Let the skills be fun and let’s not get into balance debates please

Elementalist: Arcane Surge: arcane skills grant 1 stack of might and become blast finishers. Reduce the recharge of arcane skills by 90%. 8 second duration.

Engineer: Turret Signet: passive – your turrets have wheels and can travel with you. Turrets deal 50% less dmg. Active – plant your turrets in place, removing the damage reduction and granting turrets quickness. 10 second duration.

Guardian: Spirit Ward: Passive – grant protection, regeneration, and improved toughness to allies. Active – grant allies 4 seconds of invulnerability. When this ends, allies gain aegis.

Mesmer: Puppeteer: disorient your foe, causing movement to be reversed (moving forward=moving backwards, left=right, etc) 5 second duration

Necromancer: Ritualist: recharge death shroud. gain 50% life force, vigor, and stability.

Ranger: Beast Lord: summons secondary pet. Pets gain 10% additional damage and quickness. 5 second duration.

Thief: Shadow Swap: switch places with and immobilize target foe. Grants stealth and fury.

Warrior: Paragon: reduce the recharge of weapon swap by 100%. 8 second duration.

Here are my elites

Ranger: Stampeding Rhino

240s CD: Stow your current pet and summon a Stampeding Rhino for 30 seconds. The Rhino has the following skills and permanent stability.
Stampeding Charge (2): Tramples forward towards the target, knocking down all enemies and performing an AoE launch with +50% the launch distance when it ends.
Gore: Physical damage + bleeding
Quake: AoE knockdown + weakness around the Rhino
Protect the Herd: AoE Aegis to allies

Elementalist: Light Attunement

For 20 Seconds you attune to the Element of Light, blinding enemies and losing all conditions. Your weapons are replaced by a lightsword and focus. Allies around you gain aegis if you have elemental attunement traited.
Arcing Light: Swing your lightblade, double the range of a normal slash, hits 3 targets and causes vulnerability.
Light Spear: Fires a spear of light in a line, dealing damage and causing burning. Allies around the target lose 1 condition.
Faster than Light: Teleport to the target enemy, blinding them. You heal yourself and all allies around you on arrival.
Wall of Radiance: Creates a wall, allies that pass through it lose a condition. The next 10 projectiles to pass through the wall become beams.
Wormhole: Pulls all enemies to the targeted location.

Engineer: Chaingun Kit

Swap to a Chaingun weapon kit (same CD as other kits). Gains the following abilities:
Mow ‘Em Down: Move 33% slower but fire rapid fire bullets that deal consistent damage to an enemy at 900m and cause bleeding stacks rapidly. Asura laugh maniacally if firing for extended time.
Spray and Pray: Mow down the area in front of you in an arc, causing vulnerability and hitting up to 5 targets with consistent bursts of damage.
Explosive Shell: Fire a lobbing bomb at the enemy that causes knockdown and burning.
Barrel Smash: Melee attack that dazes an enemy. Gain Run and Gun and move at normal speed while firing Mow’ Em Down for 8 seconds if this skill hits.
Hook Shot: Fires a chain anchor to the enemy that pulls you to them.

Necromancer: Viral Strain

For 12 seconds you can only be affected by one single condition at a time. When you gain a new condition the old one is replaced. Your 1 skill on any weapon will apply the condition you are afflicted by to enemies.

Warrior: Choke

For 8 seconds melee your attacks interrupt skills. 30s CD.

Mesmer: Paranoia

For 12 seconds, confusion applied by you deals physical aoe damage other enemies near the target when triggered. 60 CD. Has custom quotes for affected races like “Ah! get it off me! GET IT OFF ME!” or “The Nightmare will never take me alive!”

Guardian: Armor of Justice

80sec CD. Encase yourself in a large suit of holy armor for 12 seconds. Burn all nearby enemies that get in proximity of you while the armor is active. Gain stability (every 3s refresh, retaliation (every 3 refreshs), and 2500 max hp while the armor is active. Conditions applied to you while you are wearing the armor have their effects reduced by 50%. Also looks incredibly cool.

Thief: Untouchable

Gain full stamina. For 8 seconds you can dodge without using any stamina. 80s CD.

Thanks, I was trying to keep the unique mechanics for each class in mind when I created the ideas. For instance:

Ranger: Powerful pet-based ability. And catapulting people with Rhino charge, yes! Would be epic in zergs.

Elementalist: New attunement. And light sword! Yay!

Engineer: Because every engineer should have a minigun.

Necro: Masters of condition control, they should have an elite to match.

Warrior: For added pressure and disruption “in your face” style.

Mesmer: Mass panic, people killing each other with their own skills, much laughter in vent. Very mesmer fitting.

Guardian: Burning, judgement, and heavy armor. All Guardian here.

Thief: Skill based sustain that doesn’t rely on stealth but fits the “you’ll never hit me” MO of the thief.

Guardian: Shield Guardian, for 10 seconds, you and nearby allies are healed for 1500ish when you lose aegis. End effect applies Aegis. 60 second cool down

Ranger: Strike as one, 15 seconds, when your pet hits with an attack, you do 60% of that damage. 90 second cool down

Thief: Shadow Shroud, 6 seconds. Going into stealth grants 3 initiative. Reveal only lasts 1 second. 120 second cool down

Engineer: Gadget. Energy Shield, create an Energy around you that absorbs projectiles and pulses AoE damage each second (600 radius). When it ends it explodes in a powerful blast (900 radius, 2X the damage). 4 seconds. Cool down 60 seconds

Elementalist. (This spell changes based on your attunement). 90 second cool down
Fire: Inferno, ground targetted spell. Lasts 8 seconds pulsing each second. Cause 3 seconds of Burning and does AoE damage.

Mantra. Meditate, charging a spell that will interrupt your foe.
Number of casts : 2.

→ Power Leak. Instant cast, recharge 10 sec.
If your foe is using a skill, damage, stun for 1 seconds, and apply 10 stacks of bleeding for 2 seconds on him and his allies.
Damage : 600 (x1.8) (roughly twice as mantra of pain)
Number of targets : 5
Radius : 240

Potentially broken, since a mesmer could stun + shatter, killing pretty much every glass cannon with ease, with AoE effect, which means not useless in teamfight… but i still want it. Obviously, it also works very well with condition builds (krait runes ftw). And it does nothing if the timing is wrong

Ranger.
Edge of Extinction.
Spirit. Summon a spirit that deals damage to every creature in range everytime a creature dies or goes into downed state. Doesn’t affect creatures with more than 90% of their health.
Damage : 1000.
Duration : 30 sec.
Radius : 1000.
→ Active : Extinction.
Downed creatures in range die instantly. The spirit of extinction dies.
Range 600.
Number of targets : 5

How to turn a zerg vs zerg in wvw into a giant graveyard. The radius is still pretty small, though, and the spirit can die easily, but use it at the right moment, and it becomes a nuclear weapon.

Schizophrenic Break- Clone Elite (Cooldown reduced by Illusion minor traits) – All Mesmer Clones and Phantasms Merge into a single phantasm with increased damage.

3 phantasms merging will do much more damage than 3 clones merging. 3 clones merged would just make a single new super clone that AAs with the same damage as the mesmer

If you blended 2 Izerkers with an I-duelist, you could get a phantasm that whirls and shoots projectiles along the whirl

blend 2 duelists with a mage, and you get an Iduelist with 50% chance for the bullets to ricochet to another target

and so on.

I am only going to suggest ones for Guardian as I have never liked the books.

Holy Ground – for 7 seconds the area is cleaned of all ill effects. The area is basically purged of all AOE effects for 7 sec and AOE effects can not be cast on the spot. 120 sec CD.

Permeating Chill – For the next 10 seconds all symbols cast by the Guardian will Chill their targets for 8 sec. 120 sec CD.

Holy Revenge – for the next 10 sec any time the Guardian is hit he converts one boon on the attacker into a condition. 120 sec CD.

We don’t need to make mandatory gear treadmills, we make all of it optional

Mesmer[won’t happen, but for fun]:

-Warp: This skill creates something akin to a portal entrance and exit, with a different animation/skin where maybe it shoots lightning/light from the ground so it can be seen above. This would essentially force the opponent to teleport when they pass through, being put on a 4 second debuff timer that stops them from moving back through until it wears off.

The next 3 incoming attacks do no damage to you, and instead damage the attacker.
Goal: Provide mesmers a powerful defensive tool against their kryptonite without being too strong in other matchups. This skill would have to be balanced for PvE like bosses.

Engineer: a kit with long CD on the 5 skills (no AA), but can be switched like every other kits. Someone suggested machine gun, I’d like that !

Mesmer: Master of puppets. Every foe within 600 range is interrupted and /dance for 2(3?) seconds. 90s CD. Considered a stun.

Mesmer: Master of puppets. The mesmer is rooted, but for 3s the player controls one foe (meaning, he can see like he’s in observatory mode, but actually can move/use skills!). 120s CD at least.
