Just because they have a brain doesn’t necessarily means they know how to use them.
What: P/D thieves, their bleeds.
Why: Bleeds and conditions OP! Remove the bleed from #1 .
They need to nerf our Armor from being so Trenchy. Trenchcoats are OP and restrict movement.

What: Cloak n’ dagger
Why: It can give you almost perma stealth if you connect all of them. This is CLEARLY way too op.
Solution: Make CND give 3s torment on top of the vulnerability it already gives and remove the stealth.
As compensation for this nerf, move “hard to catch” from master tier to adept tier. This will make thief sooo much harder to kill so it is not only a big deal, it’s a MASSSIIIIVE buff.

Why: Thief is too hard to catch, other players may get too frusthrated. Thief should only be a torso, flopping on the ground. This way other players can easily kill even an experienced thief!! IF the torsothief can, however, land some damage to attacking player, or even if he/she bleeds on the attacking player, thieves account should be automaticly permabanned. Oh, and the torsothief players PC should violently explode at that point. Preventing the player from living and thusly preventing him from buying another copy of GW 2 and rolling another op thief.

Why: True Story: I recently encountered a thief in wvw. I saw that he was d/d and prepared my stunlocks, stabilities, and aoe. Suddenly, he unequipped one dagger, and proceeded to spam Twisting Fangs (1 dagger equipped; skill3). Not only was the range horrendously OP (130), but the spinning animation brought tears to my eyes! I wept as I died from this OP skill. Please, remove the range, or the spinning animation, or make thieves use TWO daggers, not ONE.

What: Shadow Arts V Trait, Infusion of Shadow.
Why: Obviously increasing the initiative gain to 2 makes it way too OP compared to the pre Dec. 10 patch Infusion of Shadow which only gave a 2 initiative gain. This new 2 initiative gain that they gave us is way too powerful compared to the old 2 initiative gain and needs to be nerfed immediately.
What: Being able to see while stealthed.
Why: Stealth is invisibility, which means the thief’s retinas should not be able to absorb light whilst stealthed. Therefore, thieves should be presented with a blank screen while stealth is active. Mesmers use magic blindfolds and Rangers can, I don’t know, probably smell the landscape really well or something and thus should not be impacted by this change.

Why: No one has ever been able to be as even go as far for thief as also been for even!
What: condition P/D or P/P thieves with perplexity runes running caltrops and venom
Why: It is a really strong (but cheesy) build though, like the thief version of the blackwater mesmer build.

Why: Since we’re free loot bags, this is a merge of all the requests, Not only should the class name change to “Free Loot Bag” and take away our limbs so we can’t run or do anything, instead a total remake should be made (I agree with Burnfall! He’s totally right when he said it.). Our character creation screen should show a 8 slotted bag that we can then customize (pick out ribbons and colors…), and as we level-up/gear-up as bags we progress into a 10 slotted loot bag then into a 15 and so on. Or we start off as “Tiny Loot Bag” and progress into a “Small Loot Bag” and so on.

Why: With signet of shadows, heartseeker, stealth, and all their teleports, they can clear a map of all gather nodes in about 20 min. This is way OP, it’s gotten to the point that no other class can hope to gather as quickly as them. This is making most (cheers to the very few non-permagather thieves out there) thieves very rich, while every other class gets to sit in Lion’s Arch with 0 gold wishing they had rolled these incredibly OP gatherers. Ever since ascended weapons came out all the mid-level nodes have become pricy making these OP gatherers even richer. A nerf is needed more now than ever before, or else you are going to have 90% of your playerbase leave because you could not fix a terribly designed and OP gathering class.

I’m finally able to take some time to carefully examine thief class conditions, including the suggested nerfs in this thread.
So lately, I’ve resided in requesting thief overall class re-design, instead of nerfs.
Why so?
As i had already posted, nerfing thief class will not fix ‘break’ this class, not a bit because of 2 reasons; stealth and invincibility.
You can not separate them at all, and unfortunately, this is what i believe Arena.net is trying to do; and it will not work.. ever!

My wishlist for thief class, is to redesign the class from the ground up.
As the saying goes, “if you can not make something new, replace it with a new on”

That’s a good idea, pre-nerf weapons that we might get….
So might want to expand it to: Longbow, rifle, axe, greatswords,…
They should swap feline grace with hard to catch and rename it: “Easy to Catch”
Easy to Catch: When your opponent targets you with an ability that is out of range, teleport the Thief up to 900 yards towards the opponent.
This will really help other classes keep up with the Thief’s OP mobility.

So what i would like to see its, on somes skills of all others class, something that can :

Conditions have anti condition, boons have boons remove, damage have block.. etc
But stealth…. nothing !
I agree that thoses skills might be a problem for the mesmer, since the mesmer stealth is far away to be as OP as the thief stealth.
So yeah its should be somes anti-stealth nearly only against thief.
Or just prevent the thief of beeing able to perma stealth. because actualy they are really way to lame with that “ability”

This also proves that Arena.net Intentionally allowed this to happen.
Example; would you forgive someone who mistakenly hurt you? or someone who Intentionally hurt you?
