They’re not from Heart of Thorns story mode. A hint would be greatly appreciated!

This is a really great idea, I love it.
Now we just need an invisible chest piece. It would be amazing for norn charr and sylvari !

Maybe a “joke recipe” for tailor? Like the story of the king’s garments?

With nothing else to go on, I think I’m just going to hope someone else stumbles across them. I have no idea where to go now. I just hope they’re not locked behind something crazy, like the raid or some such. ;_;

While playing through the new content I’ve taken breaks to try and search for these and have had no luck. I haven’t heard of anyone else having any luck either.

Can we get a hint on these, please? Is it Halloween related? Adventure related? Available in the core game? Heart of Thorns related? Mystic forge related? Hidden achievement related? Collection related? Sold by a vendor somewhere?

There are so many ways that I can think to go about getting these; can we get a nudge in the right direction please?

I just wanted to make a new thread to see if we could get a hint response. The other thread is bogged down with a lot of nobody knows and is already painted red (has a developer response).

Ok then. I guess we’re allowed to have 5-6 threads on the first couple of pages about the Nightfury shoulder armor floating around, but a thread about the introduction of these new armors and a thread asking for a hint on how to obtain them are not allowed.

The double standards are real. Good luck finding these, I’m done searching/trying.

Someone in my guildchat linked something called Gyve of Madness which was a Heavy Foot Armor with no model and showed my character barefoot in the viewer. It could be an unfinished item but the icon for it was strange indeed. didnt look like a shoe at all?

Did it have an icon? These things are in the wardrobe already, just search “Invis” to find them. The icon is a pink square, as in a filled in pink square. Your GL could have been linking from wardrobe.

Wait … you say it was the Gyve? That one has a shoulder icon but shouldn’t affect your feet.

That looks like the cultural medium armor pants to me, dyed to match the ’vari’s skin tone. I’m not sure which tier, I don’t have a medium armor ‘vari so I’ve not looked at those armors as much. Might be T3?

Im pretty sure to get Nightfury, you need to have Dragonhunter specialisation and train every elder dragon as your pet.

I am pretty sure, you have to purchase an guild armorer upgrade in the guild hall and once the upgrade is completed, you can buy it from him with guild commendations.

But since guilds didnt produce enough aetherium yet in order t ounlock this upgrade, the npc isnt in game yet.

Honestly, everyone wearing the Invisible Shoes and other gear in the future that is invisible MUST use ‘The Emperor’ as their title.

Ah, I just hope the invisible shoes aren’t only for Halloween. What a sad time it is to be in the unknown. I really do hope we’re given even a tiny clue on whats going on.

We have 2 or 3 weeks to figure if it’s tied to an halloween recipe.

But.. how are these related to the Invisible Slippers?
Gyve of Madness is a seperate item that just has no model, no? Where the Invisible series have their own item name and wardrobe slot. Invisible Slippers, Invisible Stompers, etc.

The items. Doesn’t an item have an ID number that indicates if it’s from a recipe or just ordinary loot? Or maybe I’m thinking of their ID’s in the raw data file.

Invisible Stompers, Invisible Slippers, and Invisible Boots now have the correct icon.

That’s nice. These are taking longer to find than Nightfury, though. Can we get a hint on these?

Considering they are invisible shoes, and the treasure mushroom’s only redeeming qualities are that it can run very fast and is invisible, that sounds like a decent place to start…

However, surely it would have been found by now even if it was a rare drop from those.

Does anyone know what the name of the new invisible bag is?

I would also need an api I can use to see item details. I cant find the invisible shoes on the wiki or dulfy.

I’m not great at this stuff, so I’m probably wrong. I don’t like crafting or forging, but I had some thoughts on something to consider/try.

1) I think there may be soulbound/account bound items required to craft these. I unchecked “Show only available” in the trading post to see if there are even slots for these shoes on the trading post, and there are none. So I’m guessing the shoes themselves or some of the components to create them are bound. (If they are even crafted or forged in the first place).

2) Maybe try something involving Crystalline Dust and/or Vial of Linseed Oil with (for Medium armor) Hardened Boot Sole and Hardened Boot Upper. Possibly also try the Damask versions, but that is expensive…

I really wish we knew a general direction to go for these. Even with Nightfury it was a given that the tattered wings would be involved somehow. For all we know, crafting/forging could be the entirely wrong direction.

Yeah but I’d really like to know the name and the way to obtain this new “Invisible bag” everyone keeps mentioning, but no-one has tried it in the mystic forge. I cant even find it on the wiki either.

Show some sense please people. Invisible shoes are a good addition, but be realistic about invisible chest and leg armours. This would mean too large a portion of the community would go around with all invisible armour and look like they are wearing just underwear.

Half the armor for women is trashy underwear anyway. What difference does it make if you give them “invisible” armor at this point?

The fact that they went through the trouble of even plopping “invisible shoes” some place instead of making it an equipment menu toggle is both mind boggling and foreboding.

Like… I’m glad I didn’t jump into getting the expansion foreboding if these are the asinine decisions we can expect in the future. Sorry, I have standards – invisible shoes when there is clearly a “hide/show” system in place. Sure, maybe if transmutation stones are only 5 gems a pop.

The problem is that I really want to figure out how to get them so I can see the gold gating behind an invisible skin. I am expecting them to be a material heavy recipe like nightfury, because why not.

The problem is I haven’t heard of anyone data mining any info on them, we haven’t been given ANY clues onto where to get them. Dulfy’s mystic forge api doesn’t have any info on them either, which leads to them not being a recipe in the mystic forge or not being in the game at all. However the developers have stated that they are in and if we are to believe that, where to begin even then?

Also people have mentioned there being a new inviz bag in HoTs but I’ve never seen it or heard its name so I cant look it up and go get it for mystic forge testing. There’s literally no info at all on it.

It could also be hidden in plainsight. I just unlocked the mastery to see invisible things so I hope that can be used to find the clues I’ve been craving for.

I like treasure hunts, but not giving any clues is a big middle finger.
I think I’d have a better luck learning to datamine and finding it that way.

PS: And yes, not including a toggle is strange but I’ll take this possibility of getting them by finding them. Because now I’m actually really interested what the outcome to get them is, I’m expecting something really dull and obvious that everyone missed or something so mind boggling AVGN could make an video out of it.

I am beginning to suspect a Final Rest situation for this equipment. Either that, or they are just an incredibly rare drop, which doesn’t bode well for.. well.. anyone. I was hoping they’d be a small and fun scavenger hunt, but given their recent design choices, I lean more towards “very rare and very, very, very, very expensive”.
It would not surprise me if they were an account bound recipe drop from the karma merchants, with a crafting requirement of something like a stack of linseseed oil and 100 charged lodestones.

I’ve been through the new maps over and over again, but I can find no merchant nor anything that hints towards these. Unless they’re a crazy rare drop from the invisible mushrooms.. then I dunno. I give up and await someone to datamine where they’re from.
At least the Nightfury threads got a lot of dev attention. ;_;

Also I tried to see if Orichalcum, Oiled Orichalcum or Deldrimor boot crafting items highlighted in the mystic force, none of them did. I am fairly certain we can throw that idea out of the window that they’re combined from the shoe crafting materials.

I also went to Jennah’s palace with the Nuloch invisibility seeing thing and couldnt find anything. I haven’t spotted anything even remotely hinting at them with the truesight it gives. I haven’t even come close to finishing map exploration yet though.

None of the mapwide events even seem to hint at it.

Indeed. To make matters worse, several devs confirmed that Final Rest was in the game and people just hadn’t found it yet! This went on for about.. half a year? A year? I can’t quite recall.
Anyway, the community looked for this staff for an incredibly long time, and Anet kept saying that it was indeed in game. Until the bosses were updated, and suddenly Final Rest dropped like candy.

So yes. These Invisible shoes might not actually be in the game, despite devs confirming that they are. It has happened before.

Alright, that makes sense, then. However what I really need to know is if it’s made in the mystic forge. Which I doubt in all honesty. However it could be the case and be an account bound item as there is no auction house slot for it in the AH.

I am currently trying to find a way to find the item on this api to see what flags it has. Does anyone know how to use this properly?
