Thought i would look back on your posts to see what class you are. Im actually enjoying fighting warriors on my thief now, rather than destroying them. But tbh most of these mace shield warriors wear zerk gear so it doesn’t take too long to destroy them with my sword dagger , shortbow.

Haven’t run into any of these warriors 1v1 as of late (kinda noticed SoR and BG like to travel in groups even for roamers….once I chased this guardian halfway across the map just so he could find a buddy), but I’m eating super veggie pizza and plus the 30 points in DA I have 68% condi duration even if they have -98% condi duration. Fight should be interesting now that I’m prepared…

You realize that dueling builds are different from roaming builds right? If you know what build I’m gonna run, then you can just run a build specifically tailored to beat this one. How is that even fair?

As a thief I have to disagree. It’s not OP, it’s just a build people aren’t use to counter yet. Warriors have been in the shadows for way too long, and I’m glad I finally see some! I have never played a warrior, but I’ve never had any trouble beating them, and I still do. It’s all about evading or interrupting the skull crack, then it’s just about bursting the warrior down. With enough damage you can more him too..

When warriors dominate PvP / WvW with this build, then we can start talking about it being too powerful. And as far as I know, they doesn’t dominate any PvP part of this game.

Hence you believe a thief shouldnt run from a warrior even if it counter the thiefs build, this is why i can’t take you seriously. Instead of trying to keep warrior the best roamer in WvW you should strike to make thiefs more relevant in the department they lack in.

1) Recent buff of healing signet [sustain buff]
2) Trait added for 25% passive movement speed boost with melee weapons [mobility buff]
3) Skull crack duration increased by 1 second [CC buff – indirect damage buff]

I’m not in charge of balancing so I don’t want to jump to conclusions, but I’m usually very sensitive to this sort of thing. (overall game balance and such)

It doesn’t matter if there are a few counters to this build….every build has counters. This one doesn’t have many and it’s just over the top right now. You may disagree with me that’s fine, since that’s your opinion, but my opinion is that it’s op and warrior was overtuned.

It doesn’t matter if there are a few counters to this build….every build has counters. This one doesn’t have many and it’s just over the top right now. You may disagree with me that’s fine, since that’s your opinion, but my opinion is that it’s op and warrior was overtuned.

I was levelling my warrior earlier, but then I remembered with next patch comes account balance so I’ll be able to level my FotM warrior much easier.

When you hit 80 hit me up man, ill be happy to duel you for some easy kills.

OP builds dont need more than a day to be good on them. Also since you claim to know so much about it then it cant be hard to pick up.

You realize that dueling builds are different from roaming builds right? If you know what build I’m gonna run, then you can just run a build specifically tailored to beat this one. How is that even fair?

The problem is that you’ve demonstrated that you don’t really know what you’re talking about. You find stealth spam Thief to be a cheap build, and claim Thieves should be overwhelmingly better than Warrior 1v1. A Warrior has to catch a bad Thief or be fortunate as hell to down one in a 1v1 scenario given the Thief’s survivability through Stealth spam.

But you don’t even seem to consider that because you think the Thief build is cheap. You seem to be arguing YOUR build should be overhwelmingly better than ALL Warrior builds.

And that’s actually ridiculous. It’s insane to think that way, and you’re either a troll, or I feel bad for you.

Just because you “feel” doesn’t mean its correct. The build has plenty of counters and its not OP due to them. How can you think this build is OP in WvW and think thieves are fine in WvW when they are over the top since mobility is KING in WvW.

Why does the OP even play thief when they have the most cheesiest builds and mechanics out of all classes?

The build is on the strong side, but why is it so ?

In my mind, the culprit is the new healing signet with adrenal heal and berserker stance , coupled with a short cooldown on skull crack .

Toning down healing signet but improving its benefit from healing power and increasing skull crack cooldown to 15 secs basic would be more then enough imo

I can say more than a month ago but less than 2. I know for sure since i tested the duration of CC with -98% reduction vs friends who had 100% Duration (food/runes/traits) to all condi and CC would instantly disappear. Then few weeks later i started to notice i would get crippled for 1-2 seconds, immobilizes weren’t instantly disappearing AND corrupt boon from a necro would give me a 15 seconds or so of cripple.

There was a post about it but i forget where it is, basically they test it and basically lemongrass does nothing vs vegi pizza, they cancel each other out.

You do the videos for spvp and show us how OP it is, really i want to see, you dont need to lvl up for that, just enter the mist, show us how much of a talker you are by not doing it or puting some excuses or not even answering this post.

Man, it has to feel very bad to not beign able to be carried by the most op stealth class in the history of mmorpg, you should stop playing video games for the sake of your dignity.

First of all, I don’t really use stealth so I don’t know why you keep bring up that “most op stealth class” thing. Secondly, feel free to show us how op thieves are in sPvP with some videos since you keep saying that and I doubt you’d be able to back it up. 3rdly, I never said the build is OP in sPvP, it’s a very different dynamic in sPvP.

When i said stealth class i was refering to the class not only the actual stealth, thieves have a lots of ways to be cheese, want evidence look at the videos i posted in here:

And it dosent matter if its WVW or SPVP a stun breaker or a teleport is the counter to this build, HELL YOU ARE A THIEF you can spam blind and shut down a warrior completely… just try to use one of the dosens of teleports thief have or a stun breaker and stop with this nonesense.

Warriors are overtuned for 1v1; they need to be brought down a notch or two, if they can do fine vs 2 or even 3 people.

It’s the combination of stun, mobility, and sustain that makes them a problem. Nerf either 1 of those 3 significantly or all 3 slightly and warrior will be balanced again.

Please stop talking out of your behind. You should probably stop posting on the forums and start learning how to play.

Balanced against what exactly? I continue to see people post that warriors are “balanced”, but there is no mention of what they are balanced against.

I personally run a setup similar to this one on my warrior, and I have for awhile. That’s one reason I feel that it’s off. Healing signet adds too much passive sustain for a high health/high toughness profession. I can build tanky, and still do way too much damage. If you think I’m lying about having a warrior that is 80 in exotics and that I pvp on him I will gladly provide screen shots (can’t do recordings).

Sure some people come here just to QQ that warriors are OP. I don’t agree with that. I think simply that healing signet got over buffed by a good margin, and that the current setup allowing very long stuns is causing issues. I don’t think this will be terribly noticeable to people until another profession gets a stun added that they can chain in a similar fashion though.

I think in pvp there should always be a trade off. If you go tanky, you take a hit to damage. If you go damage, you can’t be tanky. That is the entire basis of counter play. When you remove the counter play from a situation you have a problem. Right now there is a problem with certain specs on the warrior because it’s removing the counter play. If you want you can check my history and see that I argue against people saying “guardians need a buff” for the same reason. You need to have counter play in the game. Guardians are in a good spot for that because they lack good cc, and they have to choose either tanky or damage.

TBH this will eventually have to be nerfed. Simply due to where we can get our stat points while building this and having both that type of defense and offense. HS is kittening insane with a tanky build and this. You can take next to no damage and still pack out an insane amount. that being said when the nerf comes lets hope its reasonable vs this build must go.

WvW commentary only. Spvp is Spvp and a balancing discussion about that place is not even worth it. I love my warrior I really do but this is clearly OP and I rather just call it like it is. Main reason my thief sits is because it feels OP to play I do not want to get their with my warrior.

Are people trolling about this being OP or is everyone taking crazy pills? 100b is so bad… If any of you happen to be on BG/TC happy to show you whats up in WvW, bring all the -condi duration food you want because it won’t make the slightest bit of difference.

Excalibur if you are fighting SOR craft your war to 80 and lets do this, you will either see the build is actually bad or claim w/e class is OP. Though I can’t really argue with the second part as my only other 80s are thief and necro right now. =/ (Also not trying to call you out for whakittens worth, video proof would be good)

Im not even one of those people to cry nerf every 5seconds but this build is beyond ridiculous. I got tired of being pwnd by these stun warriors so i decided to make one and use this build…pretty much mastered it in 6 pvp pug matchesthe damage is almost as high as a glass cannon and the survivability of a condition build. Idk witch build is more cheap, this one, or dagger/pistol thief weapon set
