General Dungeon Discussion Thread - Part 2
Also PSA: versatile power on warrior had an ICD placed on it stealthily, no more bundle spam.
Saw this in patch notes actually, this wasn’t a stealth fix.
That is some cringe worthy activity there. I have heard people talk about the EU Gulds before but kinda always chalked it up as people being people. Can’t say I have ever noticed any guilds or players doing that on NA, Dungeon guilds or otherwise.
Regardless of what region ya play in there are good players and bad players in both, and the LFG is for the most part awful in both :P
I am sure there are. In my own experience I have never seen any one doing the stuff that was described. My lfgs have mostly been tolerable. Then again, I run with two friends with the same guild tag 99% of the time. I would guess this helps keep the kittens in line since they know we can kick them if they act up to much.
Ugh, those tryhard guilds are the worst.
A friend of mines was in a guild for a long time, then overnight they decided they were going to be a dungeon speedrun guild, and started making it mandatory for people to run certain classes in the runs, or they’d be kicked from the guild. In the end my friends little sister – who’s 16 – was all but kicked out by a bunch of grown adults for maining a necro in what was always a casual guild. Bunch of kittens.
Anyway, i’d played with them before, and they were kinda bad, so i asked to go on runs with them to see for myself if they were suddenly elite speedrunners. They were not. They kept insisting on the perfect food, not starting without checking my traits and gear, explaining everything to me beforehand like i’d never run CoE before, harpy feather nonsense…etc. At the start they went for the big pull of all the ele’s/wolves, and failed miserably three times before deciding to just do it the safe way. Alpha was amazing too, with me always being the only one who could count to two before dodging his AoE’s.
We did a Lv9 fractal afterwards too (I said we should at least go for 10, but apparently harpy knockbacks weren’t worth it xD), and they were hilariously bad. Me and my friend basically duo’d it since they were on their kitten the entire time.
Terrible players, terrible people.
Only clowns use Harpy Feathers in 3+ man runs, even if there are no classes to stealth you

Wow that’s just sad.
Makes it kinda obvious why some people hate on “us”, if there are such morons out there.

What if you want to roleplay as colesy?
I must be the god of clowns, I use feathers in ALL my runs.

I think you and Lang trained my reflex hard with that “Save Yourself!” skipping style.

I will say I feel I do the same thing at this point or at least far more often, too often I used to assume things, and then get frustrated. Lang taught me to be better than that
In my free time I’ve been going through and getting feathers with all my alts, just got 2 stacks on my mesmer and I’m already out 20 in like 3 days just running Arah, it’s a pain swapping gear if I can make it with the help of a feather.
Someone had a super adventure box of fun in Rata sum… is it bad that I almost teared up? I’m so nostalgic I feel sick… christ.
I did a coe pug with frifox once and the pugs blindly followed him and me after spire’s laser thing lol. Too bad they had no feathers or kits = woooooo abom funtimes.

Found this gem in general discussion:
clearly its a question as i want to see what other players think just coz i have my own opinion dosent change the fact that a question was asked or mebey you missed the question mark coz you don’t understand gramer.

Miku, that’s the most beautifully ignorant thing I’ve ever seen. Thank you.
Holy moly that gem…
Question: how much AR do you need for fractals past 40?
Came back since quitting around January 2013. Before I quit no one gave a kitten about how much AR you had at high level fractals since the max was 25 (30 if you had an infused back piece which very few people had) and would get nearly one-shot regardless of AR.

40 to 49: 55 AR
50: 70 AR

55 on a 40 for 1% ticks, 70 on a 50
You can probably get away with 5 less if you are only in combat for short periods of time, I accidentally did a trio of a boss with 65, on a 50, and I was alive the whole time missing just a 5% multiplier(barely noticed it on condi).

To be fair, he was arguing with Yargesh.
His brain had probably melted.

I started to read a bit of it, got down about three or four comments and decided I was better off not reading it.
What are you doing with +1 agony infusions?
Sad thing about that Druid thread is that by the end, there is actually some good discussion and the OP is providing some very good (albeit a tad snarky) feedback…
…and they locked it.
Beautifully done, though.

Stockpiling them in my bank right now. Since the Fractals change was announced, before that I had been selling them to feed my addictions.
yeah I am doing that too. The thing is I doubt thy will ask for like 145 ar (new masteries requirements seems more likely), they want to increase fractal player population (so.more infusions on the tp)… Time to sell?

Don’t need feathers to die to Alphard

Tell me about it.
Once I answered a guy that asked, quoting: “Do we know if HoT will bring any new pets to the ranger class?” My answer was: “Nope”.
This guy quoted me and was like “you got a source? because else it’s not true an u talking out your kitten ”. I desperately fought back my instinct to give a snarky response and a guy kindly replied for me, making him notice I just answered – do we know? no, we don’t.
Like, just checking Talyn’s post about qol changes to the fl? makes me want to punch a wall. People don’t kittening bother to read a 20 sentence OP. Who would bother to read my snarky wall of texts?
kitten them.
WTB a static group for daily 50s.
kittening LFG and braindead illiterate pugs are slowly sucking the life out of me.
Logged in to play around for the first time in like a year, it’s nice to see pugs are still the same; however, I guess now I’ve forgotten enough about the game to be as kittenome of them.
I’d offer myself up immediately, but I don’t think you’d want to play with me in fracs. I’m average at the very best, and the few friends of mine that still play are kinda troll-ish and utterly burnt out – so most of our runs end up with lots of screwing around, joking and not so much speed. Also, neo plays on a potato.

I can totally see him learning how to drive, type and play in my stead.
…actually, I should teach him. He’s way smarter than my ranger’s cat <-<
Taku, we are 4 and we tend to sell the last spot, but I glady run with you.
By the way, I am getting tired of my ele and his icebow
No kitten
Always a kitten.
No kitten
Always a kitten.
Awwww

I usually come on around 1700-1800 (UTC+3) and try to do it as soon as possible so if you have a spot feel free to whisper me. Do be warned though, I generally hate playing any of the “meta” classes and would probably just use my ranger as it’s pretty much the only enjoyable class to play atm.
Does anyone know if monsters’ condition damage follows the general condition damage formula? Also does condition damage round up or down?
(edited by Wethospu.6437)
Reading the rant threads about this new “event”. Laughing.
My solution is just to not play it, at all.
Luckily Spider Queen and her attacks is a subject that never gets old.
Bite is a single target melee cleave. But her spray and webs are cleaves too.
What made you think I was talking about something else?
The spider has a bite attack, a web spray, a poison spray and poison aoes.
I did AC yesterday to be sure I was right. And I was. It still has the same abilities, and they still work as I described. Initial spider summons, poison fields, web cleave, poison cleave.
So many mechanics.

Single target cleaves…SQ poison spray…
That’s something special right there.

I would assume that it follows the general formula, you’d have to see if frifox is able to pull the condi dmg stat off an enemy to check.

Are there any enemies who apply conditions that also give themselves Might stacks? Seeing how their ticks scale as they gain/lose Might would let you back into the formula.

Aetherblade fractal end boss golems apply 5 stacks of confusion with the projectile attack and gain might from the laser wall.
Alpha after husk applies very predictable burns and you can give him might with the guns you use at husk. And nope, reading stats off an enemy returns all 0’s
