Weekend is over and i can say im proud of my fellow Gunners for brilliant resistance in face of overwhelming odds. We proven ourselves that we can hold our own under constant pressure and with outmanned buff on all 4 maps at some points. Thanks to both enemy servers it was one of best wvw weekends for me.

Weekdays will bring significantly lower Gunnar’s presence (even more) and coverage during the morning and day, making it harder for us to fight back, i hope we can have some foothold on any map by the evenings so we don’t have negative morale impact on most of our forces, we need numbers to show good resistance when we get in game in evenings.

And to Piken: focus more on RS during the week u still have a chance to win

Dusted off the old commander badge for an hour or so this morning and tried to put a halt to Piken’s rampage over our borderland. Not really gone to plan though :p

Yeah it’s crazy how many WAR guilds I’ve seen in GW2 and especially Piken. VII, HoB, CIR, RG etc…
I played alongside CIR and was in VoP myself.

That’s really poor behaviour in my opinion. I mean if a straggler gets hit by a zerg it’s only going to end one way; to gloat over that like it’s some kind of achievement? No, that’s just juvenile.

I don’t even gloat over 1v1 kills, disrespecting your enemy lessens your own achievement in defeating them.

I wanted to see all our fights there as i was commanding the first time yesterday and i hoped be able to evaluate my movement but it seems like half of our fights were cut out…

Btw i have great fun this week. Others can tell whatever they want but imo this is million times better then playing in tier 7

Gunnars I am disappointed that I have such a busy week this week.

I have seen a great mindset on our server over the short periods I’ve been online this weekend. Where (to be honest) I expected a lot of people complaining about this new matchup, instead most of us are doing all they can to protect whatever we can.

I think this week will not break us up, I think it will make our regulars even stronger. Like Jonni Bravoo said in a post up there, we are doing great for the numbers we have.

If only pushing one button was a viable playstyle in WAR for engies… Well in all fairness there were no viable playstyles for engies in WAR

Last night was jump puzzle night to help our guildie get his monthly so of course we had to go into wvw-me with my current lowbie warrior, BF with his lowbie mesmer and guildie with his 80 necro. Flipped some camps in both PS and RS borderlands, got stomped on several times, stomped several people, have never laughed so hard or had so much fun in wvw since I started it 2 weeks ago.

I would like to apologize for my smack talking to the PS peeps who assaulted us at Redvale-I kind of got into the heat of the moment. With that said, that PS necro from FG-you WILL be mine.

Necrosis are coming back to business after our usual weekend slack.
Summer time is not our best time but we will run around with about 15.

Anyway we already had some casual participation. Mostly we were 4-5 ppl and once even up to 12 maybe for an hour or so.

From that short experience I can already say I like this matcup a lot.

First of all, its not the same matcup that we have had in meaningfull history(last months). That is a HUGE improvement.
Second we are facing GH who can really give enjoyable fights and are very very powerfull in small groups. I actually learned a couple of things already. Thank you guys.
Third RS are also good to fight against. For me they are like a puzzle you have to crack open. It may be tough or even annoying but I like the challenge. Not sure that I would like it more than a week but that has to be seen.

Just wanted to thanks Riverside for not giving up and letting me getting free kills. First 1 guy came..then 2..then 3..then 4 together..After a while even more came against a camp defended by single warrior..Ty guys, thats was fun and i enjoyed my drops now i knows why u guys putting ac even in openfield against smaller groups.

SS under to show many ppl was needed for me..heheh. Again, thanks for 37 kills for my archievement, keep doing good job, im looking forward for more

Still looking for some small scale arranged duels. We have them a lot with Dz and they are heaps of fun, 1v1, 2v2, 5v5. Would be awesome if we could sort out an evening and have some fun Also, we’re available for 10v10, 15v15 with a few days notice for anyone who wants to mess around with some smaller GvG’s.

I for one am enjoying this match. It has been more a lesson of tactics, fight styles and ways to run away, than any time I have played before:). Whatever the result, I will have learnt to be a better WvW player. Hats off to you guys who are giving us respect on Gunnars; we will give you a fight to talk about for a long time.

So RS (and AM) only camps in Towers, even when they have 5 times more Players, run from every 1vs1, and last but not least always build a ton of ACs.

PS only plays Warrior/Guardian.

Really fun night in GHBL. It was interesting to see the different fighting styles of the various Piken guilds, i picked up a few things tonight and I’m sure we’ll improve a lot by fighting you guys this week.

Still having good fights but not as many as the Piken zergs are much stronger and as they have become very dominant we see much more of them than RS.

Riverside talking about respect? ^^ This coming from a server who’s tactic’s involve turtling up in any tower/keep/camp then building as many arrow carts as they can possibly fit in that space even when they outnumber the enemy 3 to 1. Not too mention running from anything resembling a fair fight. I hope at reset we get another server that’s willing to actually fight and give a more fun matchup.

Props out to the Gunnars though, have met some good players, had some good duels and you guys have the right spirit, it’s just a shame that you’ve been put in the same match up as RS.

I honestly think Riverside have some kind of boot camp, where you teach players to first run, then build as many arrowcarts as they can lol Please tell me there is at least one guild on your server that can actually PvP? Not seen one yet.

Same here … just opposite side … i try each day for about an hour to find some nice 1vs1s.
Never had the same problem with other servers. Without their 20 guardians around them … the common Piken is running faster then the roadrunner ^^
On the other hand … had a couple of nice fights with some Gunnis <3

Thanks to DW for the gvg, i was very impressed how you adapted after the break! You showed some great ingenuity and we weren’t sure how to handle you in the last few rounds.

But please don’t say RS has no good guilds or good players because thats not true. There are many Guilds who can play. TIA, DTK, VM, dw, VU. All guilds with very good players. And a Player, which got attacked by 8 Players, not run is silly. If you loose a battle why fight to the end when it’s a 1vs3 or 1vs4? Doesn’t make sense.

there`s this fairy tail going on rs would just camp in there bases behind ac`s.. my guild held hills on rs from reset untill yesterday. we were mostly 4 to 6 people in there. yesterday afternoon we decided to take your offer having some nice duels on the westside of gh garrison. ps – by no way – wouldn`t be in there, if we had not decided that.
for the duels: it was a bit complicated since there was one group after another disturbing the duels we had. even gh zerg couldn`t respekt 6 ppl standing on a duel spot east of middlekeep.
biggest respect to the necro guild for wiping us countless times. we have a lot players not used to grp vs grp or pvp but they`ll learn and thanks to guys like you we`ve improved.
we tried to be respectfull to the outmanned gunnars on gh bl, sometimes we ran beside one. see, rs was and still is on a good way to get more openfield guilds.
during the last changes wvw community and our commanders on rs have to suffer countless pve`lers doing there monthly. farm the hell out of them. you just earn warm hugs from most wvw Players on rs.

for the rest of the week.. get your lootbacks to the middlekeep on rs, our guild – still 4-6 ppl – awaits you there. and no hard feelings after pls. kudos to the gh grps doing fine in front of our gates in the bloody rain of ac`s.
