If you were a bearbow...
I don’t know, but when I was leveling up ranger who knows how many years ago, I thought the beastmastery line looked great because of the shear stat gain for pet. Too bad all the traits suck.
So much lack of love for the poor bearbow.
Mesmer boonshare?
Support, range, CC (thus support).

I get it that you want be funny, get some attention and don’t like non-perfect players, but don’t try to insult new or less experienced .
Don’t “wonder” when you know the answer already. Some players follow their archetypes for professions and you won’t change it no matter how hard you rant and try to push them into meta builds.
If they’re having fun with their builds, even if they’re sub-optimal, that’s cool. If you don’t that’s cool too but do not come to the forums and say how bad they are in your opinion. Get on with it, man.

I am a bearbearbearbearbow. No idea what bearbows think, such casuals.
Game over, yo.
bearbow is last of my concerns actually. i happened to have almost 10k achi mesmer with…scepter/torch and staff join my ‘be exp please’ party for frac 20…there are also staff guardians and dual pistol thieves. staff necros. axe rangers (trust me, youd prefer bearbow over that) or pistol-only engis.
worst things are ppl defending those build and trying to tell others they are actually ‘good’, that they ‘support’ or ‘fun to play (its fun beeing useless garbage for my group, yes!)’
and that they mostly dont read descriptions and join these craps to ‘rush/speed/zerker only’ groups and cause them problems
Tbh I really like shoutheal + empower allies + banner of discipline + banner of strength + for great justice warriors in my party. Also shoutheal works nice if there are 2 warriors and each one takes one banner and shouts.
I also like Spotter + frost spirit rangers, well necros, guardians with Battle Presence and Strength in Numbers, elementalists that keep Soothing Mist active. The game becomes so faceroll, that doing lvl 50 fractal for example doesn’t make me tired.
I am a proud bearbow,
I run 4/5/1/4/0
My suspiscioun is that Bearbows run the 4/4/0/0/6 before they can tag the Arah Gatekeeper and get Read the Wind, in which case I’d suspect they split between those that go 6/4/1/0/3 and those that wants to keep their Ubertanky pet with 6/2/0/0/6. If they’re running the New Invigorating Bond, they’re prolly running Sylvanhound besides the Brown Bear cause ZOMG Heal Pet!
But that might be a bit too clever for the regular Ranger Bearbow.

I always thought greatsword was the melee weapon of choice for bearbows?
Edit: Don’t bother trying to explain the advantages of horn+sword to me please. I usually run sword+horn and sword+axe/torch/dagger on my ranger in pve.
you may keep them to rear new and interesting variants in your basement.
Don’t they use LB/SB? i’ve been lyed to.

No kitten, thanks for that Dr. King.
I want an idea of what the average player would run so I can figure out how much DPS they’re outputting, and whether any given “give up some personal DPS to boost the party” build is worth it in a pug.
Bearbows run 6/6 and then stick the remaining point wherever floats their boat. Possibly 10 in NM for a personal FS at 2100 range. I know this because my main is a ranger and someone posts that build in the ranger forum on a weekly basis.
Steady Focus, Eagle Eye and Piercing Arrows. Quick Draw is pretty much the only relevant trait in skrimishing. QZ is the only relevant utility unless they have a personal FS. RaO elite.
How I usually imagine them:
Nerf plz.
And since you brought up guardians too:

I sacrificed survivability for some extra deeps with Magi and Apothecary. Hopefully I’ll be able to find the dodge button before I die but I think my retaliation should kill them first. Even if I do down, I have that downed trait to help me out so my allies can res me.
You may think it’s a joke and nobody has ever run these but reality is cruel. In all seriousness, Bearbows seem to have an obsession with piercing arrows (because tag) and more quick draw so they can annoy you with PBS even more. One constant is that they avoid anything that may help other people like the plague because they are “supporting” from afar. Despite my attempts to convince them that spotter is a good trait, they just tell me crit chance sucks and I am a nub since “it may not crit”. In fact you should probably give the ones that found the trait screen a cookie.
for there you have been and there you will long to return.

Yeah, I think 6/6/0/0/2 is probably most likely for a bearbow.
I don’t think a guardian would run 0/2/6/6/0 just because they want the last 2 points in Virtues for the F1 heal.
I feel like a mesmer would want to run with clone generation on roll and greatsword CDs. For some reason bads don’t seem to like Illusionist’s Celerity so 4/4/0/6/0 seems most likely, for the shatter/mantra heal.
“Zerker” warrior is probably 0/4/4/6/0 with healshouts and Forceful Greatsword so they can HB more.
I can probably just take Phineas’s FT/EG build for engineers, I see a lot of those. Some use rifle or pistol but I figure the DPS is close enough to 0 in all cases that it won’t significantly affect numbers.
Thieves, eles, and necromancers I don’t as much about outside of the meta builds. Could still use some input on those but in the meantime I’ll start running some numbers on the other classes.
Pick a nemesis or deathshroud build for necromancers. It’s was always either that or condition damage.
Thieves -do- have their Venomshare builds though! Do not underestimate the Venomsharing! Cause Sharing… is Caring (But not for smooth runs).
(I threw in a Dual Pistol Spec just for good measure)

6/6/6/6/6 do everything build
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
6/6/6/6/6 do everything build
What’s really hysterical is that would literally not make the bearbow a better party choice than a meta ranger.
Don’t forget about the equipment.
- No back piece, because it’s too expensive and resource-consuming to get.
- Blue and green trinkets with random stats, from 50-79 level range, except for a single Rabid ascended accessory (guild missions drop)
- The armor is half karma PVT exotics, half blue/green random stat pieces from 50-79 level range. No superior runes, perhaps one or two random minor or major runes.
- Now the longbow – http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Arc bought from the TP because of cool looks. Stays with Sentinel stats and Sigil of Nullification, because why bother changing? A rare random shortbow on swap.
- No consumables because it’s too elitist.
- And, of course, DOUBLE BEAR.
