I don't think we were given a Wyld Hunt
S-Sort of… Your character mentions in the vocal dialogue just after the fight that they felt “called to defeat it,” which is what a Wyld Hunt is – a calling.
What I believe – and I have no evidence to support this – is that the Dream of Dreams placed that giant plant-based-dragon-thing in there for the Player-Character to fight, but the Nightmare got a hold of it before you arrived. Either way, you had to defeat it.
The Wyld Hunt was to defeat Zhaitain/the Dragons – which was signalled by us seeing Zhaitain in the opening cinematic, not by that plant dragon in the tutorial.
i believe the PC’s wyld hunt is to murder dragons though they kinda stop mentioning that one after a while…
I think your Wyld hunt was to cure the dream. You did that when you first created your character. So I think you complete it then, too. Level 2 and you have no purpose! Mwahahahahahaah!

I’ve said this before but I don’t think your wyld hunt was to defeat Zhaitan. I mean the dragon we see is obviously a nature themed dragon. You see clear visions of asura, golems, and skritt in the dream all looking normal; why would that one thing appear differently but symbolize Zhaitan?
Really we don’t know enough about the sylvari tutorial. The pale tree never mentions this, Caithe doesn’t mention this encounter to my knowledge. You’d think it’d be a big thing if the nightmare court was ever successful and did make the dream into nightmare, but no one ever mentions this.
Maybe the dragon wasn’t the only vision of the future you had, maybe the entire thing was the vision. You saw the fall of the pale tree, the dream turning into nightmare, and eventually you’ll kill a dragon. Dragons arn’t always Elder Dragons, this dragon could just be a champion. The dragon might not even be the wyld hunt, the dragon might just be a byproduct of the vision of the nightmare and your true wyld hunt is to save the pale tree from nightmare.
Those with a Wyld Hunt are called Valiants. You’re continously referred to as Valiant during your personal story. Thus, you do indeed have a Wyld Hunt. Congratulations.

What I’m saying is, we fought a dragon that was put there by the Nightmare Court. The Mender “probably” didn’t know what was really going on in the dream. All he knows is we fought a dragon(Nightmare Court corruption, placed there by the Nightmare court). So he calls us Valiant. This is within 10 seconds of leaving the dream so we do not know better than to question him. Correct me if I’m wrong but if we had a Wyld Hunt from the start it would have been somthing put there by the dream itself of the Tree. We didnt fight anything naturally from the dream.
Correct me if i’m wrong but our charators never directly mention feeling called to slay dragons, or anything. We just kinda do it.
Except that line
“I saw a giant dragon and felt the dream call on me to defeat it.” Though like I said the dragon doesn’t necessarily represent a dragon.

Murder implies a crime. Self-defense in the name of pretty much the entire world of Tyria isn’t murder. If we don’t stop the dragons, they’ll kill all of us.
Murder is also known as homicide, the act of killing a human deliberately. Feel free to knock down a few asura, it’s not murder by the book!

But he’s got the right idea. I say we line up asura and give them bowls of tasty seasonings so they can follow in the footsteps of the greatest mind in the recent generations, Snaff, and help us defeat the dragons.
