Read what I said about that, then go look to those threads and see who was calling for throwing the match. The people calling for it were never the ones doing the main leading of the server.

No good thief is going to care about culling change, in fact most thieves want it as much as anyone else. Even the reveal debuff change they talked about for sPvP will not have much impact for most specs, if it applies to WvW at all.

Let’s not generalize the attitude of a whole server. Maguuma are a worthy opponent, much like YB.

This was the most fun I’ve had in a long time in WvW. Respect for both YB and SoS for a fantastic match. Tsym – show us your best next week. Or better, come back to your old server

SBI here and Mag have been lots of fun for us. No issues with them in our thread or on the battlefield. They are a bit zergy for us in EB, where they have been running with two 30+ zergs during NA prime time. Up until last night, we have not been able to match those numbers. With pretty equal numbers we took and defended SM for 10+ last night against constant MAG and CD zergs. Mag was just relentless.

I honestly think, now that our server has settled a bit since our free fall that Yaks would be a better match for us numbers wise. We tend to be all over the place with numbers and like many servers we have our fair weather players, who come onto a map and if we are struggling or outmanned won’t bother to stay. But, since our last matchup with Yaks our wvw numbers have increased and I am interested in seeing how we would hold up.

And the unfortunate reality of a server’s presence on the forum is that the loudest posters set the reputation for the rest of them. In your case, is OG.
Just like a handful of hackers on any given server can ruin its reputation in game, same thing applies to forum warriors here.

It’s basically human nature that they judge any group based on the worst members in it. Applies outside of video games too.

EDIT REPLY TO YOUR EDIT: Yeah, I’ve noticed him turn his attention back onto Maguuma over the past month or so as well.
But it seems like many Maguumans prides themselves on their forum warriors until people accuse them of having an attitude, and then they get all defensive about generalizing their server.

Also when put into practice (As you can see me doing right here as I talk to you), I don’t actually treat individuals from Maguuma based on the generalization of the server unless they are part of the reason it has that reputation.
But when I speak of “Maguuma the Server”, I will do so in accordance to the reputation they’ve established.

That’s fair, though I still don’t like it. I won’t argue any further. But I hope we are back in T3 this week and that we can put up a better fight. It is weird seeing DB hold 75% of the pie in NA prime.

I like the challenge of this tier I just wish we had more players for half the day, because its really difficult to find people to play with at certain times due to how many more enemies are out.

It’s also a byproduct of Anet’s insistence that your server is your identity in WvW.
As they’ve clearly established when they explained part of the reason they don’t show character names of opposing teams is because they want you to feel like you’re facing the whole server and not individuals from it.

Agreed with the last point, but from my recollection we were lower in earlier days. Maybe it was only for a brief time but I remember being dead last in PPT instead of second more than once. The income evolution graphs are not fine grained enough to show it, I think.

I missed out on most of the FC since I emoed out of the game for a while after spending three minutes running in place in Cliffside, my internet is so embarrassing ._. It’s pretty silly the others wouldn’t fight you, but then that guardian refused to fight me, I hadn’t planned on even participating but I had thought I could at least not embarrass myself against a guard lmao I’ll have to poke fun at the guys tonight that they’re a bunch of wimps but I have a feeling it was all the AI peeps refusing to fight you and not BS, I did see at one point where they refused a 2v2.

If Anet flipped the outmanned buff and the orb buff. It would give people with a Lower population a chance to hold or push. You also bring back the orbs and if a hacker flys over and steals it. Well he just got +25 magic find and gathering, so useless. Anet could also have a range for the buff to only aid you in taking what’s yours
