What comes to mind for me is getting attributes based on the core legends, plus effects when you are blinded, (“sight beyond sight” and all that jazz).

1-5) +Precision, Toughness, Condi Dmg, Healing Power
6) Gain x seconds of resistance & might when blinded

Any other ideas?

Yeah I’d like to see new runes for the revenant, based on their legends too, like a healing one that’s ventari specific, or conditions that’s mallyx specific.

There could be one for Shiro that gives:

1) +2% damage against foes over 50% health
2) +35 Precision
3) +4% damage against foes over 50% health.
4) +65 Precision
5) +6% damage against foes over 50% health.
6) Release an explosion of Jade Shards that hit nearby enemies, upon being downed.

There could be one for Shiro that gives:

That last one is a bit too legend-specific

I would like some access to stealth. I know Shiro is assassin styled but a little access to stealth would be nice

I think the rune should focus on legend invoking and energy consumption

Unfortunately as Rev is an “all rounder” in terms what can do depending on legends swapped it probably go more towards being the same for the run

1) x% all stats
2) x% all stats
3) x% all stats
4) 5s Fury on weapon swap (10s ICD)
5) x% all stats
6) 2s resistance on weapon swap (10s ICD)
……..

They like most runes to be usable on more than one class hence I went with weapon swap not legend swap.
The choice of 4 and 6 are changeable, haven’t put much thought into them yet.

They seem to want fury to be a lot to do with the class and adding a way to get resistance from runes will bring a tiny bit of counterplay to the masses of conditions being thrown around now.

1: +8 to all stats
2: +5% condition duration
3: +12 to all stats
4: 25% chance to blind foes when struck. (20 sec ICD)
5: +16 to all stats
6: Create a rift at your location that cripples and pulls foes when activating an elite skill (45 second CD)

  • +5% Boon Duration, +5% Condition Duration
  • +12 All Stats
  • +10% Boon Duration, +10% Condition Duration
  • +16 All Stats
  • When Swapping Weapons, Legend, Attunement or Kit, gain +100 to All Stats for 3s. (Cooldown: 9s)

If we’re going for thematics, something like that above maybe?^

Nothing to say there couldn’t be specific Rune Sets applied to each of the Legends, though, as long as they work in a general spectrum for more professions:

Rune of Jalis:

  • +25 Toughness
  • +5% Taunt Duration
  • +50 Toughness
  • +10% Taunt Duration. Taunting an Enemy grants you Protection for 3s. (Cooldown: 20s)
  • +100 Toughness
  • +15% Taunt Duration. Taunting an Enemy grants you Aegis for 6s. (Cooldown: 30s)

Rune of Mallyx:

  • +25 Condition Damage
  • +5% Condition Duration
  • +50 Condition Damage
  • +10% Condition Duration. Chance when struck to grant Torment (2 stacks, 8s) to the target. (Cooldown: 15s)
  • +100 Condition Damage
  • When using an Elite Skill, Copy all your Conditions to nearby Foes. (Cooldown: 60s)

Rune of Ventari:

  • +25 Healing Power
  • +5% Boon Duration
  • +50 Healing Power
  • +10% Boon Duration. Applying Regeneration to an Ally Heals them for a small amount.
  • +100 Healing Power
  • +25% Outgoing Healing. Whenever you heal an Ally, heal yourself for 10% of the Healing. (Cooldown: 2s.)

Rune of Shiro:

  • +25 Ferocity
  • 25% chance when struck to cause your next attack to Siphon Health. (Cooldown: 25s)
  • +50 Ferocity
  • Siphoning Health from an enemy inflicts Weakness (4s). (Cooldown: 15s)
  • +100 Ferocity
  • +125 Power. After using an Elite skill, your next 3 attacks Siphon health. (Cooldown: 40s)

How about a Support Rune, that heals nearby allies and whenever you attack somebody that is using a skill.

Prefer + Healing, and +Toughness/vitality

There should really be Superior Rune of Shiro, Jalis, Mallyx and Ventari rather than a single Superior Rune of the Revenant. Or then the Superior Rune of the Revenant would have to be very themed around the invocation style things for the revenant.

6) 25% Movement speed. OR 5 seconds per weapon swap/maybe legends can count for this too)

Ideal price range 12g-15g a piece.

Thoughts on the rune when coming up with it. A Revenant is a jack of all trades. So ideally they should have a bit of all stats that they would need. They should have some healing power and vitality to make them a little tanky, but power and precision to make them do more damage, the duration will also help with support and condi, while the movement speed to help with mobility.

This rune along with every other rune, can be used for every class, aside of ranger runes. It should be tweaked so it isn’t the “best FotM rune omg” because that wouldn’t be cool. But I feel revenant needs runes to fit it’s jack of all trades role.

Thoughts? Because not to much came into the making of it. Just a quick idea.

It is too early to talk about Runes for Revenant or any other HoT content like the new specialization lines for each profession as we need to know more about how Revenant will work in action and not as a POI demo.

Specialization might also change a lot of how every profession will work together in actual game play and how different combination of stats from gear might effect Revenant and vice verse the other existing profession. Too many unknown might make game balancing impossible right now.
