The only reason you see the score on FA so low a lot of the time is because Terrible Coast never attacks anyone else other than FA. So BG being the opportunists they are take full advantage of this and attack us as well.

I am not complaining however, I love it, keep it coming guys, the more zergs come at us the more loot bags. O soooo many loot bags tonight and spent more than half the night on Yak escorting. Only time I died was against a few awesome TC thieves whilst guiding the yak and at SMC with the entire ICOA and TC server coming down on us at the same time and still held it for 2 wipes of BG and 1 wipe of TC.

Good fun this matchup.

Last night I was in BG borderlands with a good sized group of TC… we never saw any FA there.

Before you complain… and yes that’s EXACTLY what you were doing… realize this is a 3-way fight. Sometimes you’re going to be on the receiving end of a 2v1… sometimes you’ll be fighting 2 v 1 other.

I was in BG borderland a good chunk of the weekend and we basically never saw FA in there at all. If you are defending your home borderland, you should expect to be getting attacked by both of the invading servers.

Tier 2/3 seems to have a lot more fun than Tier 1. As much as I like my original server, I’d much rather be in a tier that doesn’t have pointless forum warrior arguments and just has overall fun. The quirky things going on in this thread, you don’t see going on in the tier 1 thread. That, and if our queues are bad, I can’t imagine how it would be on a tier 1 server.

I aim to do some more WvW than usual this week. I don’t during the weekend because that’s when the guild I’m in runs dungeons, which we don’t normally have time for during the week. Looking forward to running with fellow FAs.

I’ve been in there each night this week, though after midnight EST this weekend

Basically making sure Umber and the towers it feeds are taken care of while our zerg is attending to other matters, though sometimes I have to swap to my beloved QL. If you’ve been around when FA has sent thief groups or medium sized parties (20 or less) to take Umber and been repeatedly repelled, that was me and my staunch defense team. I’m also the red haired engineer who dies there a lot, and runs back to keep hold up the cap. It’s not quite as satisfying as Golanta >.>, but I need a new way to martyr myself, you know?

FA (and your guild specifically ^^) helped me learn correct SM treb placement to counter Durios trebs during our matches together 3 months back, so I will forever be appreciative of that, even if it took me 5 wasted trebs to find the right spot to wipe them

And now ‘we’ can utilise Durios to treb SM. The joy!

We turned our yak fueled hate into more profitable things than qq: parody songs and multi-tier events. By raining on the parade, FA only ensured that it would become more popular and propel us further. People join us now just because they want to do the parade. It gets PVEers more interested in doing WvW. If the parade got crashed again, it would probably enflame our dormant contingency of casual players. So far as I can tell, the yak parade did TC nothing but good.

It’s not a matter of “if”…

Doesn’t BG stand for Bodyguards? Maybe they could protect from the scary bad guys during the dolyak parade?

I think the only thing that will keep us from being there will be the queue. So many FA players want to bathe in Dolyak blood that it’s possible we’ll just be listening to it in Teamspeak.

jaredkincade spends time in the BG/TC/FA score update thread. The TC girls and update posts are providing a much needed positive environment for him to gain perspective. He has come a long way from three weeks ago…

FLASHBACK

Mired in the virtual back alley that is BG/SOR updated threads for over 9 weeks, jaredkincade found himself strung out on troll. It happened slowly over time. First one post, it was only one post, how bad could it be?

“I can stop any time I want. I’m not the troll, they are! THEY ARE!”

Gradually, as he became addicted to Covenn and Indo posts, he told himself he was defending BG’s good name. And maybe he was. But at what cost? At what cost?

Sensing his impending fall into darkness, his server moved to tier 1 to get him away from the addiction plaguing his soul. This helped for awhile, however without professional help, as soon as rating resets were announced he found himself on the wrong side of town, looking for a fix on SOR/TC/SBI update thread. Regression.

THIS WEEK

Are the TC girls enough for jaredkincade to finally move past his addiction for good? Or is this all just a prelude to the inevitable crash when SoR meets BG again in battle?

So sad that I have to work Thursday night. I really hope somebody takes screen shots of the purple dragons carrying the helpless yaks off to feast on them in their evil purple lair. Or makes a video…and a song…That would be awesome. Also, dragons, careful of hairballs. Yaks are shaggy.

Great fun was had in EB last night taking SM from FA. Tier 2 really is more fun than Tier 1 a lot of the time. Although, probably the most entertaining part of the assault was smacking TC down when they poked their noses in to see if they could ninja SM while BG was putting in the work. Can’t wait to do it some more after work.

I have an unbelievable amount of footage from this weekend’s brawls.

This video is KnT/BG vs. RET/FA in our attack on BG-held Bay in the TC BL (So closer to our spawn). We knew that we’d have to defeat KnT to take the keep—and every time we did we had to push our advantage HARD to get those walls down before they could rally to defend it. Nevertheless, we got 3 engagements over the course of the siege.

I included, also, all the footage of KnT wiping us as well to keep it as unbiased as possible (as close to a battle-report as I could manage). But keep in mind that we fought KnT half a dozen times after-the-fact with mixed success.

GREAT fights, and I hope nobody misconstrues this as a troll. I have nothing but the utmost respect for KnT after these many engagements.

Also – we haven’t seen many TC Guilds about, but [AL] made a showing on Friday night.

This was one of the more silly moments we had fighting them

I enjoyed that video! I was rolling with the KnT crew while in TS3 with them, so hearing your communications and seeing your side of the battle was a lot of fun. We were impressed by how much damage you guys seemed to be putting out. Great fights! The BG/TC/FA fights that happened in Bay a little bit later were hilarious.

I was rolling with the KnT crew while in TS3 with them, so hearing your communications and seeing your side of the battle was a lot of fun.

I was the blonde (and cute!) asura in that video who seemingly didn’t listen to Azilyi’s commands. I DO WHAT I WANT.

Or I wasn’t in TS3 at that point. :P I must say, RET commanders are pretty darn good at leading us in the heat of battle. Even when things go crazy, they’re still in there keeping us organized.

lol thanks so much for posting this. I’ll say it again, “Sweeeeeet”. Also, I think what made this fight so satisfying is that, iirc, this was our second wave of a portal bomb we fended off.

I think my next fraps project though will have nothing to do with actual WvW moments, I think it will be “The Best of Jonnyman Talking” moments. RET will enjoy that

This video also demonstrates some particularly bad culling issues. In the third fight VS TC in the NE part of Bay, myself and some other people in a gank squad are killing from the west side (you can see the dunk marks on Azi’s minimap) but we didn’t render to friendlies for the entire fight.

The last fight with KnT shows what appears to be a peculiarity with the new culling mechanic I suspect, in that it appears to have a variable range at which characters are forced to cull past a certain range, even if already loaded. At the start of the fight it’s around 1600, but for whatever reason (I suppose proximity) that range deteriorated to around 800 mid fight, as you see us flow in and out of vision depending on Azilyi’s perspective. It’s equal in so far as neither side has any idea how many people the other have
