When you use the Lightning Hammer in a Zerg while not having a target it’kitten rate is extremely low.
Could others (maybe even a dev) confirm this too.
Reduce mobility
Increase active by 15-20%
Heal per second only while taking or delivering damage.
The ability to remove ones self so effectively from battle and passively heal up is a significant contribution to the problem imo. By increasing the active and eliminating the out of danger passive your giving me the option to stay in the fray (as intended) or step out and heal up (loosing the passive). There is no risk vs reward when I can simply step out of a situation so frequently (short CD disengages) when it gets hairy.
I vote for it to stay, so we’re all reminded why community feedback isn’t taken too seriously.
I decided to mess around with the lighting hammer last night in wvw zergs for fun.
I found that when moving through a blob and swinging, the hammer was not or very rarely connecting with anyone. I checked my combat log and it said the same. Certainly not like moving though a blog on hammer wielding Warrior or Guardian.
Anyone else tried and noticed this? Is it intended? Is it a bug? Am I doing it wrong (other than using a LH in the first place)
I have auto target and meles assist off.
Thief: Dodge CnD, don’t let him stealth.
If he’s smart he’ll use a mob or your elite ele.
If its not a full out of combat reset then your problem is signet.
I use ether so I can cleanse the blind and try to finish in air so I can shocking aura the opener.
Try to roll in earth.
You can also take 10 out of water and put it into air for the burst and 20% dmg on targets below 33% health.
Consider sigil of energy, even with perma vig its still nice.
It may be popular but I don’t like using battle/force without the extra burst from air or fire is nice.

ANet: Please split RTL functionality so it’s 20 sec c/d outside of sPvP for all scenarios.
Distance needs increasing too, or alternatively change the name too Ride The Sneeze. I certainly don’t prefer the later but I’m sure laughter will ease the pain.
The sad part is RTL nerf just got the opposite result.
You can still use RTL to escape…. you can t afford using it to engage…..
RTL is a pretty bad escape tool. I can’t think of class that cant catch you or keep hitting from range.

I understand that filtering through the rubbish on forums is a tough task especially for a dev (wtb Regina), so things are going too get overlooked.
I’m still super surprised this hasn’t been addressed in the form of an explanation at least. Although I would have expected a revert given the current state of other classes.
Anet seem to be getting better at explaining changes so they appreciate that players are capable of understanding coherent (for the most part) logical.
Chalk this one down to human error. :-(
Edit: one thing being broken in one institution is fun imho. I see no reason to twist knickers over it.

So I play a guardian and I use a friends warrior often. Love the guardian, + buffs inc :-).
Anyway I decided to lvl an ele because I enjoyed playing it back when the game launched before taking a break.
Could someone point me to the dev post explaining the nerfs to RTL?
The cool down mechanic is weird. I can Rush on the warrior every 20 seconds regardless of connecting with something (dodge omg). The distance on RTL also got reduce? I can tele(sword 2,10sec cd) then JI further on my guardian than I can RTL then flash on an ele?
I really can’t find logic in it so I’m hoping long time ele’s could enlighten me.
Just a note.
As a long time competitive WOW pvper I have to say that gw2 does a decent job of balancing in comparison to most MMO’s. MMO’s are tough to balance because of the emotional involvement those that balance the game naturally develop with classes. After all MMO’s are built to do just that and no matter how subjective one tries to be emotion will always come into play.

I really like the burst from air.
I’m having a problem with Engineers while WvW roaming.
I do quite well against most but I have a problem with;
Thief- invis regen reopen pistol bs.
War- omg my health is actually going down gtfo mobility.
But those Engineers just ruin me 8/10 times. Not including the terrible players.
Any advice to help me deal with Engineers would be much appreciated.

HA! Great video. I’ll be sure to take SyG when attempting the puzzles. Maybe I’ll take sanctuary, judges intervention, a Hammer and a shield for flavor.

Not including a move from guardian to warrior or ele.
I use this veraition, its nice for roaming. Swap out some traits and it holds up in zergs.
It would be great if someone could make it better. My experience is limited.
The 15 in radiance is for the stats and the blind > vul >kill > repeat is nice for blind/justice blind/burn/might burst.
I use JI because I like it and hate people getting away from me.
I someties swap to GS S/F or GS M/F.
