Ranger | Necromancer | Warrior | Engineer | Thief
8/10 she has an innocent yet deadly look to her, I like it.
My elementalist, Travis Hawke
7/10 – Typical human male baby-face with a beard. Not entirely your fault.
3/10 – Fashion disaster. Again not entirely your fault as light armor males got shafted big time by ArenaNet. You lost 4 points just for the torso though, so that one’s on you.
7/10. The eyes are a little exaggerated but I appreciate the understated hairstyle. And I like a man with a beard.
Regan Tully – Wearing Dior Haute Couture, Shot by Steven Meisel for Tyria’s Next Top Model.
(edited by kylwilson.9137)
9/10 – she looks evil as kitten
Here’s my thief.
Loving the look. 9.2/10
My thief
7/10 – You seem to like purple. She really is simple other than the hair color :P
My thief Jolhon Attano.
With and without the face paint.
8/10 – Love that new hairstyle. Does the fringe move around or is it static?
Ripley Dietrich – Engineer.
Getting there, slowly. Now if A-net follow through with the dev suggestions of weapon kits being fanny-packs I’ll be even happier.

Weren’t we supposed to comment on the face? The picture on the right (while less generic T3 cultural armor-ish, so kudos for that) is a little small. Perhaps repost?
@Kyl, I love the comparison. Really lovely. 9/10
How about my Sudevi?
:P

8/10, I really like her eyes.
Here’s my mesmer, Pierrot Doll:
9/10 – Very good rendition of the blonde bombshell, like Marylin (some would say Scarlett too).
I would post my necromancer, but then she’s not supposed to be human.

Ill give you 1 for effort XD
Heres my guardian, ignore the sunburned neck XD

Heh, I probably deserved that. Duly rectified below (couldn’t edit above post ’coz I got a post infracted and suspended for like 30 hours or so – weird ban time).
Heres my guardian, ignore the sunburned neck XD
8/10 – not a fan of the punched-in-the-eye face, but he kinda pulls it off.
Okay, my succubus necromancer. I tried to make the eyes look really alien (by going maximum pupil size and purple), and sometimes when she blinks they look almost snakelike (I think it’s perhaps the demon mask). I worked really hard at matching her skintone to the Tequatl wings, but due to the limited skin colours they won’t ever match 100%.

8/10 ~ I can really see the look you’re going for there, the headpiece really obscures the eyes well!
So I completely remade my Mesmer today, thanks gem-store. He’s a bit of a babe.

9/10.
I like him. He has a noble look, but at the first picture, his eyes clearly shows that this is not someone you want to mess with.
Here is my little thief. She is also my first human character.
I have always liked contrasts, so I figured since the Thief profession is somewhat sinister; I wanted her face to be innocent looking.

8/10 – what you were going for works, except the eyes (would have scored it 9/10). Well, more specifically the too dark eyeliner. More muted facial make-up would have made the innocent look come across more strongly. I would suggest you visit the mix-’n-match thread for ideas on her outfit though. Just using human T3 cultural is about as un-creative as you can go with a human adventurer class.

I actually love that topic. There are many beautifull characters and gear combinations in there. I have posted there several times myself in the past.
Regarding my little thief: Well – this is her pvp gear. Since this topic is about the face, I just found a screenshot that showed the face well. ^^
Creative? No.
However, since a-net said that eventually we would be able to use pve gear in pvp and pvp gear in pve I thought it was worth the investment.
Considering her limited gear options in pvp, I rather enjoy the look of the full set.
(edited by Reesha.7901)
Yeah, getting any bloody PvP gear is a kitten. Disregard my comments about her outfit then.
I think this game has the most realistic human faces of any MMO I have ever played so here’s mine….
7/10 interesting outfit . . .
My character has a recurring glitch.
(edited by Viraldi.9610)
7/10, I can’t really get a clear view, and the guardians renewed focus bug on the warrior is… interesting.
My Guardian Arista Skyfall recently went through a rather…. Drastic change =p
8/10. The hair and beard bring out the face and the equip-able eyes make it more tone balanced.
My Human Guardian. Got plenty of faces I could post but this one is my favorite.
8/10 the hair and face goes well together.
Here’s my thief.
8/10
Very nice Cantha-esque look to her.
My young Noble Guardian, Lord Piotr:
A solid 9/10, face of someone who’s been bred into high society.
Reminds me of ‘Knights of the Round Table’, the 1953 film (in terms of the whole look). Love the era.

Pale beauty! She looks great. I love the sort of pompous, high society look she has going on. 9/10
Here’s my Ele, miss Clara Afterthought. She’s young and still trying to master the elements (at one point she temporarily blinded herself from over practicing with Air and had to wear a blindfold :p) Sorta went for a brunette Kasmeer look

8/10
Overall, I like it. To be honest that hairstyle seems like it’s beginning to get a little too common for me but it looks great so I understand why
I don’t like the choice of lips and the eyelashes very much, and of course since we each have our own personal preferences of what looks best I’d probably at best give somebody a 9/10 unless they chose exactly what I’d choose. I’m sure it works that way for most everyone haha… but I think you did a really good job on the outfit of your character and choice of colors especially. It looks really nice with the brown hair
This is my warrior in full zoija. Everything is transmuted to orrian except the helm which is hidden (all helmets are as aesthetically displeasing as it gets imo) and the gauntlets are actually transmuted to T3 protector’s gauntlets. They look much nicer than the orrian gauntlets. I was contemplating T3 shoulderplates too but… I don’t like how they look on any character unless it’s with the platebody/platelegs as well. That’s just my personal taste.
Oh, right. This was supposed to be about faces only oops.

8/10 I love the pretty face, and with the black armor and Twilight, it gives off a little bit of a “good girl gone bad” vibe (especially with the small revealing areas)
And now I present my warrior, Heavenly Moon.
8/10 Has a sort of bored or bummed out look to her face. I like how expressive it is.
Here is Ryujinshi my Warrior
8/10
It’s a really nice armor set, though the brightness of the gauntlets throws me off a bit. I like his face, he looks like a really good guy. :))

Here’s my necro who doesn’t look like a necro (at first glance, at least). I was aiming to create a nice contrast between an innocent face and incredibly morbid abilities. I somehow ended up creating an Anna Tsuchiya look-a-like. I still love her, though. I like how her ‘aura’ changes depending on the lighting. : ))

Very cute. I had something similar in mind going with an appearance that doesn’t scream morbid and reanimator of the dead (my character is also a Necromancer.)
Here are two pictures, one before the recent hair style additions which was taken in better lighting and another after in much crappier quality.

A fuller cheek look always looks so much better on characters with darker skin, particularly females. That’s definitely the hairstyle of choice too. Solid 7/10!
Well the new update gave me literally what I’ve been looking for since launch, I think I’m finally done.

I was going to go with 8/10, but then I noticed that trout pout. pleasdonthitme! 7/10, I wish there was more color to either her face OR her hair. The paleness just makes me a bit uneasy.
As for my main, he recently got his eye put out by a skritt (cause he did the whole “your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries” bit), but that’s okay because I was going after the whole ‘grizzled veteran of the front’ look anyway. Besides, now he’s got that evil eye when he drops into a fighting stance.

Lol, if it was that a thief, I’d give it more. And if beard was shaved a bit better xD (it looks like a man in mid 30s or even 40s here, xD no offense)
- in general, it looks cool pirateish, a pirate warrior. Yarr! 8/10.
Here is my elementalist, Eleanor.
I wanted her to be kawaii with an asian touch.

I’m in may late 30’s, why would I would a fresh-faced toon? :-(
I did not want to offend you, but I am used that people make younger characters since everyone wants to be younger and prettier – BUT I did not rate you because of the age. It was because of the eye patch on a warrior duh

Not worried about the rating, you just seem to be confused on the principles of aging. I’ll say this: I never had so much attention from ladies than after I hit my 30’s. :-D
;-)

Yeah, not true.
I’d love to play a human guardian that looks intimidating and brutal. Not a barbie girl/guy in a barbie world.
7/10 – Lots of character, but something looks off
My currently leveling Canthanese thief with inspiration from 4Minute’s Jeon Ji Yoon
I’m sorry, high quality refuses to work on the computer I’m stranded on
I already posted before but I remade my girls faces since then,so here
Yumiko Emi Ishida (top), Hikari Kyoko Ishida (middle), and Tomoko Izushi (bottom)
Hikari Kyoko Ishida (middle)
I like that one. She looks like a real person unlike most characters. The facial features are not perfect and some of them don’t match, which is what most real people look like. Slightly large ears, kinda surly mouth, but big anime eyes. Really good job IMO.
(edited by calavel.6249)
Thanks! Earlier in the thread, I had my older faces… They looked more anime styled than actually more realistic Asian/Japanese for their Canthan heritage which I’m more aiming for. I still want the cute factor though.

I really like Tomoko Izushi’s face. She definitely has a Canthanese look about her and she manages to look both tough and beautiful. She looks like she’s about to take on the world and win. 9/10
Here is my new alt: Bethany Shaemoor.
Bethany: 8/10 I really like the strength she seems to exude. Yet just a touch of calm and cuteness to go with it.
Here’s mine: Ezana Loremaster- ( She’s bi-racial, a mix of Elonian, and Canthan.)
9/10 .. reminds me of Jolene Blalock .. quality of the picture is sadly bad.
Here my new Human Warrior :
