1.Ranger-Cause pets are pretty bad.
2.Necromancer-No point in pve/ping ponged to death if flesh wurm is on CD in pvp.
3.Ele-really just needs some number crunching.

These are my three that i would love to play but with all the issues they are having ruins my fun. I know that there’s more that’s needed to be said but i think a lot of people have said enough for you to understand whats killing off these professions.

I didn’t choose based on which classes are the most ‘messed up’ or which ones I play, my choice is such because these are the classes which (from the players perspective) the developers seem to have the least handle on how they want to design them so player consider them fun to build with, play as, and play against. Fourth would undoubtedly be the thief, or I would even put it at a tie for third with the mesmer were that allowed.

1) Ranger – Needed a couple of buffs so all skill levels can play them and both bows need a slight fix to fit their ranged role and simplify the micro management of pets. Pet AI needs to be marjorly fixed as well as an option to not use the pet at all with a sort of stat buff mechanic or something to compensate the lack of pet as many have suggested.
2)Elementalist – Overnerfed in alot of aspects, need a slight buff in survivability, more roleability for parties besides glass cannon MS/Thor smacker.
3)Necro – Traits need a better fix, minions need to have alittle more survivability to give us a reason to use them, more damage liable rather than reliant on conditions, DS needs some tweaks.

Rangers either need better pet AI or to ditch pets as an option, like in GW1. Some pets have potential to really help, especially in pvp, but I can’t plan a fear while my pet runs back from god knows where and then takes 3 seconds to cast it. Or if it dies in a pve mosh pit.
Eles either need more durability, more damage, or both. They have a ton of potential, but they’re incredibly weak in pvp.

Ranger’s need significant love to pet AI and the general Pet class feature. Improved AI for pets including a better natural handling of enemy groups (in close cases like stacking or closed environments) would do wonders to see the Ranger’s reliance upon their companion mean more than simply having to micro-manage a pet to simply keep it alive. For instance, you must continuously recall a pet (F3) to prevent it from launching right back into attacking the same target you just called it back from. This is a real problem for many fights in the game and is counter-intuitive. Perhaps increasing or adding a timer to resetting that portion of their behavior would help with the command. Bonus points: Customizable pet skins (gem store?) or persistent names for pets would do so much to make pets less of a disposable minion on an HP cooldown and more of a true “partner” to the player. There are too many “Juvenile’s” out there!
I think it’s fair to say that Ranger is on almost 3/4 of this list within spots 1 and 2, but I’d like to make a specific call-to-arms for the Necromancer as well.
Necromancers need a natural or cheap (traits) cleave to simply be competitive in many PvE and enclosed spaces. WvW and PvP have strong skills within groups and solo that allow for the focus native to the class, but they are considerably less competitive outside of that environment and an entire tree (blood magic) is almost entirely unrecommended by builders due to the limited melee and close-quarters options as well as abysmal healing power scaling. This could really use a second look, in my opinion!

1) Elementalist – High risk low reward, horrible elites.
2) Ranger – Everything about this class is passive. Spirits, traps, signets, pets, short bow, sword, etc. This needs to change.
3) Engineer – Pigeonholed into conditions, buggy, too many utilities are too situational such as gadgets, too many passive traits, extremely lackluster elites.
