I agree that the current auto is a bit wonky, but the proposed changes arn’t quite the right answer, as given the above example
Don’t give Anet an oppurtunity to stealth nerf Rev again..
They’d say “fix sword animation”, but in reality is decreasing sword’s attack speed with new animation…
I’d prefer bug fixes to aesthetics any day.

It already feels sluggish. 3/4 cast on brutal blade is just wrong.

Hilt bash is an awkward animation on its own, much less as part of an AA that’s going to be repeated. Do not want.
I actually really like the current AA animation string, but then again I play Asura, so maybe its just better on them than other races. I definitely don’t want it to be changed to anything more generic, though, that’s for sure. I already hate that my Guardian and Mesmer have the exact same animation string for their sword autos.
Really not feeling the animations in the auto (or #2, even) with the sword. It just doesn’t feel Revenant-y. actually it has no identity at all – something I feel they always succeeded so well with like the warrior axe or ranger sword/greatsword. Without skill #3 I couldn’t tell at all who was performing that.
So, according to the Wiki, the Revenant Sword Combo has the following Activation Times:
1/2s – 3/4s – 1/2s with the total number being 2.05s, meaning an aftercast of Approx 0.3s in total.
Let’s see about switching things up:
First Chain – Normal Sword Swing (130 Range, 1/2s AT, No Aftercast)
Second Chain – Normal Sword Swing #2 (130 Range, 1/2s AT, 0.1s Aftercast)
Final Chain – Heartseeker Animation (180 Range, 1/2s AT, 0.5s Aftercast, 1s Delay for Rift)
Whole Sequence would take 2.1s to complete, with the Rift delayed by 1s, pretty much identic to the former with a miniscule range buff for kiting enemies, while also putting a lot more weight into the final blow and hopefully giving a more fluid animation than what is currently provided.
At least that’s the idea, might look weird on Charr still.

Asura AA animations are fine, awesome even as long as you’re not female
