Your most-progressed deleted character?
Not much compared to some people: Level 80 sylvari elementalist, story complete right up to Victory or Death, mix of exotic and rare equipment, some traits unlocked.
I made her to play through the story after the September Feature Pack to document the changes made. She was a mule for a while until bank tabs went on sale, then I deleted her to get my spare slot back.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
Guys, you must have time… and no money. Why in hell would you just delete a level 80 to make room for another one instead of just buy a character slot? I never deleted any of my 80ies. I deleted once my norn mesmer for an asura mesmer in the beginning. It was around level 20 or so. Was back in 2012.
I didnt.
On my US account I had my basic 5, bought 6 extra slots, filled them all with level 80s… and then deleted 6. I hate light armour classes and found that my spare ranger, warrior and engineer were being played exactly like the other of each of those classes. So I salvaged what I could and nuked all 6. Thinking of deleting my guardian and thief, too. So now I have 6 empty slots on that account.
My EU account has never had more than 3 on anyway. I would like to transfer them all to my US account… but I know that it will never be possible.
Lvl 64 Asura warrior, I asked myself why do I even have this character… I hate warriors and Asura.
50/50 GWAMM x3
I quit how I want
A lvl 80 character with over 70% map completion..and many other 80s on less map >.>

37 mesmer like a week after I got the game. I made her blonde and after getting to where mesmers finally opened up to be fun, and I couldn’t handle the voiceover trying to mesh it onto my character. I rolled an asura thief and fell in love with them both from there. Remade my mesmer though. Eventually.
I’ve deleted a few 80s. In the early days of the game, I remade my thief like 4 different times. Once I deleted a thief that was lvl 60 (this was back when the leveling was much easier and the NPE didn’t exist, mind you).
Sometimes you’re just not happy with how a character is turning out.
I’ve deleted a few low levels, mostly like 1~35 levels.
Level 80 Elementalist (made day of release). Had all the dye unlocked that I have now (missed out on a big unidentified dye sale). Deleted her because I wanted to go Vigil instead of Whispers on the Ele, made a warrior instead and found out how much harder leveling an Ele is when I went back to remake my ele.
I didn’t have ascended or exotics or anything like that (just greens/blues) because I deleted her about a month after release. I didn’t even know exotics existed since from level 1-80 (was exploring low level zones first to level, didn’t step foot in a dungeon) I had maybe one yellow drop (Seriously, RNG smells like manure in this game, yes yellows don’t drop till around 40 or something but I’d have preferred at least 10 in 40 levels since five levels later they’re mostly trash anyway).
I delete a lot though, none of my characters are two years old yet even though I started at the beginning (sorta wish B-Day was account based, not character based. At least until I heard what 2nd year presents were).
I deleted 2 Asura becuase they were… well… Asura.
Both were lvl 80 both were equipped with exotics, skinned and all, 1 had 3 bag slot expansions 1 had 2 , And I’m glad I did so. I made them, levelled them did the story and noticed I prefer playing the other races, the bigger the better. I really didn’t like to see all shoes ingame. I notice they were made and never played.
1 was mesmer and 1 was engineer (got 2nd yr birthday gift a few days before, date of death 9/dec/2014)
SO goodbye to the little gerbils and:
Welcome 2 Charr, 1 is lvl 80 allready other is as 65 now
Proud owner of 15 characters 14 lvl 80’s, 1 lvl 65.

(edited by PaxTheGreatOne.9472)
I deleted my first ranger. Norn, level 80. Full t3 cultural skins, 100% world completion, all pets unlocked, ascended trinkets (didn’t bother with weapons/armor for her), and all story done on her up until I deleted her. I deleted her because I already had one other fatty norn (my thief), and I made a sylvari ranger whom I liked a lot more than the norn one. Plus, I wanted an extra free slot in case I got bored and wanted to make something new (without having to buy yet another character slot).
Lvl 64 Asura warrior, I asked myself why do I even have this character… I hate warriors and Asura.
Asura Warrior is awesome actually. Best warrior animations in the game.

This.
My cute little min size female Asura warrior is so adorable!
I deleted my first ever character (elementalist). Had about 600 hours on him but that didn’t stop me from deleting I’ve could of saved for a extra character slot but I didn’t have the nerve/time to gather the gold for it back then.
I deleted my level 20 spirit spammer in Guild Wars 1.

…. Adorable isn’t quite the thing I was looking for… what I really like is the acrobatic animations (hence the ninja outfit and katana)
as I said earlier in the thread I used to have a Charr warrior at 65 but had trouble enjoying playing it… making my warrior an Asura instead made all the difference and now I enjoy the class a lot more. Animations help a lot.
Well, that’s kind of what I mean too. When she launches 100B and it looks like she is being thrown about by the sword’s momentum. Jumping with the cartwheeling arms. When you stop suddenly when carrying a heavy weapon and she has to balance on one leg till the momentum stops etc.
I haven’t deleted a character, because they’re more useful to dump bags onto and then use as containers
I have abandoned an Elementalist (I can’t reliably play them), a Thief (can’t get the hang of fighting as one), and a Mesmer (for the third time…) and currently intentionally created an asuran Engineer for no other purpose than holding onto stuff I might be using later.
. . . mostly Bloodstone Dust.
3 Lvl 80s. Warrior, Mesmer and Thief in that order.
I just wanted to make new characters.
Thief – Duelist | Ranger – Strider | Engineer – Technician |
Elementalist – Spellweaver | Necromancer – Warlock | Mesmer – Trickster |
I deleted two fully geared level 80s, Warrior and Elementalist to make room for new characters. They were both about two weeks old (levelled with crafting and tomes) and had less than 15% of the world explored.
Mainly deleted them for cosmetic reasons, and am happy with the decision I made.
I deleted my lvl 80 guard full gear because I got board
I’ve deleted my 80 thief with 400 chef, because I was need free slot and this was my 2nd thief
Seafarer’s Rest (EU): Liicher (Engi), Lii Cher (Warrior), Swf (Elem),
Licharr (Guard), Lich Eir (Ranger), Alt Fh (Thief). Lii Cherr (Mesm), S Wf (Necr)
Lvl 36 asura guard. Every time it jumped i tought it will faceplant into ground of fly away with those hands propelling in the air.
I took an a Necromancer to 80 this summer. It was right after they released the NPE. The character was really only supposed to be a test of the NPE, but after I got into the idea I stayed with the class. I’ve never been a person for Warlocks, Death Knights, Necromancers, or anything else to do with plagues and Damage Over Time. The classes are typically supreme when it comes to ability, but not the most challenging. The GW2 Necromancer was another one of these too-easy classes, but with a twist. Unlike other games where there is variety in encounter, play style, and ability GW 2 was very samey. Every NPC is a very simple AI. There are very few practical skills and too many that are spazzy-flashy-useless. The Necromancer suffered mostly from a lack of skills. There were also a few bugs with particle effects that left me blind whenever I tried some spells in shallow or deep water. I play for efficiency though, so much of my complaints about the class fall back to there being too few abilities.
Lv80 Mesmer,Elementalist,Necromancer in full exotics,because meh.
Elementalist = Asura with T3,I just liked the armor but not the race,so I just created him to use Asura light T3,when I got bored of it I just deleted him. (and of course I salvage the armor etc)
Mesmer = Bought like 2 Hairstyle kits for her,she had TA set (luckly I deleted her after the wardrobe change,so I got a free TA set skin for my whole account – unfortunately I don’t have any light armor characters LOL)
Necromancer = He was pretty cool, but I failed to create a “necromancer-y” look for him,he looked like a King of some sort…kinda weird.
Also,I felt forced to play Condition Damage, which I dislike.
Not the build itself, but being FORCED to play a build,I don’t know…I just couldn’t play him without thinking “I wish I could use X trait/build,but…woops…it is worse than the build I’m currently using”
I thought I could play with pretty much anything like GW1 Necromancer.
If at least MM was viable in PvE…I would re-create without thinking twice
I also deleted a lv65 ranger Sylvari because, well…he was a Sylvari, and the hate grew on me because his running animation was like THE WORST
I also deleted countless lv40 ~50 characters ,but these 3 (4 with the Sylvari) were my most progressed (deleted) characters.
