Well I looked a little bit on forum to see if I can find stuffs that can be done on my computer to have less lag in WvW, and more specifically when zerg is approaching.
I don’t know, was thinking about stuffs like reducing resolution, running error scan or defrag, virus scanning and malwares, playing in window mode or full screen ?
I even noticed that most of the time I freeze (for couple of seconds up to 10s) when I swap weapon and a zerg is near

I completed the new monthly achievement on April 2nd at 10:44 pm MST. Here’s a screenshot. I think the Monthlies should take longer to get. I wasn’t even tring to complete it, I was just playing.

I am interested by Cond/prec/though build, with staff and scepter + dagger (not sure about the dagger as offhand).

a bunker mesmer is a low damage mesmer … and if u have any guardian/warrior in party.
I think they will get all the agro on them.
And I am interested to know how can you control the mobs ? r u using focus a offhand ?
well how often a mesmer gets hit in PVE/dungeons ?
as EsLafiel said at the end … retalation will be more important for mesmer in PVP

I always though that the damage dealt, won’t depend on your own condition damage

Hi all,
I noticed that yesterday night on my engineer while trying some build in heart of the mist.
when I equip a kit (grenade or flamethrower), my PVP weapons disappear and I see the normal weapon I use in PVE or WvW !!!
my sigils didn’t work at all … wasn’t even able to test my builds.
Anyone else noticed that ?

So if I have 25 stack of might ? will that be 25% more dmg ? or it is 1% for each TYPE of boon?

well I will try to be as objective as possible answering this question.
(made an eng as 2nd class and since then, I am always playing it)
Engineer is a versatile class with all the kits it can use.
so all depends on your traits, stats, skills and kits, eng can be really good in PVE as well as in PVP.
BUT, as we are a versatile class, we can’t be the TOP in each section, but we can be good in all of them.

Actualy static discharge build in PvE is much better than 100b war imo

I am not a big user of static discharge trait, but may reconsider it.
well If u want to be the top dpser in your party, then don’t play engineer (not saying that engineer can’t keep us with others)
When I play eng as grenadier, other than being good in AOE damage, I mainly look at the number of stack of vulnerability that I can put on boss … which is useful for all party
and as we are a versatile class, you can’t be very good in one thing, but at least we can be good in all
Well … engineer is one the class … if not the class that you can play in different ways.
that’s why I always keep an eye on the different build threads.

Yesterday i was in WvW when I crossed a Zerg of enemies (more than 20 of them), it took them a while to take me down.
I was running with 3.35K armor and 23K HP (with no food). It was really fun having all a zerg attention on you while your friendly zerg is attacking elsewhere.

I am then a little bit confused about the stat u see on hero panel.
If u use sigil of accuracy on main hand, u will see an increase of 5% in ur crit chance. But if u use sigil of accuracy on offhand, nothing changed. Not sure if it’s a display problem though.
does 5% accuracy and 5% damage stack together ? or only one sigil will be in use at once ?

I tried yesterday FT build with HGH trait and It was so easy for me to reach 20+ average stack of might.
my attack reached many time 3850 and with a good tank who succeed to pull all mobs to it … FT skill 1 is just nice. If it crits well, I was doing frontal AOE damage up to 5K on each mob. So I kinda enjoy it.
From another side, indeed there is a small problem (maybe I have to get used better to the range) with misses, which are higher on static objects.

I was saying that I use mainly sigil on str on rifle when running FT build with juggernaut (gain might for 15 seconds every 3 seconds, as long as you remain in this weapon kit.) and HGH trait, and while using skill 1 in FT and having many mobs in front, it will be easy to reach 20+ stacks of mights.
from the other side, I didn’t know that those 2 sigils (bloodlust and strength) work together if put on P/P or P/S. This something worth trying.
and did anyone try 2 sigils of strength on P/S or P/P ? will u get 60% chance on crit to gain might ?
I think if you are a FT engineer, as I am testing this build recently, I am almost 99% sure that the best is to go for sigil of Strength specially if you take the HGH trait from alchemy.
I was testing my new build yesterday in heart of the mist and depends on how many mobs you have, it can be really quick (was testing it on dummies, maybe will be dead if testing it on real mobs), to reach 20+ stack of might, which is by far more power than 25 stack of bloodlust sigil.
P.S: still need to test it on real mobs or in instance. probably tonight

I am more PVE oriented.
So i was more thinking about FT as alternative PVE build for might stacking.
yesterday I did my tests in heart of the mist and it seems easy to maintain a 20 stacks of might during combat.
I still need to try it in some high level instance and see how it goes

Hi all,
I am currently running a grenadier build with power/precision/critical damage stats.
I would like to know if my damage with Flamethrower will be good and acceptable with the same combination of stats.
I am kinda tired (fingers hurt) from spamming grenades and would like to try another build without the needs to change set.
I have also another set with armors (pow, vit, tough) and accessories (knight set, pow, prec, though)
I would like to know if Flamethrower build will work with any of those 2 sets, please say which one if better.
and if not, what combination of stats you would suggest.
and what other build i can play with my current armors and accessories set (something not grenades
)

well I did myself some tests yesterday by looking at the power changes when equipping a kit.
with Rifle as weapon: I am loosing around 240 attack when I equip a kit (tested it only on grenades)
if I used pistol only: only a slight decrease in power when I equip grenades.
pistol + shield : no changes in power
no weapon : my attack INCREASED when I equip grenade kit.
didn’t test it with 2 pistols.
I tried to find a logical explanation … by looking the different weapon damage, etc … but tbh … didn’t find any
what I meant by viable is: does it still make good damage compared to other damage made by other classes or other kits ?
and wow coglin … no need to make such a dissertation about what you consider about using “viable”.
