I am 100% sure I would have fun in Wildstar. However, I have no real interest in it. Before GW2 I didn’t really play any video games seriously from 2008 – 2012. I played Gw1 casually during that time, and hardcore before that from like 2005-2008. I have plenty of other hobbies and interests. If I stopped playing GW2 it wouldn’t be because I moved onto other/better video games, it would be because I stopped gaming entirely to do other stuff.

It’s a dressed up gear grinder. No, really, that’s all you can do – grind gear. It’s like Diablo, only more action paced, more involved.

It’s kind of that. You have a good amount of gametypes to choose from and just play, it’s fun though and you have a ton of weapons/warframes to pick. Still has some good content, for example they added an raid not too long ago which supports 8 players (usually you can go in groups of four) and is quite a bit more difficult/requires more coordination than normal content – on top of that, said raid also has a nightmare variant, which makes the whole raid even more punishing.

Tl;Dr: If you enjoy FPS and don’t mind some grind, it’s a pretty good game, especially considering it’s free. Also has content that requires coordination and whatnot.

I must say I’m loving to see that Lordkrall crying on reddit. And seeing spoj and Krall, Lord Commander of the WhiteKnightWatch argue on reddit is also funny

Hard to rationalize with so much missing information about what we’re getting. But, if you consider that the time you’ll spend (if you continue to play) within GW2 will far exceed the time you’d play any single player game, or potentially even another MMO, well, it’s easily “worth the money.” and as I said the other night, to me, $50 is a night at a bar, so, easily more entertainment time than that (buys me ~10 beers or 5-10 pitchers depending on the night)

Funny thing is, they did literally nothing but help make it easier to leap over the wall because putting that barrier makes sure you won’t accidentally aggro one of the two elite mobs.

Bury the body outside, bury your cat on top of it by 0.5m. Nobody will notice, unless you put your cat 0.5m above the ground, in which case you suck at digging holes.

Ascended Gear will be staying 5% better than Exotic Gear. Gear beyond the tiers we already have are not going to be added and our existing tiers won’t change, they won’t be our main end-game form of progression for your characters/account for all the reasons we’ve covered before – it isn’t what we think Gw2 is about.

Masteries is being added to PvE to help provide this system as our form of progression for PvE moving forward, and the WvW ability system exists for WvW and will be what we use to expand WvW in the future.

To more directly answer some of your point….We are adding a system that lets you change the stats for your ascended gear next Tuesday – which will cost a combination of 10 spirit shards, piece you don’t want anymore, 5 ectos, and an exotic insignia of the stats you want to convert to. Legendary Gear will remain the gear that can freely change stats any time.

lol, . I had a tone of useless ascended armor pieces from wvw and fractals. Time to re-roll me some zerker pieces.

I got it, I buried the corpse! Couldn’t catch the cat, though. Tripped on my own feet and he escaped on his motorcycle.
I think I managed to calculate the depth of the hole, but not sure. I think an arm is still sticking out…?

I have like… 4? or more boxes of defenders, plus at least 8 pieces of cele and knight scattered across my guard and ele. Does this mean… I get to convert them all to free zerk? Does it?

I was turning all my useless boxes into light armor, for the unlocks. because I was to cheap to craft ascended light right now. I say this with 3 sets of heavy ascended and 1 set of medium

Guess my ele is about to be come very happy.

Yeah, my mes is missing 3 pieces and I wanted to prepare something for the rev, gonna be pretty cool. IF I can afford the xpac :/ if not, warrior is next.
What bothers me is that my 4 chests are 2 shoulders and 2 boots <.< I keep dropping shoulders and never helmets, kitten.

Anyway, this is pretty a kitten good change. Nice one. Finally, I guess <.<

Has anyone noticed how, patch after patch, update after update – anet worked on smoothing the exo→ascended transition and the complaints attached to it? I wonder if it means they got a good scare out of the ascended uproar, 2 years ago…

Guild Challenges and Guild Puzzles will get backed up in a big way. To avoid that, those mission types will be moving into their own instances. You’ll access them from the same places in the world, but they’ll otherwise function a bit like a dungeon.

Yeah, but most of those bugs were hilarious!
