet to force players to either explore or pay. If you choose to pay, the traits now cost a lot more gold than it used to, which is also ridiculous. Even if you only buy the ones needed, it will still cost more than before.
I am really hoping that this “unlocking trait” feature will go away soon. Very very annoyed by it, and really, not fun at all.
You can no longer farm BLKs…
RIP…sob
Yup, very similar situation here. My game pretty much just stopped responding 2 minutes ago.
Forum was lagging too…very strange.
Opening Dyes doesn’t ‘unlock’ them. Only using them on a character would do that. And remember, you must log onto each and all of your characters to find the duplicate dyes that would be mailed to you.
Make sure you delete any old mails and pick up any items waiting for you at the TP, as the game has some issues with queues.
Again, if all else fails, you can contact CS. Good luck.
Oh i see. thanks.
When I say unlocked, I mean had it “bound to the character” since dyes were character-specific before the April Feature Patch. Are you talking about dyes you opened, or dyes you had unlocked (the item was consumed and your character “ate” it).
Dyes that I opened. It would be repeated dyes if I have already unlocked.
Yes, I had quite a few of repeated dyes that I had unlocked already before.
So I was told by a friend that if you have had gotten repeated dyes in the past, Anet will send unidentified dyes based on the repeated dyes that you opened.
However, I logged in today, and I didn’t get anything.
Can someone shed lights on this subject?
Back to the OP:
The dyes are only given if you’ve UNLOCKED the same dye more than once. Example: I unlocked Heirloom on my Mesmer, my Thief, my other Thief, and my Guardian.
When I log onto my Mesmer, the game stores my dyes and shows them to me. I do not get any unidentified dyes.
When I log onto my Thief, the game sees that I have a duplicated dye unlocked. I get one unidentified dye.
When I log onto my other Thief, the game sees that I have a duplicated dye unlocked. I get one unidentified dye.
When I log onto my Guardian, the game sees that I have a duplicated dye unlocked. I get one unidentified dye.Now let’s go more in-depth:
On my Mesmer, I have:
Oxblood, Heirloom, Celestial.
On my Thief, I have:
Oxblood, Mithril, Peach.
On my Ranger, I have:
Mithril, Winter Ice, Sage.
On my Guardian, I have:
Winter Ice, Celestial, Peach. When I log in, for the first time (after the April 2014 Feature Pack Patch), the game stores my dyes. I do not remember if it takes ALL dyes, or just the dyes from my first character. Let’s pretend it’s just the first character. I go onto my Mesmer.
The game unlocks: Oxblood, Celestial, Heirloom.
I log onto my Guardian.
The game unlocks: Winter Ice, Peach.
I get 1 unidye.I log onto my Thief.
The game unlocks: Mithril.
I get 2 unidye.I log onto my Ranger.
I unlock sage.
I get 2 unidye.Does that make sense? (The unlocking part might be all done on my Mesmer, but it makes sense to understand it this way.)
Ok, so I think I do meet the requirements. My rangers have the most dyes, so a lot of repeated ones that I opened, I usually just gave it away. Where will the unidye be? Because I logged into my Guardian, and I don’t see any unidye…

After I made a Mystic Salvage Kit in the Mystic Forge, I noticed that I can put the Mystic Salvage Kit in the Mystic Forge again(it was still in the inventory when you use the Mystic Forge on the right). I just don’t know what I need, and what it will make, and I can’t find a recipe anywhere.
anyone has any idea?
It’s simple:
Power = Base dmg
Crits = 150% of Base dmg
Crit dmg = Bonus % on the 150% CritsIf you have 1000 Base dmg and you do a critical hit, it will do 1500 dmg. If you have 50% Crit dmg, it will do 2000 dmg (150% + 50% crit dmg = 200% of the base dmg)
The more base dmg (Power) and the more Crit dmg %, the higher your critical hits will get. Think about getting the sigill with the 25 Power stacks (+250 Power) too.
So is Sigil of Bloodlust better than Force?
also, is Runes of Scholar worth getting?
As a berserker build, should i try to increase my power along with my critical damage?
If I have higher power, then i will do more critical damage, is that right?
need someone answer this. thank you.
Berserker Ranger, and I am wondering which set is better?
my friend was telling me that the extra power i get from scholar won’t make a difference in my dps, because my dps mainly comes from critical damage, so i should maximize my critical damage instead.
anyone else agree with this?
or can someone tell me how critical damage works? and how does it relate to power?
thank you.

While I was in Super Adventure Box, my game reset, which I assume that it was from the game update. Then after I installed the update, I cannot zone in, even though my party is still inside. Please look at the screenshot, and that’s what the error message said.
We are still having argument regarding this matter. I confirmed it myself, but others seem to disagree.
I am sure that you only get one normal chests (ex. big boss chest), and one bonus chest (with the guaranteed rare inside) per day, per account only. Doing it twice the same day before reset will result in nothing, no normal chest or bonus chest.
However, others have been saying that you can still get a normal chest, just no bonus chest.
someone please confirm. Thank you.
I sold something, so I have money there ready to get picked up. However, no matter how many times I click “Take All”, nothing happens.
anyone else had the same problem?
This is purely for funsies.
Implement about 10 different dances for each race, and everytime you type in “/dance”, the character will randomly dance one of the 10 dances.
more fun and more creativity!!
Before with a karma booster +50%, a banner +5%, i was getting 680 karma from a karma drop…
Today, I got a 10% banner, plus my karma booster, only gave me 640 karma…why is that?
can someone answer that for me?thank you.
The guild karma bonus would be consistent with the numbers given.
680 is 170% of 400, so it would have been the 50% booster, 5% banner, and 15% from the guild bonus.
Without the guild bonus, 160% of 400 would be 640.
ooohh…k. Thank you, aren’t you the wise one :-)

Sounds like your missing the new one in Strait of Devastation. It’s in the water just north of Elysium Beach.
Edit to provide better directions.
I will double check. thanks.
So I know that there has been waypoints added in recent patches. I got one left. I got the one in Cursed Shore, at the very south of the map, and ones in Brisband and Plains of Ashford for the guild missions.
Anyone know where the last one is???
thanks!
I have the same issue. I already submitted the bug report, but would need another in-game mail also.
thank you.
