Ranger, Thief, Elementalist, Mesmer, Necromancer, Guardian, Warrior, and Revenant. Did I miss any?
Oh, yeah… Engineer!

I’ve done well as a daredevil. After unlocking lotus training, I have good AoE condi with a generous amount of dodges and stealth if I really need it. I don’t kill things as fast as my zerker build, but it works.

Forgive me, I’m on a tablet at work, or I would have listed examples.
Simply put, however, every profession is capable of running a condition build, especially in PvE. It might be not face-meltingly powerful or easy to use, but it’s there.

Second best condi build is Ranger. Third is venom share thief (in a group only) and a distant fourth is warrior. Very distant.

Second is Guard (maybe first with minion changes).

Guard does Burst Burning while Ranger does Sustained Burning/Bleeds.
In PvP, Guard typically wins out. In PvE, Ranger typically wins out. It depends on Encounter Length and how much the enemy moves about.

Yeah but now that spirit weapons are actually viable they add a bunch of DPS that guard couldn’t use before. Plus the hammer is probably the best non-elite in the game for destroying break bars (lol jade wind).

I love my full ascended sinister guardian – the burning damage is incredible
I had not considered revising the spirit weapons, but maybe it’s time for another look.
